In brightest day, in blackest night… McFarlane Toys keeps delivering DC Multiverse Collector Edition figures that have us reaching for our wallets! Three new preorders just went live over at BigBadToyStore, and boy are we thrilled with this lineup. We’re getting Star Sapphire, Val-Zod Superman, and Mary Shazam, all priced at $34.99 each with a November 2026 ship date. So let’s take a look at these new DC Multiverse Collector Edition preorders! First up is Carol Ferris as Star Sapphire from the Green Lantern comics, and I can’t be more excited about this one. The violet light of love gets a really cool 7-inch scale figure with 22 points of articulation, a pair of alternate hands, 2 energy constructs, a display base, and an art card. I always loved Carol’s arc from Hal Jordan’s love interest to one of the most powerful entities in the emotional spectrum, and seeing her get the Collector Edition treatment feels so right. How amazing is that? Next we have Val-Zod, the Superman of Earth 2, and this is a super exciting deep cut character for McFarlane to tackle. Val-Zod has such a compelling story as a Kryptonian refugee who took up the mantle of Superman on an alternate Earth, and this figure comes with interchangeable hands, a display base, and a collectible art card. For fans of the Earth 2 series this is going to be a really cool addition to the shelf. And rounding out this trio is Mary Shazam from the Shazam! comics, featuring Mary Bromfield as one of the champions of the Shazam family. This one comes loaded with accessories including 3 pairs of interchangeable hands, 4 lightning effects, a display base, and an art card with character biography. I just love that McFarlane is continuing to build out the Shazam family in the Collector Edition line, and all those lightning effects are going to make for some stunning display options. All three figures are available for preorder now at BigBadToyStore, Entertainment Earth, Amazon and Best Buy for $34.99 each with a November 2026 release window. Which one are you preordering first?

You can preorder the figures at the following retailers below

Earth 2 Superman (Val-Zod)

The packaging uses a sleek black frame with a blue comic-page inspired interior, and a collectible art card is tucked alongside Val-Zod inside the window. It’s a clean presentation that lets that striking blue and white suit do the talking through the clear plastic.

The card art on the back panel is gorgeous, depicting Val-Zod perched on rocky debris with a burning Earth cracking apart behind him, all rendered in deep blues and fiery oranges. I like how the composition leans into that apocalyptic Earth 2 tone, with chunks of stone and wreckage swirling around him against the cosmic destruction.

Clad in that rich blue suit, Val-Zod’s white cape billows out with real fabric weight and movement, and the white boots and silver belt break up the blue beautifully. The chest emblem has a clean white diamond framing a stylized red “S” that feels distinct from the classic Kal-El design, with a matching red gem at the belt’s center tying the whole color story together.

You can see how the sculpt on Val-Zod’s face carries a calm, confident expression, with sharp brow definition and cleanly sculpted short hair that keeps things understated. His silver wrist cuffs catch your attention too, matching the belt hardware and adding just enough metallic contrast against the blue suit and warm skin tones.

Here’s a closer look at the torso sculpting on Val-Zod, where you can really appreciate the layered contour work across the chest and abdomen sections, with each panel cleanly separated by recessed seam lines that suggest armored plating beneath the suit. The cape drapes with a soft, almost satin-like finish in white that contrasts nicely against the glossy sheen of the blue bodysuit.

Here’s everything Val-Zod comes with laid out, and it’s a straightforward but solid spread: a pair of open, relaxed alternate hands, the collectible art card featuring that gorgeous split composition of him battling alongside other heroes, and a black display base with the DC emblem stamped into it. I think it’s cool that the alternate hands have a natural, slightly cupped shape to them, which should give you some nice variety beyond the default fists he’s wearing in the box.

One thing I noticed right away is how the blue suit transitions into those white boots through a jagged, flame-like sculpted edge that gives the lower legs a really distinctive silhouette. The cape hangs with a nice straight drape from this view, with the silver trim along the collar sitting flush against the shoulders and framing that broad neckline.

From the back, Val-Zod’s white cape dominates the view with that satin fabric draping all the way down past his calves, and you get a good sense of how it’s stitched cleanly at the shoulder seam where it connects to the suit. The white boots have a subtle sculpted texture with defined sole ridges at the bottom, and the black display base peeks out just enough to show that embossed emblem holding everything steady.

Star Sapphire Green Lantern

Star Sapphire’s packaging features a blue comic-collage interior backdrop with Green Lantern cover art layered behind the figure, and you can spot her two translucent purple energy constructs and alternate fists nestled alongside her in the tray. I like how the metallic purple of her costume really pops against that blue backdrop, with the collectible art card tucked in behind her completing the presentation.

The card art on Star Sapphire’s packaging is a stunner, with Carol Ferris surrounded by massive violet crystal formations and crackling pink energy radiating from her star sapphire gem in a brilliant white burst. Her flowing black hair whips through the composition alongside swirling magenta energy tendrils, and the deep purple cosmic backdrop with those looming crystalline shapes gives the whole piece a beautifully otherworldly feel.

Star Sapphire’s two translucent pink energy constructs are really something, with a sculpted pom-pom texture that bursts outward in chaotic, crystalline clusters and catches light with a gorgeous candy-like translucency. I’m really digging how the metallic purple and pink color blocking on her costume works with those constructs, creating a fully unified violet spectrum look from head to toe.

You can see how the sculpt on Star Sapphire’s face really nails Carol Ferris, with her purple domino mask framing sharp, dark-lined eyes and that signature pink starburst emblem right at her forehead. The white pointed collar flanking her neck adds a great structural element against her flowing black hair, and those heeled boots carry the same glossy metallic purple finish as the rest of her costume, right down to the sculpted ankle straps.

Here’s a closer look at the torso detailing on Star Sapphire, where that skin-toned cutout running from the neckline down through the midsection creates a bold lightning bolt–shaped negative space framed by the metallic purple bodysuit. The pink starburst gem at her waist sits right at the convergence point of those jagged purple edges, and her matching purple gauntlets have a nicely sculpted wrap texture that distinguishes them from the smoother finish on her arms.

Something I appreciate here is how the thigh-high boots have a sculpted seam running vertically along the front, with the upper edges cutting into that skin-toned gap at the thighs in a sharp, angular pattern that mirrors the torso cutouts. The knee articulation breaks are well-integrated into the boot design, with the joint caps sharing that same glossy metallic purple finish so they blend in rather than interrupt the silhouette.

From the back, Star Sapphire’s flowing black hair drapes across her shoulders and upper back with individually sculpted strands that have a nice natural wave to them, partially obscuring the white collar points that jut out on either side. The sculpt carries subtle contouring across the back of the bodysuit, with a recessed horizontal seam at the waistline and cleanly defined separation where the skin-toned sections meet the metallic purple at the upper thighs.

Here’s everything Star Sapphire comes with spread out, and it’s a nicely focused accessory set: two translucent pink energy constructs, a pair of alternate fists, the collectible art card featuring that stunning crystal-laden Carol Ferris illustration, and the black DC display base. I noticed that the alternate fists are sculpted in matching metallic purple with a tighter curl than her default hands, which should pair perfectly with those energy constructs for more aggressive posing options.

Mary Shazam!

Mary Shazam’s packaging frames her against a blue comic-collage interior, with four yellow lightning effects flanking her on both sides and multiple pairs of interchangeable hands nestled in the tray alongside a collectible art card. I like how the red and gold of her costume immediately commands attention through the window, with those translucent yellow lightning bolts adding a crackling energy to the whole presentation.

The card art on Mary Shazam’s packaging is fantastic, depicting her channeling golden lightning from both hands with crackling bolts arcing across a dark, smoky backdrop that lets all that warm energy glow. Her white cape sweeps dramatically behind her with a gold Greek key trim along the hem, and those tall gold boots paired with the deep red costume and bold yellow lightning bolt chest emblem make for a striking, classic superhero composition.

Mary Shazam’s white cape is a real fabric piece with a gorgeous gold-trimmed hem, and the way it billows and wraps around her here really sells the sense of flight. Her gold wrist cuffs and matching yellow boots have a warm, saturated finish that pairs beautifully with the bold red of her skirt and long-sleeved top.

It’s cool to see all four lightning effects attached at once, with those translucent yellow bolts erupting from her wrists and ankles in jagged, forking patterns that fill the space around her with chaotic energy. The gold chevron at her belt and the matching gold trim along the cape’s edge tie together nicely with the yellow of the boots and lightning bolt emblem, giving the whole figure a cohesive warm metallic thread running through the red and white.

Here’s a closer look at Mary Shazam’s face sculpt, and she’s got a warm, confident smile with subtle dimples and well-defined dark brows that frame her green eyes nicely. Her dark brown hair falls in thick, wavy curls past her shoulders, with individual strands sculpted to drape naturally over the white and gold-trimmed cape behind her.

Sporting that classic red and white costume, Mary Shazam’s skirt has a pleated sculpt with natural folds and creases that give it a flowing, fabric-like quality distinct from the smoother finish on her sleeves and torso. The yellow boots have a clean, flat matte finish with sculpted cuff tops that sit just below the knee, and those gold bracers feature a layered, segmented construction that wraps around her forearms with real dimension.

From the back, Mary Shazam’s cape cascades in a full, uninterrupted sweep of white fabric with that gold trim running continuously along every edge, creating a clean border that really pops against the soft matte white. Her dark brown curls rest naturally across the top of the cape where it gathers at the neckline, and you can just catch a glimpse of the red sleeves and gold bracers peeking out at the sides.

Here’s everything Mary Shazam comes with laid out, and it’s a generous spread: three pairs of interchangeable hands offering fists, open-palm, and relaxed gestures, four translucent yellow lightning effects in varying lengths and fork patterns, the collectible art card, and the black DC display base. I like how the hand options all share a consistent warm skin tone with cleanly sculpted fingernails and natural knuckle definition, giving you solid variety across six total swappable pieces.
