Gym Bro Skeletor MOTU Chronicles SDCC 2026 Exclusive Revealed
Well, this is one way to make an entrance into SDCC 2026 season. Gym Bro Skeletor has surfaced as an upcoming MOTU Chronicles exclusive for San Diego Comic-Con, and yes, you read that correctly. The figure was discovered on the Mattel Creations Germany website, giving collectors an early and unintended peek at what Mattel has planned for the convention, and it ties directly into the new Masters of the Universe movie in a way I genuinely did not see coming. According to the listing, Skeletor doesn’t just battle He-Man in the physical world in the film but actually invades Prince Adam’s mind, and during this psychic attack he apparently takes on a “gym bro” persona, which is the kind of deeply weird and specific plot detail that makes me want to see this movie even more. The figure leans fully into the absurdity with a stacked barbell, dumbbells featuring premium metal accents, and even a customized gym towel so Skeletor can, and I quote, “wipe down the machines after he wipes the floor with He-Man.” That’s an all-time great toy description right there. I love how Mattel is using the SDCC exclusives to have fun with the movie’s more playful moments rather than just doing another straight adaptation figure, and it feels like exactly the kind of thing that hits the sweet spot between collectible and conversation piece. If you’re keeping track of everything Mattel has lined up for the show, we’ve been compiling all the details in our Mattel Creations SDCC 2026 exclusives breakdown, which we’ll continue updating as more reveals roll in. Between this and whatever else is still waiting to be announced, SDCC 2026 is shaping up to be a wild one for MOTU collectors, and I can’t wait to see what other surprises Mattel has tucked away. By the power of those abs, indeed.
Official Product Description Teaser
In the new Masters of the Universe movie, Skeletor doesn’t just fight He-Man in the physical world. He brings the battle directly into Prince Adam’s mind! In celebration of the movie and inspired by the fun of San Diego Comic-Con, we’ve recreated the “gym bro” appearance Skeletor takes on during this dastardly mind-meld attack. By the power of those abs, Skeletor can lift the stacked barbell or dumbbells with ease. The weights feature premium metal accents, and we’ve also included his customized gym towel, so he can wipe down the machines after he wipes the floor with He-Man. Nyaah!

Official Images
Gym Bro Skeletor is an absolute riot of a concept. He’s decked out in a purple sleeveless hoodie with matching shorts, tube socks, and lace-up sneakers, all over that classic blue skin, and he comes equipped with a pair of dumbbells featuring sculpted weight plates with metal-finish center caps.

The window box packaging leans hard into ’80s fitness culture, with radiating pink, orange, and yellow sunburst lines framing the card art of Skeletor mid-deadlift behind the display window. Accessories including a barbell with stacked plates, a small gym towel, and a pair of sneakers are packed alongside the figure inside the tray.

The full packaging spread shows all three sides of the box, with the side panels carrying a continuation of the sunburst card art and an illustration of Skeletor gripping a loaded barbell. As an SDCC 2026 exclusive, this is the kind of novelty concept that Comic-Con reveals are made for.

The box front features illustrated card art of Skeletor curling a loaded barbell in a purple hoodie, framed by radiating pink, blue, and orange sunburst lines that fill the entire face of the packaging. This SDCC 2026 exclusive reveal for the MOTU Chronicles line commits fully to the bit with retro ’80s fitness branding and a stylized neon-accented treatment of the character’s name beneath the artwork.

Close Ups
We were able to track down a hi-res image of Gym Bro Skeletor so here are some close ups of the figure details!

Gym Bro Skeletor sports a purple hoodie with drawstrings and a small skull emblem on the chest, layered over his signature blue skin. The skull face sculpt has a great menacing grin, with red eyes peering out from under the hood, and the dumbbells he’s carrying have nicely detailed individual weight plates.

The purple athletic shorts have a small square patch detail and a white drawstring at the waist, matching the hoodie’s casual gym-wear aesthetic. His feet feature sculpted toes with individual claws, and a squat rack with a loaded barbell sits behind him.

The accessory tray includes a pair of high-top sneakers with sculpted laces, a wristband featuring an embroidered ram skull logo, and a barbell with stacked weight plates on each end. Nice touch giving him actual footwear options alongside the barefoot look.
