Huge thanks to @formotoys for sharing these images from Lucca Comics & Games, and boy are we thrilled to see what they brought to the show! Formo Toys has been on an absolute roll with their original action figure lines, and this event gave us a sneak peek at not one but two new waves plus a stunning new addition to their Frazetta line. We’re talking Warriors of the Galaxy wave 4, Legends of Dragonore wave 4, and a brand new Savage World of Frazetta. So let’s take a look at everything Formo Toys debuted at Lucca Comics & Games! Warriors of the Galaxy wave 4 is shaping up to be super exciting, with three new characters revealed: Dino Man, Skull Man, and Centurn. I love how Formo Toys keeps leaning into that classic vintage sci-fi action figure aesthetic with this line, and these new additions look like they fit right in with the waves we’ve already seen. Dino Man especially caught my eye, and honestly Skull Man is giving me all kinds of cool villain energy. Centurn rounds out the wave and I can’t wait to see more detailed shots of all three. On the fantasy side, Legends of Dragonore wave 4 was also on display! This line has been building an amazing roster of characters and the new wave looks like it continues that momentum. We’ll definitely be keeping our eyes peeled for more details as they surface. And then there’s the Savage World of Frazetta line getting a Warrior with Ball and Chain and a Flesh Eater. If you’re a fan of Frank Frazetta’s iconic fantasy artwork, these figures are really cool translations of that raw, primal energy into action figure form. The barbarian aesthetic is so much fun in this scale and style. It sounds like Formo Toys will be sharing even more details on an upcoming episode of their Formo Cast, so stay tuned for that. Will we see preorder dates soon? Only time will tell, but I can’t be more excited about what’s coming from this team!
Below we have a beautiful image of the entire latest waves of the Legends of Dragonore assembled alongside the Warriors of the Galaxy crew, and the sheer variety on display is impressive. You can see how the fantasy and sci-fi aesthetics blend together surprisingly well, with everything from caped warriors and translucent green creatures to a purple-robed witch figure and a winged warrior in striped regalia filling out the stone diorama.
Pictured below are the new Warriors of the Galaxy wave 4 lineup, and what a trio this is. Dino Man, Skull Man, and Centurn are all loaded with accessories and distinct color palettes that make each one instantly recognizable next to the others. The awesome thing about this Wave is that it includes Skull Man, which for any vintage Remco collector, you know what a hard and rare figure the original vintage Remco Skullman is to get in the Warrior Beasts line. This begs the question, is Formo Toys now dipping it’s toes into the original Warrior Beast characters as well?
Below we get a look at three of the The Savage World of Frazetta. They couldn’t be more different from one another. Scareglow-esque in his purple cape and ornate gold pauldrons on the left, a voodoo-inspired woman in the center with a beaded blue halter and claw-tooth belt carrying shrunken heads on cords, and a translucent green fish creature on the right wearing bold orange-and-white striped pants tucked into brown boots.
Finally was have some new Legends of Dragonore Wave 4 figures up close. The Warrior with Ball and Chain is an absolute bruiser, wrapped in a heavy fur cape with textured brown fur trim that drapes over both shoulders and a silver horned Viking helmet with a pointed nose guard. Beside him, the Flesh Eater sports olive-green skin and a wild grin, with a sculpted fur loincloth cinched by a thick brown leather belt and a pair of red translucent weapons that contrast sharply against his muted tones.
