Vypor MOTU Origins In-Hand Images

Huge thanks to Mr. Home Arcade for scoring the MOTU Origins Vypor figure and sending us exclusive in-hand images for us to share with you. The Sinister Embodiment of Viper Tower preorders are due to fill in November 2024 so it’s awesome to see the figure ahead of schedule! We recently discovered Vypor’s Target listing so it looks like he’ll be a wider release as he’s already gone up for preorder on online retailers like Entertainment Earth and Big Bad Toy Store. If you are on the fence about preordering this figure, hopefully these stunning pics will change your mind!

Package and Art

Vypor looks amazing on card and he is packed with mouth wide open, showing off his articulated jaw! Vypor’s card art that features the stunning work of Axel Gimenez and Joseph John Zacate. The entire scene on the back of Vypor’s card it is spectacular! We see Eldor kneeling in front of Vypor with the new Snake Men Cham-Or surrounding them with Lady Slither looking on. There are some new Snake Men that are in the background on Vypor’s card art. Now that we can see a fully colored digital image, there is no doubt that the new Snake Men are a brand new character called Cham-Or. Huge shoutout to Planet Eternia for thumbing through the new Kings of the Snake Men book by Axel Gimenez and Leonardo Vega.

Vypor comes packed with a mini comic entitled, Leviathan’s War.

Figure Details

Say ahhhhhhhh!!!! Getting a closer look at Vypor’s massive, articulated jaw, there are a mix a teeth of varying sizes plus 4 huge fangs! There is also a very cool prehistoric texture to the figure’s head sculpt. It’s full of bumpy snake skin detail! Vypor has to be one of the most stunning and more detailed figures of the MOTU Origins line! I love the mouth wide open look and you can see the full set of chompers and fangs!

The gold chest armor is a great backdrop for the green snake symbol in the middle of his chest. You can also see the scalloped detail on the loin cloth that has an amazing purple belt with a red and gold buckle.

Vypor’s arms have some great detail on the them and his forearm gauntlets feature a nice chevron design to them.

Here are some more up close and personal shots of Vypor’s jaw and the chains that hang from his armor. An interesting factoid is that the chain on Vypor is the same chain used on the Eternia playset, but with a smaller hoop on the end. It has 24 rings, including the ones on the end, which are also the same! Here is a close up of Vypor’s white scepter / staff. It has a great design and the white plastic makes it look like it’s bone.

The sinister embodiment of Viper Tower is no joke as Vypor looks like a scaled down version Viper Tower from the Eternia playset!

Parts and Figure Swapping

There are some amazing things you can do with this figure if you have the parts! For example, you can throw Lady Slither’s tail on him! The version you see below was painted red and is a custom red snake man body we’ve seen teased on Moss Man’s box art.

Rattlor also makes a great body to throw him on as you can play around with the neck pieces as they fit nicely on the figure and give him a killer look!

you can also throw other heads and necks from other figures like Terroar and it’s cool to see that the neck pieces fit in Vypor’s collar piece.

Vypor Official Card Art Reveal

Roy Juarez officially revealed the digital art that adorns Vypor’s card art that features the stunning work of Axel Gimenez and Joseph John Zacate. Special shout out to Shawn for solving the mystery surrounding the presence of some new Snake Men that are in the background on Vypor’s card art. Now that we can see a fully colored digital image, there is no doubt that the new Snake Men are a brand new character called Cham-Or. Huge shoutout to Planet Eternia for thumbing through the new Kings of the Snake Men book by Axel Gimenez and Leonardo Vega. Roy announced on his Instagram page, “A clossser look at the sssinissster artwork and packaging for the upcoming Originsss Vypor.”

Up close, we can see the amazing colors of Cham-Or and these figures and concepts will definitely bring some color into your Snake Men display.

Cham-Or Tease

Cham-Or is a new Snake Men character and will reuse parts from Tung Lashor, Mosquitor, Skeletor, Rattlor, Keldor, Castle Grayskull Space Suit, and Frog Monger!

Axel himself responded to our Instagram post and highlighted two very cool details about Cham-Or!

May 4, 2024: Vypor Cardback Full Sketch

Roy released another update to the MOTU Origins Vypor illustration, which shows the full sketch! We can clearly see Eldor on his knees in front of Vypor. We also get a better look at the other new Snake Men in the scene, along with Lady Slither and her throne. Special thank to sir Eldor himself, masterversal_toyhunter, for giving us a heads up!!!
