Holy Gotham City, DC fans! We are super excited to share that a brand new DC Comics 6″ Core line has just popped up on over at Target, and at $12.99 per figure this wave is looking like so much fun for collectors and kids alike. Wave 1 is kicking things off with some of DC’s most iconic characters, including Batman, Robin, Joker, and The Flash, and I love that we’re getting the Dynamic Duo right out of the gate alongside two of DC’s biggest heavy hitters. And it doesn’t stop there, because there’s also a really cool Core Batmobile is in stock at $42.99, so you can pair Batman with his iconic ride from day one. How amazing is that?! I always loved a good 6-inch scale DC figure, and seeing a new Core line launch with such a solid roster at that price point is really exciting. It’s a great entry into the DC collecting world and honestly a fun grab for anyone who just wants some classic characters on the shelf. A heads up that some of these, like Joker and Flash, are already showing as out of stock, so if you’re interested I wouldn’t wait too long to lock in your preorders. Target is a great retail partner and we always appreciate them as a spot to snag new releases early. So let’s take a look at DC Comics 6″ Core Wave 1 on Target, BBTS & EE!

DC Comics 6″ Core Batman

The card art features a classic comic-style Batman illustration with bold blue and grey tones, set against a Gotham cityscape rendered in electric blue. It’s a bright, eye-catching package design that leans heavily into that vintage DC aesthetic with its saturated colors and clean layout.

DC-Comics-6-inch-Core-Batman-1a

Batman fills up a hand nicely here, and you get a good sense of the figure’s chunky, comic-accurate proportions at this 6-inch scale. His soft goods cape drapes with a natural flow, and those batarangs clipped to each gauntlet are a fun touch I wasn’t expecting at the $12.99 price point.

DC Comics 6 inch Core Batman 2

Armed with a batarang, Batman’s grey and blue color scheme has a really satisfying comic book pop to it, especially that yellow bat emblem outlined in black against the grey chest. The utility belt is a bright, saturated yellow with individually sculpted pouches and a clean buckle, and I’m really digging the scalloped hem on that soft goods cape.

DC Comics 6 inch Core Batman 3

Here’s a look at everything you get in the box, and the accessory count is genuinely impressive for a figure at this price point. The sprue includes multiple batarang styles in varying sizes, two disc-shaped accessories with bat insignia detailing, what looks like a grapnel gun, and a tall white wall section with sculpted handholds that could work nicely as a climbing or display piece.

DC Comics 6 inch Core Batman 4

Here’s a closer look at the alternate head options across the wave, and I think it’s cool that each figure includes a Jokerized swap head. Batman gets a grinning cowl with green eyes and a red smear of a smile, Robin’s alternate is a ghostly white face with swirling green spiral eyes, and Flash has a similarly corrupted version of his own cowl, all leaning into that unsettling mind-control look.

DC Comics 6″ Core Robin

Robin’s packaging matches the wave’s blue Gotham cityscape card design, with a comic-style illustration on the left showing him in a classic red and green costume with a sweeping yellow cape. His yellow cape billows behind the figure inside the blister, and you can see a pair of white crescent-shaped accessories tucked alongside him in the bubble.

DC-Comics-6-inch-Core-Robin-1a

Robin fills up a hand nicely at this scale, and that red torso with its textured crosshatch pattern and the yellow “R” insignia really pops against the bright green sleeves and gloves. His soft goods cape has a great two-tone effect with a yellow interior lining that contrasts the darker outer side, and the oversized bat-shuriken he’s gripping has a clean embossed bat logo at its center.

DC Comics 6 inch Core Robin 2

Robin’s green domino mask has a sharp sculpt with clean edges that sit flush against his face, and the dark brown hair above it has a nice swept, slightly tousled look with individually sculpted strands. His utility belt features a circular buckle with a recessed center detail, and those chunky green boots have sculpted panels at the knees that give them an armored feel without overcomplicating the classic design.

DC Comics 6 inch Core Robin 3

Robin’s bladed staff has a great look to it, with a wide, angular head that tapers to a sharp point and a wrapped grip section near the base. Something I appreciate here is the yellow cape’s interior lining catching full display alongside the red torso, letting that whole classic color trio work together from head to toe.

DC Comics 6 inch Core Robin 4

Here’s a look at everything that comes with Robin, and the accessory sprue alone is worth calling out. Molded entirely in black, it includes multiple shuriken in different shapes, a pair of handcuffs, what appears to be a collapsible baton, a dart, and a large angular boomerang, all still on the runners alongside that tall white wall section with sculpted footholds.

DC Comics 6 inch Core Robin 5

DC Comics 6″ Core Joker

The Joker’s packaging follows the same card layout as the rest of the wave, with a Gotham cityscape in vibrant blue behind the blister and a comic-style illustration of a green-haired civilian figure on the left side of the card. Packed alongside him are a purple sci-fi styled weapon, a blue Batman head, and a red Flash head, confirming those Jokerized swap heads come bundled with the villain rather than their respective heroes.

DC-Comics-6-inch-Core-Joker-1a

Joker’s oversized cannon is the real showpiece here, with its purple body stamped “HA,” red chomping teeth jaws at the barrel, and a translucent green projectile mid-launch. You can see how the weapon is almost as big as he is, and those grey gloved hands grip it with just enough clearance to let the teeth mechanism work when you press down.

DC Comics 6 inch Core Joker 2

Joker’s magenta suit has a wonderful vibrancy to it, with the golden yellow vest and green shirt collar creating a classic comic-accurate color stack that just sings. I like how the pink lapel flower and the dark, loosely sculpted bolo tie add subtle texture breaks across an otherwise smooth jacket.

DC Comics 6 inch Core Joker 3

Joker’s head sculpt is where this figure really earns its keep, with that exaggerated, teeth-baring grin carved deep and wide, framed by sharp cheekbones and a swept-back shock of green hair with a white streak running through it. The green cuffs peeking out from under his magenta sleeves are a small detail, but they tie the whole color palette together nicely alongside those glossy black shoes.

DC Comics 6 inch Core Joker 4

Here’s a look at everything that comes with Joker, and the accessory spread is surprisingly generous. Three Jokerized swap heads sit above the figure, a massive purple cannon with red snapping jaws rests to one side, and a full green sprue loaded with themed accessories, including a large Joker-face medallion, fish-shaped pieces, skull-embossed discs, and scepter-like staffs, rounds out the haul.

DC Comics 6 inch Core Joker 5

DC Comics 6″ Core Flash

The Flash’s packaging follows the same blue cityscape card design as the rest of the wave, with a bold comic-style illustration of Barry Allen in his classic red suit and winged helmet running alongside the blister. A translucent yellow speed force effect piece sits behind the figure in the bubble, adding a nice sense of motion to the whole presentation.

DC-Comics-6-inch-Core-Flash-1a

Flash fills up a hand just as well as Batman does, and the bright red suit really pops against those golden yellow boots and belt. I like how the lightning bolt chest emblem has a clean white circle behind it, and those little winged ear pieces on the cowl have a nice sharp sculpt to them.

DC Comics 6 inch Core Flash 2

The translucent yellow speed force effect piece is a really fun inclusion, with its spiral vortex shape and jagged lightning edges adding a sense of kinetic energy when attached to Flash’s arm. You can see how the warm orange-to-yellow gradient through the translucent plastic gives it some nice depth, and it’s surprisingly large relative to the figure itself.

DC Comics 6 inch Core Flash 3

Flash comes loaded with speed force lightning effects here, including translucent yellow bolt pieces attached to his boots and trailing from his arm that really sell the sense of motion. One thing I noticed right away is the sculpted tread detail on those yellow boots, with finely etched grip lines across the soles that you don’t always see at this price point.

DC Comics 6 inch Core Flash 4

Here’s a closer look at Flash’s full accessory sprue, and it’s all molded in that same translucent yellow plastic. The sprue includes swap hands, additional lightning bolt trail pieces, and that large spiral vortex disc, all still on the runners and ready to pop off.

DC Comics Core Batmobile

The Batmobile packaging gives you a clear view of the vehicle itself, and it’s a chunky, aggressive design in matte grey with sharp angular fins and oversized treaded tires. Yellow accents pop across the side-mounted cannon and the included Bat-Drone, which sits nestled on top with translucent yellow rotors that add a nice contrast to all that grey.

Here’s a closer look at the Batmobile’s cockpit section, and that translucent amber canopy has a hinged opening mechanism with sculpted seat detailing underneath. The four grey blade-style wings fan out from the central body with gold disc accents at each tip, and that firing disc launcher at the rear sends a gold spoke-patterned projectile down a translucent white guide rail.

DC Comics JMD52 DC Core Batmobile 2

Batman is shown here with the Batmobile’s grey wing assembly strapped on as a wearable backpack unit, with those gold spoke-patterned disc launchers extending out from each side like oversized turbine engines. I like how the whole rig clips flush against his back and integrates with the figure’s proportions rather than just sitting on top of him. Figure sold seperately.

DC Comics JMD52 DC Core Batmobile 3

The Batmobile’s front-mounted cannon is a beast, with dual yellow-tipped projectile barrels flanking a larger central turret that extends well past the nose of the vehicle. You can see how those rear bat-shaped fins hinge upward from the back section, and the red taillight accents tucked between them and the chunky rear fender wells add a nice aggressive contrast to all that dark grey bodywork.

DC Comics JMD52 DC Core Batmobile 4

The Batmobile’s side profile shows off just how much sculpted detail is packed into this thing, from the layered fender armor and deep-cut wheel wells to those exposed yellow mechanical components running along the lower chassis like an armored undercarriage. Six gold spoke-patterned discs and the detachable Bat-Drone backpack unit are laid out alongside the vehicle, confirming a solid amount of play value packed into that $42.99 price point.
