Bizarro (Tales of the Bizarro World)

Since his hilarious debut in the 1950s, Bizarro has been a character of equal parts humor and confusion. The imperfect duplicate of Superman, the chalk faced hero lives on the cube-shaped world of Bizarro where everything is the opposite of life on Earth. Beauty is hated, ugliness is revered, and it is a crime to make anything perfect. Written by the creator of Superman, Jerry Siegel, SUPERMAN: TALES OF BIZARRO WORLD includes 15 nonsensical tales of Bizarro’s twisted heroics and insane interactions with Bizarro-Lois Lane, Bizarro-Jimmy Olsen, Bizarro-Supergirl, Bizarro-Lex Luthor, and Bizarro-Krypto the Superdog.

We are thinking the Tales of the Bizarro World figure would very similar to his likeness in the comic.

Aquaman (Gold Chase)

Aquaman was one of the Toy Sorceress’ favorite Super Powers figures as a kid. She never got many toys as a child, but remembers mom taking her to Toys R Us as a child to pick out her Hanukkah gift and she immediately went over to the aisle where the Super Powers figures were hanging. She picked out Aquaman and he was the first action figure she remembers getting as a kid! She used to carry Aquaman with her everywhere and she remembers taking him to school one day, and he had been holding his trident in his hands all day, but she suddenly noticed that the trident was missing! The horror, she had lost his accessory and panic suddenly came over her. When she looked across the room, she saw a school mate using her Aquaman’s trident as a freakin tooth pick!! She immediately ran across the room and ripped it out of that kids hands and washed it! She still has her childhood Aquaman and he is the pride of her Super Powers Collection.

Here are some pics of Aquaman but this gold chase version will be like the Super Man that was recency released.

Here is an example of the gold Super Man chase variant. This one was released for the 30th Anniversary of the original Kenner line. It was a gold outfitted repaint version of the DC Classics first release of Superman. This is an easy repaint of the 2 previous versions of Superman already released for the McFarlane Super Powers line.

Bat Man (Black and Gray)

Given we just got a glimpse of a black and gray Batman (Dark Knight Returns) from London Comic Con 2024, this will likely be a repaint from an earlier wave. You can see this is a very classic looking version of the Batman The Dark Knight Returns, complete with the large black bat on his chest, grey and black outfit and black cape!

The black and gray repaint might be coming from the vintage appearance (shown below) of Bat Man, which was released in an earlier wave.

Riddler

The  Prince of puzzlers Riddler is also rumored to be coming in this wave! Dressed in his signature green jump suit, filled with question marks, complete with his purple mask and purple belt! Here is the Riddler from the Super Amigos line as he could look like this.

Super Man (Classic)

Given that Superman has had many repaints in the line already, we could be getting a Superman from his appearance from the classic comic!

Wonder Woman (Gold Chase)

The current release of Wonder Woman is a more modern take on the figure akin to the modern movie release. Like Super Man, it will be interesting to see how Wonder Woman turns out.

Starman, Green Lantern, and Hourman (Justice Society of America) 3-Pack

The Justice Society of America (JSA) is a superhero team appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. It was conceived by editor Sheldon Mayer and writer Gardner Fox during the Golden Age of Comic Books. It first appeared in All Star Comics #3 (Winter 1940–1941), making it the first team of superheroes in comic books. Its original members were Doctor Fate, Hourman, the Spectre, Sandman, Atom, the Flash, Green Lantern and Hawkman.

Starman

Starman (Theodore Henry “Ted” Knight) is a fictional superhero appearing in media published by DC Comics, primarily as a member of the Justice Society of America. Created by writer Gardner Fox and artist Jack Burnley, he first appeared in Adventure Comics #61 (April 1941).

Here is a version of Starman which could look really close to the MacFarlane version!

Hourman

Hourman or Hour-Man is the name of three different fictional superheroes appearing in comics published by DC Comics. The original Hourman was created by writer Ken Fitch and artist Bernard Baily in Adventure Comics #48 (March 1940), during the Golden Age of Comic Books. The first Hourman is chemist Rex Tyler, who creates a new synthesis, “Miraclo”, which grants him super-strength and endurance, but only for one hour.

Green Lantern

Alan was a founding member of the Justice Society and was instrumental in many wartime battles. After the war, as a broadcast executive in the late forties, Alan Scott had a flirtatious relationship with the costumed villainess the Harlequin (who unbeknownst to Alan, was secretly his secretary, Molly Mayne). Molly even admitted that her career as a “criminal” was just a ruse to get close to Green Lantern. The Harlequin eventually turned over a new leaf, becoming an undercover agent for the FBI. She left Alan’s life without confessing her true identity or her real feelings.
