Cheetara Mondo ThunderCats Sixth Scale Preorder

I love when Mondo plays it cool and lets a single image do all the talking, and that is exactly what happened at New York Comic Con 2025 when this Cheetara ThunderCats Sixth Scale figure teaser quietly appeared in the Mondo booth, instantly stopping collectors in their tracks and sending speculation into overdrive. Even without a full reveal, it is immediately clear this is part of Mondo’s ongoing ThunderCats Sixth Scale lineup, and seeing Cheetara finally teased feels like a major moment for fans who have been waiting to see how she would be handled alongside Lion-O, and the rest of the team. The lighting, pose, and silhouette are clearly designed to set a mood rather than give everything away, which only adds to the anticipation and makes it feel like Mondo is confident enough to let the design speak for itself. From what has been shared, this was officially shown at NYCC 2025 and is being positioned as a teaser, strongly suggesting that a preorder announcement is not far off, which lines up with how Mondo has rolled out previous Sixth Scale ThunderCats releases. Cheetara’s product page is now available on Mondo’s website!

January 9, 2026 Update: Official Images and Preorder Information

Cheetara goes up for preorder on Tuesday, January 13 at 11 AM CT on Mondo’s website! The figure is laid out with a full spread of accessories, and I love how much flexibility is baked right in with multiple portrait sculpts showing different expressions, including battle focused eyes, calm looks, and alternate hair pieces that swap between flowing motion and a more neutral style. She comes armed with long and short staff options pulled straight from the Treasure of Thundera, along with a fan of translucent lightning effects that plug in for speed based poses, plus a wide range of swappable hands to really sell movement. The deluxe Limited Edition piles it on even more, tossing in bonus portraits, Ro-Bear-Bill with articulated limbs and textured fur, and a small Baby Lion-O that instantly adds story potential, and honestly I can already picture her running circles around Mumm-Ra and his evil army on the shelf while I keep swapping parts to see what works best.

The figure is shown mid stride with the staff angled low, and I like how the pose sells forward motion without needing effects, especially with the open left hand ready to grab or pivot. The portrait here leans serious with sharp eye paint and subtle striping across the face, and the shorter hair sculpt frames the head tightly so the expression really comes through. The suit panels show layered textures with clean separation between the red and orange sections, and the spotted pattern on the arms is crisp and evenly applied, which I keep zooming in on because it reads clean even under close up lighting.

Ro-Bear Bill comes across as a compact companion piece with a rounded mechanical body, textured brown fur on the arms and legs, and visible joint cuts that let him shuffle, turn, and raise his hands as if he is reacting to Cheetara’s movement. I like how the head sculpt mixes soft curves with hard panel lines, and the painted details on the face and torso keep him from feeling like a static pack in extra. Baby Lion-O adds a completely different note with a small sleeping sculpt, closed eyes, and tiny hands that naturally tuck against her arm, and seeing him cradled really sells the scale contrast! How freakin cute!

She is captured in full sprint with the running energy attachments plugged into her forearms and calves, and I love how the translucent lightning pieces stack backward to visually stretch the motion as she drives forward. The effects hug the limbs cleanly and taper into sharp angles, which makes the pose read fast even when the figure is standing still on the shelf. Up close, the focused portrait pairs well with the open hands, and I keep thinking how easy it is to swap these effects in and out depending on how aggressive I want the run to feel.

January 7, 2026 Update: Cheetara Tease

If this teaser is any indication, Cheetara is about to be a big addition to the line, and I will absolutely be watching closely for that preorder to go live so we can dig into all the official details as soon as they are shared. I always appreciate when companies respect the slow burn and let collectors sit with an image like this for a bit, breaking it down and imagining what accessories, portraits, and display options might be coming once the full reveal drops.

I’m really drawn to how the figure is presented with the long translucent staff planted to the ground, complete with a flared energy effect at the base that gives the pose a sense of motion. The figure features layered armor pieces over the shoulders and forearms, a sculpted chest emblem, and painted cheetah spot detailing carried across the arms and face while she steadies herself mid stride. Off to the side, Ro-Bear Bill is scaled as a compact companion with textured fur sculpting, segmented mechanical panels, and articulated arms that make him feel like an active little sidekick.

I’m really noticing the sharp paint separation on the suit panels, with the red and orange sections cleanly defined and the chest emblem sitting slightly raised from the torso for extra depth. The portrait pops in close up, showing layered hair sculpting with darker shading worked into the roots and crisp eye paint that gives her a focused expression while she grips her staff. Ro-Bear Bill looks great alongside her with heavier texture in the fur sculpt, rounded mechanical joints at the hips and shoulders, and a smooth helmet finish that contrasts nicely with the rougher body sculpt as he stands ready at her side.

From the rear, I’m catching how the armor straps cross cleanly across the upper back with a circular connector sitting between the shoulder blades, and the hair sculpt fans out in layered sections that rest naturally over the straps without blocking them. The suit paneling wraps tightly around the hips and legs with smooth paint transitions, and yeah, to borrow Saul Goodman for a second, “you are killing me with that booty,” because the sculpted curves and seam lines are very much on display as she shifts her weight forward on the staff.
