There’s something about Johnny Blaze that just captures everything wild and dark and cool about the Marvel Universe all at once. Ghost Rider has had quite the journey through toy lines over the years. From the classic Toy Biz Marvel Legends rides to various smaller scale attempts, collectors have been chasing the definitive comic-inspired Ghost Rider and motorcycle combo for a long time. Hasbro stepping up with a full deluxe retro style set like this feels like the answer we’ve been waiting for. We want to give a huge thanks to Big Bad Toy Store for sending us this Ghost Rider Marvel Legends Ghost Rider & Motorcycle for review, and if he has been on your must have list, you can still grab him now at Big Bad Toy Store. The sculpt on Johnny is fantastic. That flaming skull is sharp and menacing, and the body has a great comic-accurate look with all the little details you want to see on the Spirit of Vengeance. Swapping between the two head sculpts gives you some nice display variety and posing him on that motorcycle with the flame effects attached is just pure shelf magic. The bike itself has a wonderful chunky presence with sculpted flame detail running through it that pairs perfectly with the included effects pieces. This is the kind of set where you open it, start posing it, and suddenly an hour has gone by because you keep finding new ways to display it. It’s just that fun to mess around with. Packaging

The packaging features a black box with blue comic-style artwork along the lower portion, framing a large window that shows off the full contents of the set. Through the clear plastic, Ghost Rider’s fiery-red motorcycle dominates the left side of the tray, surrounded by translucent orange and red flame effects that give the whole display a lot of visual energy. Right out of the box, this set is loaded. You’re getting Ghost Rider himself, an alternate flaming skull head, three alternate hands, a chain, five flame effects, a separate skull piece, and of course that gorgeous fiery motorcycle. That is a serious spread of accessories for a Legends release, and every single piece feels like it earns its place in the box.

The back of the box features a large photo of Ghost Rider posed on his fiery-red motorcycle, surrounded by translucent flame effects, alongside a smaller inset image showing him wielding his chain accessory. I like the way the dark background with purple and pink comic-style speed lines gives the whole layout a classic ’90s retro feel.

The side panel artwork has a great retro comic book feel, depicting Ghost Rider on his motorcycle in bold reds, blues, and yellows against a hot pink and crimson backdrop. I like how they went with classic-era illustration here, with heavy ink lines and exaggerated yellow flames trailing off the bike and skull, pulling straight from that vintage Marvel aesthetic.

The opposite side panel features the same retro comic illustration of Ghost Rider astride his motorcycle, with those bold yellow flames and heavy ink outlines framed inside a bordered vignette near the bottom of the box. The teal comic-panel pattern running along the rest of the packaging adds a nice contrast to the dark box design.

The inner tray reveals the full pack out, with Ghost Rider’s fiery-red motorcycle taking up most of the left side alongside multiple translucent orange and red flame effects, a chain accessory, and a set of alternate white hands. Ghost Rider himself is packed on the right in his blue suit with white gloves and boots, and there’s an alternate flaming skull head tucked near the upper right corner of the tray.

Figure Details

Clad in a deep blue suit with grey trim running down the torso and along the arms, Ghost Rider cuts a clean figure with white gloves, a white belt of rounded segments at the waist, and dark boots. The translucent orange and red flame effect piece sits atop his white skull head sculpt, and that head sculpt is really solid, with sharp detail in the teeth and brow ridges.

From this side profile, the grey trim lines running down the length of the leg are a nice detail, continuing unbroken from the thigh through the shin before meeting the black boots. The white glove on the near hand has individually sculpted fingers curled into a fist, and the rounded white belt segments sit cleanly at the waistline.

From the back, the deep blue suit is smooth and uninterrupted, with a small diamond-shaped sculpt detail between the shoulder blades adding a subtle design element. The black boots and white rounded belt segments read cleanly from this angle, and the translucent red flame piece rising off the skull has a nice glossy sheen to it.

From the left side, the grey racing stripe runs cleanly down the entire length of the suit, from the shoulder through the hip and continuing along the outer leg to the boot line. The translucent flame effect fades from orange at the base near the skull to a deeper red at the tips, and there’s a nice sense of volume to how the piece wraps around the back of the head.

Ghost Rider sits astride his fiery-red motorcycle, chain raised overhead with the translucent orange flame tip trailing behind it. The bike is loaded with translucent orange and red flame effect pieces wrapping around the front forks, rear fender, and wheels, and there’s a small skull perched on the tall red sissy bar behind the seat.

The front view of the motorcycle shows off its glossy red finish and chrome-red handlebars with a single rear-view mirror on the right side. Translucent orange flame effects flank the front fender on both sides, and Ghost Rider’s chain accessory has a nice sculpted link texture with the translucent flame tip catching some light overhead.

Sporting his alternate flaming head sculpt, Ghost Rider rides the motorcycle with his chain whipped back overhead, the translucent orange flame tip on the chain catching some nice contrast against the red and orange flames engulfing the bike. The alternate head swaps the white skull for a dark-skinned face with sharp, angular features framed by a wild crown of translucent orange and red fire, pulling from his classic comic book look.

The alternate flaming head sculpt gives Ghost Rider a completely different look on the bike, with that dark-skinned face and angular features framed by the wild translucent fire crown contrasting nicely against the deep blue of the suit. I like how the white gloves pop against the glossy red handlebars as he grips them, and the flame effects clustered around the rear wheel give the whole setup a sense of motion.

A close-up of the motorcycle’s rear wheel shows the bike without the tall red sissy bar railing, with a translucent orange and red flame effect piece plugged into the peg where the railing normally sits. The flame piece curves up and trails back from the rear fender, and the glossy red spoked wheel frame has a nice depth to it beneath the flickering tendrils.

The handlebars are finished in the same glossy cherry red as the rest of the bike, with a clean, simple sculpt on the grips where his white-gloved hands wrap around them.

A close-up reveals the sharp sculpt work on Ghost Rider’s standard white skull head, with deep-set eye sockets, pronounced cheekbones, and individually defined teeth clenched in a grimace. The translucent flame effect piece transitions from a warm orange at the base of the skull to a bright red at the tips, with small air bubbles caught in the plastic adding a bit of texture to the fire.
