I have been looking forward to this one since we first saw Wave 7 of Super7’s G.I. Joe ReAction+ line live and in person at Toy Fair 2026, and getting these figures in hand now is a real full circle moment. This wave pulls from three different corners of the G.I. Joe universe, and that variety is where everything finally clicks for me. Chuckles in his iconic Hawaiian shirt, drawn straight from the 1987 animated movie, is one I never expected to see at this scale and he looks fantastic on the card. His sculpt nails that laid-back undercover look, and the included laser pistol and holster are smart accessory choices. Daina from the Oktober Guard is a deep cut that I am really happy with, representing the Sunbow cartoon in her arctic pink outfit with rifle in hand. She’s a character that rarely gets toy treatment, so seeing her here gives this release some real weight. Flash in his comic book deco is loaded with extras including a helmet with a functioning visor, backpack with flexible hose, and his signature XMLR-1A laser rifle. Then there’s the Hydro-Viper, one of Cobra’s creepiest troop builders, coming with an oxygen tank, spear gun, and flippers. Super7 continues to prove that the ReAction+ format can do justice to even the most niche corners of the Joe roster and thank goodness we did not get another repaint in this wave. Huge thanks to Big Bad Toy Store for sending this G.I. Joe ReAction+ Wave 7 over for review, and if any of these have been on your must have list, you can still grab them now at Big Bad Toy Store.

Wave 7

The full Wave 7 assortment is lined up here on their cards, featuring Chuckles, Hydro-Viper, Flash, and Daina. Each card carries the classic explosion burst artwork behind the figures, with character-specific illustrations that do a nice job capturing their vintage look.

As the four figures stand together out of their packaging, and the variety in this wave is immediately clear. Chuckles in his Hawaiian shirt and holster, the Hydro-Viper in full orange dive gear with flippers, Daina in her pink winter outfit with fur trim, and Flash in his green and red padded suit with a connected hose running to his white rifle. Thank goodness we did not get a another repaint of Cobra Commander or Snake Eyes in this wave!

Where to Buy

You can purchase the figures below:

Chuckles

Packaging

The front of the card features classic artwork of Chuckles in his signature floral-patterned shirt, holding a pistol and looking ready for action against an orange starburst. The back of the card includes a grid of character portraits from the wave and a file card section with his bio, which reads: “File Name: Provost, Philip M. Primary Military Specialty: Criminal Investigations Division. Secondary Military Specialty: Intelligence. Birthplace: Little Rock, Arkansas. CHUCKLES has been undercover for so long that nobody is really sure about who he actually works for. He got his start in ‘hole-and-corner’ operations at Southeastern Insurance Group in Fort Lauderdale, where he still feels he owes his allegiance. CHUCKLES is a man’s man, every CID boy’s favorite companion. Not just because of his jocularity or his perseverance in the field, but because he is so conscientious about keeping up his ‘cover’ that he’ll volunteer for missions nobody else wants. ‘His natural likability is his greatest asset. He is aware of the consequences of being found out…He’s also confident of his ability to fight his way out of any situation.'”

Chuckles comes with a pistol and a holster as his included accessories. The pistol is molded in a light gray plastic, while the holster is a brown strap piece that loops over the shoulder.

Three views of Chuckles show the figure from the front, back, and in an action pose, giving a full look at the 3.75-inch scale sculpt based on his appearance in the 1987 G.I. Joe: The Movie. The back of the shirt carries the yellow floral pattern all the way around, and his dark blue pants tuck into black sculpted boots, which is a nice match to his animated movie look.

Sporting his white Hawaiian shirt with yellow floral print, Chuckles is posed with his gray pistol. The brown shoulder holster sits snugly across his chest, and I like how the sculpted belt with its gold buckle detail ties the whole look together.

Diana

Packaging

The front of the card features original Super7 artwork depicting Daina in her arctic pink outfit with white fur trim, carrying a rifle against an explosive orange and yellow burst. The back of the card includes a grid of other figures in the wave along with Daina’s file card, which reads: “File Name: CLASSIFIED. Primary Specialty: Marksman. Secondary Specialty: Helicopter Pilot. Birthplace: Czech Republic. DAINA is the lone female on the OKTOBER GUARD team, and her teammates often make the mistake of underestimating her skills. This has proven to be highly detrimental to the forces of COBRA and others that have challenged the OKTOBER GUARD. DAINA is a skilled tactician, second only to Colonel Brekhov himself, a world-class sniper, and a helicopter pilot of considerable talent. Her personality is somewhat of a mystery. She has a surprising sense of humor but, in the midst of a conflict, is all business. Her deepest commitment is to the team. ‘You want charm, go somewhere else. I’m here to fight, and to win.'”

Daina is shown here in her full arctic pink outfit with white fur trim along the collar, waist, and boot tops, paired with black gloves and black boots. Her rifle accessory is laid out beside her, molded in a flat olive-gray plastic.

The white fur trim at the hem of the jacket and around the boot tops has a textured sculpt that reads well from both angles.

A close-up of Daina from a profile view shows the sculpt on her face, with black hair swept back beneath a white fur ushanka. She’s holding her rifle in both hands, with the textured white fur cuffs on her gloves providing a nice contrast against the dark molded plastic of the weapon.

Flash

Packaging

The front of the card features classic hand-painted artwork of Flash in his green and red uniform, laser rifle in hand, set against an explosive yellow and orange burst. The back includes a grid of character portraits for the wave lineup, along with Flash’s file card, which reads: “File Name: Gambello, Anthony S. Primary Military Specialty: Infantry. Secondary Military Specialty: Electronics CBR. Birthplace: Lodi, California. FLASH is highly skilled in many aspects of electronic technology and is capable of equipment repair in the field. Specialized Education: Electronics School, Chemical School, Covert Electronics. Qualified Expert: XMLR-1A Laser Rifle and Warsaw Pact small arms. ‘Flash is methodical and persistent. Has an innate and unshakable faith in the order of the universe. He’s working on his master’s degree in electronic engineering (nights).'”

Flash GI Joe Super7 ReAction+ Wave 7 Review 4

Figure Details

Flash stands in his green and red comic-accurate uniform, with red padded sections across the chest and thighs and brown gauntlets and boots adding a nice color break. His accessories are laid out alongside him, including the green helmet with clear visor, the XMLR-1A laser rifle, the laser rifle attachment, and the backpack.

Flash GI Joe Super7 ReAction+ Wave 7 Review 1

The front and rear views show Flash’s green suit with its ribbed red padding across the chest, thighs, and back, along with silver circular details on the shoulders that catch the light nicely. The sculpt on the back of the head shows clean, swept hair in a bright red-orange that contrasts well with the green collar of the suit.

Flash GI Joe Super7 ReAction+ Wave 7 Review 5

Armed with the white XMLR-1A laser rifle, Flash is posed with the backpack fitted snugly and its flexible hose running down to the figure’s waist. The brown boots and gauntlets pop against the green suit, and the green helmet with its clear visor sits low over his eyes, giving the whole look a clean vintage feel.

Flash GI Joe Super7 ReAction+ Wave 7 Review 2

From the rear, the backpack is the focal point here, with its boxy sculpt featuring recessed panel lines and a flexible white hose that loops down from the base of the pack. I like the way the hose connects cleanly and has enough give to allow for posing without pulling the pack away from the figure’s back.

Hydro-Viper

Packaging

The front of the card features original Super7 artwork depicting the Hydro-Viper in a dramatic underwater scene, with his red and orange suit and blue helmet rendered in a style that feels right at home with classic ’80s card art. The figure sits in a clear blister with his accessories, including an oxygen tank, spear gun, and two flippers. The back of the card includes a grid of other figures available in the wave along with the Hydro-Viper’s file card, which reads: “File Name: CLASSIFIED. Primary Specialty: Underwater Specialist. Secondary Specialty: Infantry. HYDRO-VIPERS are qualified EELS (COBRA Frogmen) who volunteer to be surgically altered to withstand nitrogen narcosis and other side effects of deep diving. Synthetic webs are implanted between their fingers and subcutaneous fat production is stimulated by chemical injections to provide natural insulation. The long term effects of these procedures are known to be psychologically destabilizing…” followed by a quote: “I’m sorry, those guys just aren’t human anymore. They have a handshake like a dead mackerel and they leave damp spots on all the furniture. I realize that they are virtually unbeatable in underwater combat, but so is a great white shark and I’ll bet the shark is friendlier!”

Hydro Viper GI Joe Super7 ReAction+ Wave 7 Review 3

Figure Details

The front and rear views show the Hydro-Viper’s full look. I like the way the sculpted scale texture wraps all the way around the figure, covering the torso, limbs, and even the backs of the legs consistently. Red bands segment the arms and legs at regular intervals, and small yellow accents sit at the waist and on the forehead crest just below the blue fin on the helmet. The back of the figure has a circular port in the upper torso, for attaching the oxygen tank accessory.

Hydro Viper GI Joe Super7 ReAction+ Wave 7 Review 4

Outfitted with his full gear, the Hydro-Viper wears a blue oxygen tank strapped to his back, with two cylindrical tanks and connecting hoses sculpted cleanly into the mold. The orange flippers fit snugly on his feet.

Hydro Viper GI Joe Super7 ReAction+ Wave 7 Review 5

Armed with a gray spear gun, the Hydro-Viper holds the oversized weapon with its pointed projectile tip extending. The sculpted scale-like texture across his torso and arms has a nice tactile quality to it.

Hydro Viper GI Joe Super7 ReAction+ Wave 7 Review 2

A close-up reveals the small plug port inside the Hydro-Viper’s helmet where the black hose from the oxygen tank connects, and it’s worth noting that getting it seated takes a little patience. The sculpted breathing apparatus on his face has a hollowed-out mouthpiece, and that yellow triangular accent on the forehead sits right at the base of the blue helmet’s ridge.
