Hot Toys is celebrating the 40th anniversary of Aliens with a new Corporal Hicks Sixth Scale Collectible Figure, and my Michael Meter is off the charts! I loved Michael Biehn as Kyle Reese in The Terminator when I was a kid, so seeing him return in Aliens as another equally badass character was pretty cool. While I’m not quite as excited as I was for the Alien Queen and Ellen Ripley with Power Loader, this is another release I’m looking forward to. Hot Toys has recreated Hicks’ personalized Colonial Marine armor, complete with his signature weapons and a newly developed Michael Biehn head sculpt. Preorders are available through BigBadToyStore, with Sideshow also featured in our retailer coverage.

The new Corporal Hicks figure joins Hot Toys’ 40th anniversary Aliens releases. Based on Michael Biehn’s appearance in the 1986 film, the figure includes his Colonial Marine armor, M41A Pulse Rifle, shotgun, and a diorama display base with Xenomorph remains.

Standing approximately 12 inches tall, Hicks features 30 points of articulation and a green camouflage Battle Dress Uniform beneath his M3 Pattern Personal Armor. The armor includes personalized markings, weathered paint applications, and an M10 Pattern Ballistic Helmet. Hot Toys has also used silicone arms to conceal the elbow joints, with Hicks’ USCM service tattoo printed on his left bicep.

Removing the helmet reveals the newly developed Michael Biehn head sculpt, complete with short brown hair and independently adjustable rolling eyeballs. The figure wears layered armor over the camouflage uniform, with equipment straps and utility pouches across the torso. Hicks carries his M41A Pulse Rifle.

One of my favorite details about the Colonial Marines in Aliens is something I learned from a documentary about the film. Director James Cameron allowed the actors to personalize their armor with slogans, illustrations, and other markings, taking inspiration from American soldiers during the Vietnam War. Michael Biehn’s experience was a little different. Biehn joined the production after James Remar, who was originally cast as Hicks, had already begun filming. Remar had personalized the character’s armor with a red heart and padlock on the chest. Biehn inherited that armor and reportedly wasn’t particularly fond of the heart, joking that it looked like a target painted over his chest. Hot Toys has reproduced the heart and padlock on Hicks’ chest armor. The M41A Pulse Rifle features a sliding forend, retractable stock, removable magazine, and sling. The shoulder-mounted TNR lamp includes USB-powered LED illumination.

Of course, Hicks wouldn’t be complete without his shotgun. Hot Toys includes the pump-action weapon and a scabbard. The shotgun can be displayed alongside the Pulse Rifle, and the interchangeable gun-holding hands accommodate either weapon. Hicks also wears a black wristwatch.

The red heart and padlock on Hicks’ chest armor are prominent here, along with the personalized markings across his shoulder plates. The M10 Pattern Ballistic Helmet features camouflage paint applications and a chin strap. Hot Toys has also included a combat knife, M40 HEDP grenades, and an ME3 Hand Welder among the accessories.

The M41A Pulse Rifle features a retractable stock and sliding forend. Hicks’ 30 points of articulation accommodate two-handed firing poses, while the silicone arms conceal the elbow joints. The weapon includes a sling and removable magazine.

Hot Toys has developed a new Michael Biehn head sculpt with independently adjustable rolling eyeballs and short brown hair. The portrait features Biehn’s facial structure and expression from Aliens. The M10 helmet is removable, and the shoulder armor includes Hicks’ name among its personalized markings.

The included display base features a metal-grating floor with Xenomorph remains scattered across the surface. The design draws from the industrial environments of Hadley’s Hope.

Hicks can also be displayed wearing his helmet while holding the shotgun, with the Pulse Rifle carried using its sling. The shotgun scabbard provides another storage option. His combat boots and camouflage-painted shin guards feature weathered paint applications. The display base includes a Corporal Hicks nameplate.

Here we get a closer look at the independently adjustable rolling eyeballs. Hot Toys has included two examples of the head sculpt with the eyes positioned differently. The facial sculpt remains the same, with the movable eyes allowing Hicks’ gaze to be adjusted.

The next image highlights the silicone arms, which conceal the elbow joints beneath the skin-like material. Hicks’ USCM service tattoo is printed on his left bicep. The shoulder armor, equipment straps, and Pulse Rifle sling sit over the green camouflage uniform.

This shot gives us a better view of the armor details, including the red heart and padlock on the chest, the simulated bullet hole with the words “BORN AGAIN” on the left shoulder, and additional markings such as “HICKS” and “NON! TOXIC.” The camouflage-painted shin guards and helmet feature weathered paint applications.

Hot Toys has included eight interchangeable hands consisting of fists, relaxed hands, gun-holding hands, and knife-holding hands. The accessories include the M41A Pulse Rifle, pump-action shotgun, combat knife, M40 HEDP grenades, TNR shoulder lamp, ME3 Hand Welder, shotgun scabbard, wristwatch, and removable helmet. The figure also includes a metal-grating diorama base with Xenomorph remains.
