Mantenna New Eternia Masterverse Hi-Res Box Art Reveal
Hot on the heels of the 360-degree box reveals last week, Roy Juarez has shared his hi-res artwork for the New Eternia Masterverse Mantenna, giving fans a crisp and detailed look at the stunning visuals that wrap this figure’s packaging that only Simon Eckert can deliver. We first got to see the front and back of the box in full at the end of last week, but these hi-res images really bring out the depth, color, and line work that make Roy’s art such a defining part of the Masterverse line. It’s always a treat to see how the digital art pops in higher resolution compared to the printed version on the box, and this release continues the tradition of elevating the Masterverse figures through art that feels just as collectible as the figures themselves. With Mantenna now fully revealed, this completes his packaging showcase for Mantenna and and we can’t wait to see when the hi-res art for the rest of Masterverse Wave 19 surfaces.

The box art for Mantenna looks sharp and vibrant, with his oversized eyes and jagged teeth rendered in bold detail. The artwork shows him blasting his weapon with energy effects that really pop against the cosmic background, while multiple Horde troopers fill the skies behind him. The side panel art gives a full-body look at Mantenna, emphasizing his unique proportions and menacing grin. This is just a preview of the hi-res images you’ll see below.

The illustration on the left shows Mantenna in full view, standing on rocky ground with his blaster, his bulging eyes and gaping teeth dominating the scene as a massive close-up of his face looms in the background. Simon captured his spindly limbs and armored torso with bold colors, making his grotesque features stand out even more. Shifting over to the right, the close-up brings all the fine details into focus: the segmented red plates of his chest armor, the Horde bat emblem pressed into chest and the intricate ridges along his insect-like face. His protruding eye stalks look sick and organic, while the jagged white fangs framed by his wide mouth add an extra punch of intensity to the artwork.

The scene is packed with action, showing the skies filled with swarms of Horde bat-like ships as a massive Horde Command Ship looms in the upper left. The setting below contrasts sharply, with the domed structures of Eternos visible in the lower right, standing as a symbol of the kingdom under siege. The red rocky terrain adds to the sense of invasion, while the glowing purple planet in the background completes the dramatic cosmic backdrop.

Mantenna is shown with his eye-blaster in hand, his twisted limbs and jagged features exaggerated in the artwork. What really jumps out is the lifelike eye blaster, firing a vivid beam of energy that looks almost alive with its veiny detail and glowing intensity. The way his head tilts slightly and his eyes bulge gives him an unhinged look, while the layered armor across his torso adds depth and texture to the design.

Mantenna SDCC 2025 Reveal
Mantenna creeps into the New Eternia Masterverse line with a grotesquely detailed update that stays true to his freakish roots while introducing new levels of realism. His four-legged sculpt is packed with insectoid textures and sharp armor detailing, highlighted by a bold red and blue color scheme that pops against his menacing snarl. What truly sets this version apart are the swappable eyeballs—each sculpted with eerie precision and a glossy, organic finish that makes them look unsettlingly lifelike. Combined with his Horde-branded chest armor and blast effect accessory, Mantenna looks ready to bug out and terrorize Eternia with unsettling flair.

This close-up of the New Eternia Masterverse Mantenna figure highlights the character’s most iconic feature—his bulging, oversized eyeballs. The eyes are cast in translucent orange plastic with vivid red and yellow iris detailing, giving them an unsettlingly lifelike appearance that evokes the vintage fright factor. Protruding from deep-set sockets, the eyes are mounted on long, veiny blue stalks. Combined with his open-jawed expression and angular red faceplate, this sculpt captures the grotesque charm of Mantenna in a hyper-detailed modern update.

This side angle of Mantenna highlights the elongated, insect-like legs and clawed feet, which give the figure a strong sense of stability and creature-like posture. The yellow-orange orbs extending from the eye stalks gleam under the display lighting, emphasizing their translucent material and exaggerated shape. His extended blaster accessory, featuring a spiraling red energy effect and matching orb at the tip, reinforces the exaggerated visual language of the character. The raised shoulder armor and flared head fins further accentuate his alien silhouette, lending him a distinctly menacing, otherworldly presence.
