It’s Packaging time again! Here’s a special look at the evilest packaging and artwork we did for Dragon Blaster Skeletor, the Evil Leader & his dreadful dragon with the “paralyzing” spray!
Skeletor commands his dragon to spray his enemies with its paralyzing venom.

One aspect that is confirmed with this card art reveal is that the dragon spraying action feature that was present on the vintage figure is retained! You can see that it show that you remove the Dragon head and add water to activate his venomous dragon spray!!

Dragon Blaster Skeletor Card Art
Once again, Roy and team knocked it out of the park as we see Dragon Blaster Skeletor spraying his venomous spray toward Thunder Punch He-Man who is attacking riding in the Bashasaurus! And by Dragon Blaster Skeletor’s side is Two Bad making his 3 card art appearance! You will also notice a couple of playful dinosaurs in the background! Is this a hint that we are develaing into Preternia and the Powers of Grayskull line soon? Also, one of the dinos have his ribs exposed, could that be a tease for Battle Bones?

Dragon Blaster Skeletor Official Images
he official images for Dragon Blaster Skeletor are amazing and I can’t wait to get this one in hand! His super bright pink armor and bright red dragon really make him pop! It also looks like he comes with a real metal chain and of course his green lock! There seems to be a small hole in the mouth of the dragon, akin to a spray hole, rather than a hole for a spray blast effect. Could it be that this dragon actually squirts water?

Dragon Blaster Skeletor makes sense to be a deluxe figure. The vintage Dragon Blaster Skeletor action figure was released back in 1985 as a part of wave 4. Leader of the Evil Warriors, Skelly included his dreadful dragon with the paralyzing spray perched on his shoulder!

Dragon Blaster Skeletor was also released for the MOTU Classics Line in 2012, and was an incredibly cool and popular figure in the line! You can see how a highly articulated version of this character would look.
According to Dragon Blaster Skeletor Wiki | Fandom
As the ruler of Eternia® following Randor’s banishment, Skeletor® created a new magical armor infused with an Eternian Dragon, giving him the power to paralyze his enemies at first glance. His rule was cut short, however, when Skeletor’s former master Hordak® returned from Despondos™ with the help of Evil-Lyn®. Hordak® not only overthrew Skeletor®, but drove the Snake Men™ into hibernation. Forced into a war on multiple fronts, Skeletor® continued to lead his Evil Warriors into battle, often having to fight side-by-side with his former enemies – the now renegade Masters of the Universe®. Perched on his master’s armor, the Evil Dragon “pet” of Skeletor® stops his enemies cold with his paralyzing jet spray of venom

Two-Bad Card Art Tease
This is the 3rd time that Two-Bad has been teased on MOTU Origins card art! Two-Bad is a two-headed Evil Warrior who is basically two different beings sharing the same body. In some ways he is like siamese twins, although both halves of his body are very different-looking creatures who appear to be from entirely different species. His right half is a blue creature, while his left half is a purple, scaly creature with an eyebrow-like yellow band on his forehead. His two heads have the habit of continuously arguing with one another.
Two-Bad is introduced into the Masters of the Universe toy line in 1985. Originally marketed as the “double-headed evil strategist” it is implied he is a master of strategy due to being two warriors in one, but his main trait in all story media is that his two heads have a habit of endlessly arguing with each other, meaning he has always generally been used for comic relief.

Two-Bad first appeared on the Battlefield Warriors box art as he looks like he is in persuit of He-Man.

He the appeared on the back of the recently released Wave 12 Mini Comic Roboto card art!

Bashasaurus Card Art Tease
If you blinked you might have missed the Bashasaurus tease lurking in the background of the recently released Wave 12 Mini Comic Roboto card art as well! This was the first time this vehicle has been teased in the line, and now on the Dragon Blaster Skeletor art work, Bashasaurus is front and center!

The box art features Battle Armor He-Man in the driver’s seat and the it shows you that you can press a button and the ball swing forward and we hope that action figure is retained because what would be the point if they left out that? It would be like leaving the rip stick feature of of the Road Ripper (aka Ground Ripper)…oh wait…they did that lol.

The Bashasaurus is a vehicle from the Masters of the Universe toyline and related franchise. It is adorned with a spiked head and has a huge mace that can “bash” obstacles and enemy vehicles.

Battle Bones Card Art Tease
It looks there is a very subtle hint for Battle bones on Dragon Blaster Skeletor’s card art too! There is a creature with his ribs exposed in the upper right of the card and, looking at the vintage card art, this looks a heck of a lot like Battle Bones! Battle Bones was first seen in the mini comic “Skeletor’s Dragon, in 1984. At first, Skeletor is commanding Battle Bones to be his slave and use it for evil. But by the end of the comic, Battle Bones is serving He-Man and the heroic warriors! Look at the smile on their faces!

Battle Bones came out in 1985 and was meant to be a carrying case for your MOTU figures. It could hold 12 of your favorite characters and the mouth opened up to hold all of the accessories! According to the Battle Ram Blog, Battle Bones was designed by Ed Watts, who also designed the Dragon Walker. His concept (shown below) is very close to what was actually produced by Mattel, but the body was elongated, and a handle was added on the back. Also, the teeth, eyes and horns were modified as well.

Below is an image of the actual vintage Battle Bones package that Mattel produced. It included some beautiful artwork illustrating how the unique carrying case actually worked.

Battle Bones has only been featured once before on the MOTU Origins card back art thus far. You can see him prominently in the swamp background on this Mosquitor card back artwork.
