The new Legends of Dragonore figures are starting to ship out to collectors and we have In Hand Images by your very own Toy Sorceress. Now I’ve only received four of the figures of the first wave, with the others on the way, but these first figures are very impressive! This exciting new line of 5.5” action figures are designed to look like those found in the toy isles and toy chests of the 1980s and fit very well with your Masters of the Universe figures and other 5.5″ scale figures of that era. The figures stand 5.5 and have 10 points of articulation. Similar to MOTU Origins figures, these figures feature multiple pop-apart joints that ​​allow for simple mix-and-match customizing! Each figure comes packaged with a build a figure part to make the Divine Armor of Power™ figure. By collecting the entire wave, collectors will be able to put together this special figure not available separately. The Divine Armor of Power™ figure is completely compatible with the other figures’ joints. I have received thus far Barbaro, Oskuro, Onitor and Ka-rem, and absolutely love these first figures!

First impressions after having these in hand is that these figures are such great quality! I’m really impressed by the detailing, plastic quality, articulation and paint apps. The card backs are excellent quality and made of a thick card stock, with a nice glossy finish! All I can say is if you were on the fence about these, they are a must buy! Barbaro

Barbaro comes on the Legends of Dragonore blister card and you can see the Devine Armor of Power build-a-figure in the upper left corner. Kicking off the line is Barbaro, the heroic leader, in a gold and blue color scheme! He has an open helmet that is horned that that sits atop his head and a very cool furry chest harness with a gold emblem in the middle. He is also wearing a blue furry loin cloth and has an open shoe design where you can see his toes. He comes with a gold Battle Axe, which is his weapon of choice.

The figures have articulation at their head, arms, wrists, waist, legs and boot cuts.

You can see the incredible detail on the figure, and I especially love the Dragon crest on the center of his chest armor! His helmet is removeable and is a very nice touch!

Oskuro

Oskuro comes on the Legends of Dragonore blister card and you can see the Devine Armor of Power build-a-figure in the upper right corner. The cool thing is you get a file card on the back of each card back so you can learn about each charcater! Oskuro is the evil Magician!

The detailing on this figure is divine, from the scar on his eye to his cool chest armor with the skull on it’s chest, Oskuro is an awesome villain! I especially love his furry soft cape!

Every heroic warrior needs an evil counterpart and Oskuro is that evil villain that has an obsessive fascination with the dark arts. Clad in a power blue and black color scheme, Oskura definitely is sporting that evil vibe with his jet white hair and scar across eye! he has more of a flaired collar look to his chest harness with a cool skull and crossbones looking symbol on it. Dawning a furry cape and clutching his blue horned Chaos Staff, he looks like he means business!

Story: No one likes to talk about Oskuro. Those that have encountered him claim that death is preferable than being in debt to the man! And yet, some whisper that he is of royal origin; a nobleman that fell from grace in order to pursue his obsessive fascination with the dark arts. Oskuro’s reputation precedes him wherever he finds himself. That said, his motives often remain shrouded in mystery, even though his thirst for power is widely recognized. Oskuro has been seen traveling across the most savage regions of the western lands of late. Some suspect Oskuro is planning something of a dark nature, something colossal. If this is true, the world should be concerned…

Onitor

Onitor comes on the Legends of Dragonore blister card and you can see the Devine Armor of Power build-a-figure in the upper right corner. I love Onitor’s bright red and yellow color as he reminds me of a Chinese dragon!

The detailed sculpting on Onitor is incredible! I just love all the spikes on his head and armor, and his bright red skin! Also his club reminds me of a Chinese Dragon as well!

This red skinned demon with tusks protruding from his face is a force to reckon with! Wearing yellow and green armor, the contrast of colors go brilliantly together with his ornate look and menacing facial features. The yellow eyes tie everything together and we hope you don’t cross paths with this brute! Toting a black spiked club dubbed the Morning Star, he is sure to spark fear in his foes!

Story: Within the region of Darkazia, the desolated lands of Anterra see little sunlight, the skies obscured by powerful dust storms. Within this treacherous land a castle is hidden; an ancient fortress within which many secrets lie. But crossing the desolation in order to reach the ruins is a deadly feat, for the land is fraught with peril. It is common knowledge that those who have attempted the journey have never returned, rumored to have succumbed to a terrible, implacable demon! A being so powerful and devious that many believe it is utterly unstoppable. Once this creature has selected his target, nothing will prevent him from hunting and defeating his opponent.

Ka-Rem

Ka-Rem was one of the figures I was most excited about, as I love how is he is a translucent blue Genie! Ka-Rem comes on the Legends of Dragonore blister card and you can see the headdress of the Devine Armor of Power build-a-figure in the upper left corner.

I love how Ka-rem turned out, but the only complaint I have is that his cape is a bit thin and cheap feeling. Considering that Oskuro came with such an elaborate cape, this one pails in comparison. Perhaps the cost of the translucent plastic forced them to cut down costs on the cape?

One of the most intersting figures in the line is Ka-Rem, who is cast in a dark blue translucent plastic. With his ability to travel between dimension, the figure looks like he is in transition between them. Giving off a genie vibe, he has a Staff of Light, which resembles a magic lamp and his gold accents compliment his blue skin and outfit really well! The stark whites are a perfect color for his hair and his loin cloth and his purple soft good cape puts a nice ribbon on this amazing looking figure.

Story: Of the many magical beings observed, the Jinn of Light is one the most ancient and mysterious. Ka-Rem claims to herald from Al Ab Enoh, but this name cannot be located within any ancient texts detailing the countless worlds and dimensions. It is probable that this information pre-dates existence itself or has simply been lost within the sands of time. Yet, Ka-Rem is almost like a child. He is playful and caring, whilst also being stubborn and temperamental. Ka-Rem’s relationship with his Staff of Light remains unclear, as does the true scope of his powers. We know his third eye can lead the way between dimensions, but it can also see into the heart of those he encounters.
