Man-At-Arms & Tri-Klops MOTU Origins Movie Official Images
Collectors who have been following the journey of these two figures already know what they look like, but now we finally have the official images from Mattel for the MOTU Origins Movie Man-At-Arms and Tri-Klops, and it feels like the last puzzle piece clicking into place before what we hope is an imminent preorder window for the United States. These figures first caught everyone off guard when they were discovered on shelves at Target Australia with no prior announcement, and shortly after that we got a closer look thanks to in-hand images that gave collectors a solid idea of the sculpts, deco, and accessories. I mean heck! Even Mr. Home Arcade did in-hand reviews of Man-At-Arms and Tri-Klops. So while the designs themselves aren’t a surprise at this point, seeing Mattel pull back the curtain with polished official photography feels like a signal that things are moving forward and that these could land on a preorder page sooner rather than later. Man-At-Arms carries that movie-inspired armor aesthetic that translates well into the Origins format, and Tri-Klops looks like he’s shaping up to be a really solid interpretation of the character with his film-accurate look adapted into the retro style that makes this line so fun to collect. I love how the Origins Movie subset keeps expanding with characters beyond the obvious heavy hitters, and getting both of these in the same wave is a nice one-two punch for anyone building out their movie shelf. We’ll be keeping a close eye on this and will share preorder details the moment they surface, so stay tuned.
Man-At-Arms
Man-At-Arms is dressed in a green suit covered with gold armor plating across the chest, shoulders, forearms, thighs, and shins, and he wears a blue open-face helmet. These are the official images, but collectors have already gotten a good look at these figures after they turned up unexpectedly at retail in Australia, so it’s nice to finally see them in clean promo form alongside his mace and compact blaster.

The full figure shot gives us a clean look at Man-At-Arms after those surprise Target Australia sightings, and the official promo images confirm the sculpted detail on that chest armor is sharp, with layered panel lines and a V-shaped ridge running down the center. A small blaster sits holstered on his hip, tucked into one of the gold armor plates.

The mace has a ribbed grip running down the shaft, and it’s a chunky piece that fills the hand well. His head sculpt has a stern expression with a thick mustache, nailing the likeness of Idris Elba and his face is framed nicely by that blue helmet.

The copper armor has a nice metallic sheen to it, and the segmented sculpt work on the forearm guards and shin plates shows clean panel line detail throughout. After those surprise Target Australia finds gave collectors an early look, these official images confirm the figure holds up well under proper lighting, particularly that contrast between the matte green suit and the metallic armor finish.

Man-At-Arms carries his mace and has a compact blaster holstered at the hip, and the gold armor plating on the boots features sharp ridged fins along the outer edges. The belt has a row of sculpted pouches or cartridges with a silver buckle holding it all together.

From the back, the sculpted detail on his chest armor carries over with segmented plating and recessed panel lines across the upper back, and a small pistol is tucked into a holster near the hip. The gold knee guards have a curved, finned shape that wraps around to protect the back of the legs, matching the layered armor design seen throughout.

Tri-Klops
TriKlops pairs olive green armor plating on the shoulders and chest with a black bodysuit, and gold detailing runs down the center of his torso in a ribbed, vertical strip that connects to a wide gold belt buckle with an embossed emblem. He comes with a long-barreled rifle featuring a distinctive triangular stock, and his helmet has a single red sensor mounted on the visor band.

Those green camo-patterned pants have a subtle reptilian texture stamped into the fabric sculpt, and the studded loin guard hanging from the belt adds a nice layer of visual detail below the waist. Collectors already got a head start on this one after it popped up at Target Australia, but the official images show the full outfit coming together cleanly, from the black boots with their segmented armor to the copper wrist guards.

TriKlops gets the full official image treatment here, and after months of collectors spotting him in the wild at Australian retail, it’s good to finally see this promo shot confirm how well that helmet sculpt reads, with the red center sensor sitting cleanly between the olive visor band and the dark grey dome. His rifle has a long, thin barrel that extends well past the body of the figure, giving the weapon real presence.

After months of turning up unannounced at Target Australia, it’s great to finally have the official promo images for TriKlops, and this full shot shows off the contrast between his bare copper-toned arms and the heavy olive shoulder armor nicely. The camo pattern on his pants has a really distinct organic texture to it, almost snakeskin, and that studded loin guard breaks up the green nicely.

From the back, the segmented brown arm armor has sculpted ridged plating that wraps fully around the biceps and forearms, and a set of ribbed tubes run from the base of the helmet into the shoulder armor. These are the official images, but collectors have already seen what these figures look like after they were discovered out of the blue at Target Australia, so it’s satisfying to finally get a clean rear view showing the full extent of that snakeskin-textured pant sculpt and the chain detail hanging from the belt.
