The images of new GI Joe Classified Series figures are still pouring in from overseas! Thanks to chaztheguru for the heads up that that Stan Chan from Facebook as posted in hand images of the GI Joe Classified Series Firefly! Put for preorder back in June 2023, this is the quintessential version of Firefly as it pays homage to his vintage figure release and, with most GI Joe Classified Series figures, gives him an updated look with a new take on the weapons and accessories.

Some would argue that THIS version of Firefly is the one they should have made for the Cobra Island release but the Joe team is making up for it with this release. Don’t get us wrong, the first version of Firefly was a great figure but the Joe team has since pivoted and found their sweet spot with the GI Joe Classified Series line and they are firing on all cylinders.
The camouflage is in all the right places and the weapons and accessories really make this figure shine! With versatile accessories like his character-inspired goggles, backpack, RC car with remote, 2 mines, knife, and other weaponry, Firefly is a figure that you can use to display his many looks for your shelf!
The RC Car can attach to the backpack and is a fun way to stow all of his gear, which the Classified Series is known for.
The mines machine gun, and detonator complete Firefly’s look and it’s great that the Joe team is including a well defined packout for this figure at the regular price point so you do get more bang (pun intended) for your buck!
Below we can see Firefly’s package, with a really cool illustration on the front of Firefly detonating his explosives. The rear shows the pack out that he comes with! Firefly is number #84.
Firefly Version 2
Firefly has incredible new camo deco. He comes with a rifle with a silencer that comes off. He also comes with his night vision googles that do also come off. Firefly also includes a remove detonator that connects to his explosive remove control car, and the RC Car can be stowed on his backpack as well. He also includes some mines, which will store on the backpack as well.
Since the start of the line, we are finally getting an updated more classic looking Firefly. You will see some familiar accessories, like his gun, but some more updated accessories like his backpack and his remote-control car. And in an homage to the vintage figure, he has a removable knife on wrist!
Firefly will be available for preorder today at 10am PST, 1pm EST on Mainline Retailers and Hasbro Pulse.
Firefly Digital Render Reveal
We already have Firefly for the GI Joe Classified Series, but something about him just never sat right with all the collectors. He really wasn’t the classic Firefly we were all waiting for. Somehow, he was too stylized with that huge chest armor and just never looked right. Well, now is Hasbro’s second chance to do Firefly right!
