Formo Toys Warriors of the Galaxy Wave 2 Preorders

Formo Toys official announced that Wave 2 of the Warriors of the Galaxy is coming soon! Quietly revealed at Zolocon 2025, we reported that 2 new figures Ygg and Spikes were amongst the incredible display put out by Formo Toys! Formo Toys announced that the preorders for these figures open up August 13th at Noon EST, 9am PST! Let’s take a look at their official images and recap what we learned from their reveal at Zolocon 2025 and history to each of these Warriors of the Galaxy figures for you below. Spikes, the Dark Spirit of the Galaxy Hole – is the Misterious General that will lead the Forces of Chaos in the fight for the control of Planet Ferror. Figure comes with a sword, shield, removable armor, removable belt and removable cape. It is made of eleven modular parts and has ten points of articulation. Wave 2 Official Images
The two new characters coming in Wave 2 include Ygg and Spikes! These are very cool and nostalgic characters from the original Galaxy Warriors line by Sungold.
Spikes
Official Product Description: Dark spirit of the Galaxy Hole, Spikes joins the ranks of the savage, cunning and cruel fighters of Planet Ferror. This mysterious general will lead the Forces of Chaos in the fight for control of Planet Ferror. The Spikes action figure comes with a sword, shield, removable armor, removable belt, and removable cape.
Each Legends of Dragonore action figure stands 5.5 inches, has six points of articulation and it’s made of ABS and PVC plastic. The figures feature multiple pop-apart joints that allow for simple mix-and-match customizing, and with the expansion of the line, will expand to a world of new possibilities, characters, and creatures. Each figure has up to ten modular joints. The joints are fully compatible with similar vintage modular figures.

Ygg

Zolocon 2025 Reveal
Revealed at this past weekend’s Zolocon 2025, Formo Toys displayed an incredible Castle scene with their Legends of Dragonore and new Warriors of the Galaxy. If you looked closely, there were 2 new Warriors of the Galaxy unannounced characters on display! Yes 2 new Warriors of the Galaxy are now on the horizon! Incredible homages to the vintage devious Ygg and Spikes figures from the vintage Sungold Galaxy Warriors line are the next figures for Wave 2! So let’s check out these Formo Toys Warriors of the Galaxy Wave 2 characters that were revealed!
Wave 2
Pictured below are the new Warriors of the Galaxy, The Black Trojan looking figure I believe looks like the vintage figure “Spikes . The other reddish orange figure is what we believe to be the devious Ygg figure from the vintage line. We will follow up with more information on these two guys.
Below we can see Baltard from Wave 1 of the Warriors of the Galaxt along with Spikes! Then a look at the new Warriors of the Galaxy. We have Magnon and the recently revealed Huk, plus an all new character the devious Ygg!
Baltard from Wave 1
Vintage Ygg from Sungold Galaxy Warriors
Ygg was released in 1987 as part of the Galaxy Warriors line from Sungold. He was a molded after some of the creeper warriors in Frank Frazetta paintings! He has an animal like face with a 3 horned head. The knock off line of Galaxy Warriors were an obscure but cool part of the 1980’s toy history and hold a dear place in our hearts! It’s so cool to see that Formo Toys are bringing them back in an awesome way! You can see his shield with the panther face on it, which I love that Formo Toys are recreating it. The Sungold Galaxy Warriors Spikes action figure was part of the Galaxy Warriors line, which features a variety of action figures inspired by sci-fi and fantasy themes. He was themed after a dark Trojan Warrior with a cool helmet with green fezz on the top. This is a vintage figure is quite rare and fetches a pretty penny on the aftermarket!
Wave 1
Wave 1 pictured below. These look great together. This new line is filling out wonderfully!
Magnon
Magnon was the main protagonist character in the original Galaxy Warriors line, and continues that under the Formo Toys line as well. Below, we get to see the new card back with the Warriors of the Galaxy branding next to the vintage Sun Gold Galaxy Warriors. Both of the card backs feature very Frank Frazzetta barbarian style artwork. The Warriors of the Galaxy logo by Formo Toys is an homage to the vintage original Galaxy Warriors with the sun behind the text.

Baltard
Baltard is the antagonist in the wave of 2 figures. Molded after the 1980’s Sungold originl from the Galaxy Warriors line, Baltard was a main character in the original line. The vintage Sun Gold version of Baltard is pictured below, and you can see where the new Formo Toys version gets it’s ques. The vintage characters of the Galaxy Warriors really resemble the new figures from Formo Toys. It is exciting to see where this new 5.5″ line is going to go! They look very close to characters Magnon, Baltard and Huk.

Huk
Huk’s package harkens back to the 1980’s and the original Sungold packaging. With illustrated images of Magnon and Baltard on the front of the package. His card back reads ” Huk- Bane of the Stormy Isles”. We get to finally see the official images for Huk! He is a stunning homage to the vintage Huk figure from the Sungold Galaxy Warriors line. Read more about the vintage figure further below in the article. He comes with a sword and shield and is wearing a cool furry cape!

Vintage Galaxy Warrior Huk Figure
The Galaxy Warrior Huk figure is part of a toy line that draws inspiration from the classic era of action figures, particularly the 1980s and 1990s.
