Joefest 2025 is fast approaching and with that, all new exclusives are going to be announced! The team over at Delta-17 is no exception as this year they have several Joefest exclusives! The Delta 17 War team will be featuring a new Desert 2-Pack Delta Squad vs. Thunder Battalion Joe Fest Exclusive. Plus they will debut their new Hailstorm new battle tank figure available in two color ways and their and an accessory weapons pack. We have all of that here for an in hand review! Huge thanks to our friend Ken from Toy Kennections and Steve Delta-17 Toys for sending us these early products for our review. These new figures will debut at Joefest from June 20-22, 2025 in Augusta, Georgia. The Desert 2-Pack Joe Fest Exclusive will retail for $45. The Hailstorm will retail for $40, and then the Weapons pack for $7. Then after Joefest, they will all be available on the Delta-17 Figure Store – 5by5 Toys Ltd. website for purchase around the end of June. Desert 2-Pack Delta Squad vs. Thunder Battalion
The Desert 2-Pack Delta Squad vs. Thunder Battalion comes packaged on a single beautiful nice thick card back with both figures and all the accessories beautifully displayed in the blister bubble. The back of the card back features brand new artwork of the Thunder Battalion vs Delta squad. The card back rear will include a very cool illustration of the Delta Squad vs. Thunder Battalion characters in their Desert camo gear.
You can see the incredible pack out of the figures with include a ton of accessories.

Outside of the packaging, these figures feel great! And they come with so many accessories that you can have a blast posing them outside for some great adventures!
Here you can get a closer look at the amazing accessory pack out for each of the figures. They include removable helmets, multiple rifles, face masks, removable belt, back packs and much more!
Official Product Description: “No matter the terrain, the battle wages on. Delta Squad Infantry Troopers are cross-trained across multiple environments, including the desert. Likewise, the Thunder Battalion are equally as well trained and well equipped. If there’s a job to be done and payment to be had, they will follow the mission objective to the bitter end.”
Thunder Battalion
Members of the Retrograd, a mercenary army; Thunder Battalion operate under the direct command of Death Sparrow. The package has the accessories very nicely laid out over the figure, and you can see all the incredible accessories that this mercenary comes with!
Desert Thunder Battalion – Enemy Infantry
Recruited from various special operations units across Russia, members of the Spetsnaz Thunder Battalion operate under the direct command of Death Sparrow.
The Thunder Battalion ranks soon began to swell with new members as the word spread throughout the former Soviet empire of a mercenary unit that was paying better, had great food and benefits. Most importantly, this unit offered adventure and glory in the form of excessive violence and unbridled combat.
The Thunder Battalion are trained in multiple specialties ranging from special reconnaissance to direct rapid action attacks.
All members are familiar with weapons handling, infiltration, escape/evasion techniques, counter-terrorism, hand-to-hand combat, emergency medical training, explosives and demolition, as well as alpine mountaineering.
Toy features:
-Removable helmet and visor
-Removable belt order
-Gun and backpack
Here you can see the Thunder Battalion with his alternate helmet lowered and it looks cool with the red accent on the visor.
I love the look of this figure with his helmet and all the details of his sculpted web gear and his real separate rubber belt. It was a nice touch on the back pack to included the painted rope!

Delta Squad
Delta Squad infantry troopers are selected from Tier 1 and Tier 2 special operations units from all branches of the military.
Delta Squad – Delta 17 Infantry
Delta Squad infantry troopers are selected from Tier 1 and Tier 2 special operations units from all branches of the military. Some members are brought in from international spec ops units to assist Delta-17 on select missions.
Delta Squad is a standby unit consisting of 100 active members. Hundreds more have been fully trained, but reside with their regular units until needed.
Positioned across the globe in small units, Delta Squad is able to mobilize on short notice and assist Delta-17 when required.
Members are cross-trained in the following: advanced combat training, escape/evasion, survival skills, and anti-terrorist maneuvers while maintaining a high level of physical fitness.
Toy features:
-A detachable gas mask that stows inside the pack
-G36C rifle
-LAW rocket launcher
-3 missiles for the launcher
-K-Bar knife, and backpack.
The Desert Delta Squad infantry troopers are selected from Tier 1 and Tier 2 special operations units from all branches of the military and makes a wonderful army builder figure. He comes with an included face mask, backpack, knife, rifle and awesome bazooka launcher!
The Desert Delta Squad infantry troopers all geared up with incredible accessories and look great with their backpack on. You can stow all the accessories on the figure!

Hailstorm
Hailstorm will come in two color schemes, one in blue and one in grey. It includes a pair of gatling guns and ammo straps, plus backpacks. We have the blue one here for our review. Here you can see his packaging with the awesome window display and rear artwork.

The Hailstorm comes in a great window box with stunning Delta-17 art along the front and sides. The accessories pack comes in a plastic baggie with a Delta-17 hanger table. So let’s take a closer look at each of these Joe Fest exclusives.
Outdoor fun with the Thunder Battalion and Hailstorm! How fun are these guys!

Hailstorm comes with cool decals you can add anywhere you like. He is articulated at the arms and elbows. The bottom of the figure includes little wheels so it rolls.
You can see the two pair of gatling guns at his wrists and ammo straps. Close ups of his torso. The scuplted detail is incredible with all sorts of rivets and breather cable and panels and such. Plus he has front and back tow hooks.
You can see close ups of his shoulder and his base. I love the details they included. You can see sculpted hooks and panels etc.
