San Diego Comic Con Season is in full swing and Super7 keeps swinging with more and more products and teases! Today they teased us with a torso image of a Cobra Crimson Guard looking absolutely incredible and straight out of the Sunbow GI Joe Cartoon Series! You can see his Crimson red outfit, with the blue epilate, and beautiful silver Cobra logo on his chest! The Crimson Guard is holding a donut with a bite out of it and a cup of coffee. You have to love Super7’s humor, even Crimson Guards need to take coffee breaks, right? Right now the image below is the only tease that we get, but as soon as more details are released, we will be sure to update you. So let’s dive deeper into this GI Joe Ultimates Crimson Guard Tease!
Crimson Guard in Sunbow
The Crimson Guards were prominently featured in the GI Joe Sun Bow Cartoon series of the 1980’s and were always an important part of the line up!
The Crimson Guard represent several steps forward in the evolution of the Cobra Trooper. They are considered the most elite troopers of Cobra‘s army and possess a fearsome oath of loyalty to Cobra Commander that only few non-Siegie (phonetic for the Crimson Guard initials, C.G.) troopers can match. Aside from the standard infantry training they receive, each Crimson Guardsman is expected to specialize in a civilian profession that may be considered as mundane by most.
Specifically, most of them hold degrees in law or accountancy. Upon graduating, many are sent out to the world at large, posing as doctors, lawyers, executives and even infiltrating the higher echelons of politics. More than just undercover agents, the Crimson Guard goes deeper, earning the trust of the gullible public who don’t know their true loyalty…

The Rednok version of the Baroness pays homage to the exclusive figure that was released in India by the Funskool toy company.
Red Jackal Destro
Super7 posted on their Instagram and said, “
The Red Jackal Destro also pays homage to a vintage exclusive figure that was available in the United Kingdom and Europe around 1984 by the Palitoy toy company. He was also available packaged with the Hyena tank – a repaint of the H.I.S.S. Tank.
Cobra S.N.A.K.E Armor Super Cyborg Figure
In the tradition of the vintage Gi Joe S.N.A.K.E armor sets, Super7 brings us this beautiful homage to the it’s vintage counterpart. Complete with an exclusive Cobra Trooper Figure included inside and some absolutely beautiful window box packaging!
SDCC edition G.I. Joe City of the Dead ReAction Figure box set
The next exclusive is a deep cut to the GI Joe Sunbow cartoon series, the SDCC edition G.I. Joe City of the Dead ReAction Figure box set! Similar to last year’s Pyramid of Darkness Snakeling’s Box set, this year’s exclusive also comes from the Pyramid of Darkness: Part 3 episode featuring four Clay Warriors with assorted weapon accessories and two Skeleton Warriors with sword accessories! It comes in some absolutely stunning packaging with wonderful artwork recreating the ancient temple!

Cobra Commander Puzzle
