GI Joe Classified Series London Comic Con 2024 Coverage

The Hasbro Pulse Instagram account said that our favorite Global Brand Manager, Emily, is taking over the Hasbro Pulse Instagram account this weekend and will be covering the product reveals for London Comic Con 2024! They posted on their Instagram account: “Hey, Hasbro Pulse fans! Emily from the marketing team here, taking over the @hasbropulse account for the weekend to report live from MCM London Comic Con! Dwight, Chris, Evan, and I will be here all weekend with the #hasbropulse team in booth S1300 at the ExCel. Stay tuned for our continuing adventures (including product reveals!) as the convention continues 🙂.” We hope that the GI Joe Classified Series London Comic Con 2024 reveals will be featured on the 1027 Fanstream! Hot off the heals of New York Comic Con, where we saw digital renders of Snake Eyes with a massive Polar Bear, Footloose, Legacy Collection Firefighter, and a cool playset called the Cobra Defense Perimeter that comes withTrench Viper. We also saw name only reveals of Darklon, Crystal Ball, Snake Eyes v4, and a tease of a small form factor vehicle we think could be the AWE Striker. We will be covering the GI Joe Classified Series reveals coming out of London Comic Con 2024 so stay tuned but here is an image of the GI Joe Booth to tide you over! October 26, 2024 Update: Blowtorch and Frag Viper Digital Render Reveals

Blowtorch and Frag Viper are reported to be coming in Wave 19 and Heavy Duty and Nemesis Immortal will be the next deluxe figures!

Blowtorch

The Blowtorch digital render has been revealed, taking his off the name only list! He looks so classic and his fire suit is updated while retaining that lego brick feeling we loved from the vintage line!

Blowtorch was part of the 1984 series and cartoon and featured a very unique armor sculpt with orange-red pads on chest, arms, legs, and feet. The colors are what attracted me (Michael) to this figure when I was kid and he was my all time favorite figure in the so of course I would selfishly love to see him make the Classified Series and now he is coming!

Frag Viper

Frag Viper was also revealed and he looks just like his vintage figure! He comes with his classic grenade lobber and his classic colors!

As a freebie for miscounting the GI Joe Classified Series preorders on the Leap Day 2024 FanStream, Emily said that Frag Viper will also be coming to line but that would be very far into the future.

Heavy Duty

We got to see some product shots of Heavy Duty and Nemesis Immortal and they look awesome!

Retro Cardback Name Only Reveals

Flint, Tele Viper, and blonde Cover Girl will be joining the GI Joe Classified Series retro cardback line!

Super7 recently released a blonde Cover Girl for their ReAction+ O-ring line so we can imagine was a Retro Cardback version could look like! She was a high fashion model prior to enlistment- now she’s proficient in diesel mechanics, gas turbine technology, and LAW rockets, to name a few! This articulated, 3.75” scale G.I. Joe ReAction+ Figure of Cover Girl (Blonde) is inspired by the animated series G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero and comes with a blaster accessory. Designed to look and feel like the vintage G.I. Joe toy line from the early ‘80s, this throwback figure also features O-Ring construction with 12 points of articulation for ultimate posability. 

She comes with:

Cobra Defense Perimeter w/ Trench Viper

This bunker is small and pretty unassuming but it’s pretty cool to see a playset harken back to the Cobra Surveillance Port in a new way. Here is a closer look at the Trench Viper and the digital style paint app like Shockwave looks fantastic!

Here is the official digital render reveal posted by thegreattonino! He posted on his Instagram: “GI Joe Classified Cobra Perimeter and Trench Viper! More info on this will be revealed as we get further into the next stages, but here’s a look at classifieds first real venture into something of a diorama piece. As you may have seen in the panel, these bases can be stacked together to expand out and up. The more you acquire, the bigger your defense grid becomes.”

He continues, “I love how the Trench Viper came out as well. The deep navy blues with the black and white digital camo makes this guy super intimidating.”
