Mattel Creations SDCC 2026 Exclusives Information and Preorder
SDCC 2026 is right around the corner, and Mattel Creations sent us this press kit so we can pull back the curtain on their convention exclusives, giving us our first look at what’s heading to the show floor and online this July 2026. Four items have been revealed so far, and while each one brings something interesting to the table, I’ll be honest about what’s really occupying my mind: we still haven’t seen what Mattel has planned for Masters of the Universe, and that silence is doing more to fuel my excitement than any official announcement could. SDCC has historically been the stage where Mattel drops some of their most ambitious MOTU exclusives, from wild variant colorways to deep cut character releases that collectors never saw coming, and the fact that we’re this close to the show without so much as a teaser has me equal parts anxious and fired up. But let’s talk about what has been revealed, because there’s genuinely cool stuff here. The WWE Rock N Wrestling Connection 3-Pack is the one that immediately caught my eye, bundling 6.5-inch figures of Cyndi Lauper, Captain Lou Albano, and “Rowdy” Roddy Piper with 25+ points of articulation, TrueFX face sculpts, interchangeable heads, multiple hand sets, and soft goods clothing, all presented in premium 1980s TV-inspired packaging that celebrates the legendary June 16, 1984 Piper’s Pit episode that helped launch WWE into the cultural mainstream. Cyndi Lauper as an action figure is a first, and that alone makes this set notable. It’s priced at $80.00. On the Hot Wheels side, there are three strong entries: a KPop Demon Hunters Porsche 911 GT3 R dressed in Derpy’s blue fur livery with a ZAMAC body and Real Riders wheels for $30.00, a Stranger Things 10th Anniversary ’83 Chevy Van that recreates the iconic van flip scene from season one complete with four mini bicycle-riding character figures and diorama packaging for $40.00, and a Top Gun 40th Anniversary Set featuring die-cast F-14 Tomcat and first-ever MiG-28 jets with movable swing wings, weathering effects, and a display stand all housed in a soft-touch box inspired by Maverick’s helmet for $35.00. All four exclusives ship July 23, 2026 and are available now through Mattel Creations, our affiliate partner and the go-to destination for these convention drops. The puzzle pieces are starting to come together for SDCC 2026, but the biggest reveals may still be ahead of us, and I cannot wait to see what Mattel has waiting in the wings for He-Man and the rest of Eternia.
Where to Buy
You can preorder the figures below starting July 23, 2026 9:00 am PT:

Hot Wheels KPop Demon Hunters Porsche 911 GT3 R (992)
The packaging is a die-cut blister card shaped like Derpy’s full head and body, with vivid blue fur, dark tiger stripes, and those big yellow-orange cat eyes staring straight out.

The Hot Wheels KPop Demon Hunters Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) has a metallic blue body covered in bold stripe deco and a wild monster face printed across the hood and front bumper, with mismatched purple and blue multi-spoke Real Riders wheels giving it a ton of character. The “HUNTRX” and “03” tampos on the door panel are crisp, and the rear wing carries the same blue metallic finish as the body.

From the rear quarter, the taillights have crisp red and white deco inset into the sculpted housing, and the lower rear diffuser is a separate black plastic piece with nicely defined fins.

The front view gives a great look at the monster face deco, with those yellow cat eyes painted over the headlight housings and jagged white fangs wrapping around the lower bumper and splitter.

The rear view highlights the “K-Pop Demon Hunters” tampos flanking the bumper and a centered “03” race number just above the sculpted diffuser vents.

From above, the hood deco really pops, with the sweeping dark stripes and that snake-like tail graphic curving across the roof into the rear window area.

The outer box sleeve features Derpy rendered in full painted artwork, those big yellow-orange cat eyes and bared fangs set against a dark, moody scene with a potted plant tucked in the corner.

The back of the outer box sleeve shows Derpy facing a purple-haired character, Rumi, in a quiet interior scene rendered in the same painterly style as the front artwork.

Hot Wheels Stranger Things 10th Anniversary ’83 Chevy Van
The Hot Wheels Stranger Things 10th Anniversary ’83 Chevy Van is a white die-cast body with bold blue “Hawkins Power and Light” lettering and matching stripe deco running the length of the van, paired with Real Riders wheels that have a nice chunky tread to them. Three mini bicycle figures are included, each with distinct colored clothing and individually sculpted bikes, recreating one of the show’s most iconic moments.

Each of the three mini bicycle figures has its own distinct outfit and bike sculpt, from the green jacket and dark pants on the pair sharing the black motorcycle-styled bike to the red jacket and brown pants on the green bike at the far end.

The metallic silver chassis and front bumper have a nice bare-metal quality to them, and the Chevy bowtie emblem on the grille is cleanly placed between the sculpted horizontal slats.

The “0808-84” fleet number on the lower panel and the Indiana license plate on the front bumper are nice screen-accurate touches that sell this as the Hawkins Power and Light van.

The rear three-quarter view shows the dual rear doors with their sculpted hinges and tinted window inserts, and that Indiana license plate reading “5701 A” is a great little detail.

The rear bumper carries a sculpted step and the license plate reads “5701 A,” and four mini bicycle figures are included with the set, one more than initially counted, with the fourth rider tucked in close on a slightly smaller bike.

The diorama packaging recreates the van flip scene with the ’83 Chevy Van suspended upside down above the four mini bicycle figures, all set against a painted suburban Hawkins backdrop with trees and houses.

The outer box for the Hot Wheels Stranger Things 10th Anniversary ’83 Chevy Van is a clean red design with bold white Stranger Things title lettering dominating the front face.

The back of the box features a red-tinted suburban Hawkins neighborhood illustration behind the descriptive text panel, with house rooftops and trees filling the upper portion.

Hot Wheels Top Gun 40th Anniversary Set
The Hot Wheels Top Gun 40th Anniversary Set features two die-cast jets mounted on a display stand, with a white F-14 Tomcat on top and a dark MiG-28 below, recreating that iconic inverted flight scene.

The laid-out contents show the F-14 Tomcat from above with its wings swept back, covered in fine weathering and “114” markings on the tail fins, alongside the much smaller MiG-28 and the Top Gun-branded display stand with its adjustable support arm.

The close-up on the F-14 Tomcat shows the squadron insignia on the tail fin and the sculpted panel lines running along the fuselage, while the smaller MiG-28 carries its own star and stripe markings on the vertical stabilizer.

The head-on view of the display stand shows the F-14 Tomcat and MiG-28 stacked vertically with their wings and nose cones perfectly aligned, the size difference between the two jets really clear from this angle.

The box packaging uses a navy blue base with a bold red band separating the lower section from the ocean-textured upper lid, where the display stand and jets sit.

The front face of the box is a deep navy blue with the Top Gun wing crest rendered in a metallic finish, and the red lower band calls out the F-14 Tomcat and MiG-28 contents.

The back of the box features a navy blue panel with descriptive text framed by a red-and-white border, and a Polaroid-style photo of the enemy pilot tucked into the corner is a perfect little nod to Goose’s cockpit snapshot from the film.

WWE Rock N Wrestling Connection 3-Pack
The packaging for the WWE Rock N Wrestling Connection 3 Pack is designed to look like a vintage 1980s television set, with a woodgrain printed surface, volume and brightness dial graphics, and a speaker grille along the lower panel. SDCC 2026 is right around the corner and we’re genuinely excited to see what Mattel Creations has lined up, but honestly, what we haven’t seen yet is what has us most curious, especially on the Masters of the Universe front.

The back of the packaging leans fully into the vintage TV concept, with a photo of Captain Lou Albano, Cyndi Lauper, and Roddy Piper from the actual Piper’s Pit segment inset on the screen area alongside a “Rock ‘N Wrestling Connection” text block.

The side panel of the TV-shaped packaging carries illustrated portraits of all three characters stacked vertically, each in their own stylized badge.

The front of the TV-shaped packaging gives a clear view of all three figures through the screen window, with the “Call Captain Lou” sticker and illustrated crest adding to the era-appropriate charm of the box design.

The WWE Rock N Wrestling Connection 3 Pack brings together Cyndi Lauper in her red Hawaiian shirt and green printed skirt, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper in his white ruffled shirt and red plaid kilt with sporran, and Captain Lou Albano in his sleeveless black vest and dark pants. SDCC 2026 is right around the corner and we’re genuinely excited to see what Mattel Creations has lined up, but honestly, what we haven’t seen yet is what has us most curious, especially on the Masters of the Universe front.

Captain Lou Albano’s head sculpt has incredible texture in that curly black hair and goatee, and the individually sculpted chest hair peeking out from beneath the open vest is a great touch.

Piper’s soft goods kilt has a clean red-and-white plaid pattern with a gold-buckled belt and sporran at the waist, and those tall lace-up boots have real presence.

The rear view of all three figures shows off the back print on Captain Lou Albano’s vest, with a caricature graphic and “Captain Lou Albano” lettering, while Cyndi Lauper’s tropical skirt print wraps all the way around with palm trees and greenery.

The full accessory layout for the set includes swap-out hands for each figure, an alternate head for Cyndi Lauper, and the soft goods garments for Piper spread out alongside Captain Lou Albano’s vest.
