G.I. Joe ReAction+ Figures – Snake Eyes (Skybound Comic Box Series, Issue #2)
The card art here is fantastic, pulling directly from the Skybound comic’s arctic setting with a blizzard scene showing hooded figures trudging through snow as an explosion lights up the sky behind them. I like how the deep greens and icy blues of the illustration contrast with the bright yellow blister tray housing the figure and its accessories.

Snake Eyes is outfitted in a blue arctic parka with white snow goggles and a fur-lined hood, paired with olive drab pants and brown boots. Packed alongside him in the tray are a pair of white binoculars and what looks like a detailed submachine gun, both molded in a matching off-white plastic.

The whole presentation here leans into that vintage mail-order ad aesthetic, complete with a tear-out coupon section at the bottom and retro comic book typography. You can see how the included Skybound comic, “Panic at the North Pole,” features its own dramatic cover art with the Joe team geared up in heavy winter gear, and it’s a nice bonus that the full 24-page issue comes packed right in with the figure.

Here’s a closer look at the comic itself, and the Trimpe/Abel artwork really pops with those heavy ink lines and classic Marvel-era color palettes. The frozen arctic landscape behind the squad has a great sense of depth, with the burning research station and darkened sky adding urgency to the whole composition.

The packaging design does a great job tying everything together, with the black card backing framing both the comic and the figure in a way that feels like a collector’s display piece straight out of the box. I noticed that the blister tray’s bright yellow plastic creates a nice visual pop against Snake Eyes’ blue parka and the cooler tones of the comic art behind it.

The card back is loaded with personality, featuring a clippable file card for Snake Eyes with his commando designation, classified file name, and a fun quote about his sensory deprivation training habits. It’s cool to see the “Panic at the North Pole” story synopsis laid out alongside the Skybound comic cover reproduction, giving you a full rundown of the arctic mission storyline that inspired this particular release.

Laid out alongside the figure, the accessories include a brown leather-look satchel with a sculpted flap closure, a silver submachine gun with surprisingly crisp detailing for this scale, and a necklace strung with small white animal skulls. Something I appreciate here is how the brown tones of the satchel, gloves, boots, and belt pouch all tie together as a cohesive color story against that saturated blue parka.
