MOTU Origins SDCC 2025 Booth Images

We have more for you from our live Preview Night at San Diego Comic Con 2025, this time with the MOTU Origins display! Now we get to see another vintage figure release with Dragstor, a new character with Sting-Or and a new version of the Castle Grayskull playset that is actually already up on Amazon for Preorder! A repaint of the first Origins Castle Grayskull, this new Masters of the Universe Vintage Castle Grayskull Playset inspired by the work of Mark Taylor comes with a display mat & Space suit figure! Sting-Or

A new character that we saw on the Modulok cardback art is Sting-Or! This is based on concept art by Axel Gimenez and he looks really cool! He has a neat scorpion design with a huge pincher tail!

Dragstor

Next up was Dragstor! Yes another vintage figure is coming to the MOTU Origins Line and he looks amazing! In a stunning homage to his vintage counter part, he comes with his rid cord to make his action feature work! It looks like he has his wheel in his chest as well!

Masters of the Universe Vintage Castle Grayskull Playset

On display was a new version of the Masters of the Universe Vintage Castle Grayskull Playset, but inspired by the Mark Taylor prototype but retains classic features. A Stygian Moat mat from the Taylor prototype is included and it even comes with the Space Suit figure. This playset is currently up on Amazon for Preorder!

Product Description: This playset of Castle Grayskull, Fortress of Mystery and Power for He-Man and his allies, is inspired by Mark Taylor’s prototype but retains classic features. The gray exterior has mossy green accents. A Stygian Moat mat from the Taylor prototype is included to surround Castle Grayskull and provide a visual foundation for the playset. A special edition Space Suit figure is included, a nod to the sticker from the vintage playset. The Jawbridge opens and closes, an Elevator connects warriors to the upper level, a Laser Blaster repels would-be invaders and a Trap Door provides a quick path to the Prisoner Cell. Other features and accessories include 2 soft goods Banners, a Flag, a Ladder, 4 Weapons and 2 Weapon Racks and a Combat Practice Stand. A sheet of 6 Stickers is provided to add colorful touches. Designed at 5.5-inch scale, it accommodates most MOTU Origins figures. The vertical clamshell-style design opens up for a 2-sided play area and folds back up for easy carrying and storage. Makes a great setting for any Origins collection for fans 6 years and older.
