Masterverse New Eternia Thunder Punch He-Man vs Leech In Hand Images

MOTU Madness continues into April and we have a special throw down edition of Masterverse New Eternia Thunder Punch He-Man vs Leech In Hand Images by yours truly, The Toy Sorceress! Mattel revealed their new Masterverse figure lineup for 2024 just a couple weeks ago and now we got Masterverse New Eternia Thunder Punch He-Man and Princess of Power Leech In Hand! I really love how these new figures came out, as they are a stunning homage to their classic characters! Mattel really knocked it out of the park on these guys! Let’s see how these two incredible juggernauts of Eternia battle it out in this Masterverse New Eternia Thunder Punch He-Man vs Leech special! Who will reign supreme?

These new Masterverse figures look incredible! There is some amazing new sculpted detail and painted shading to the figures bodies that make them so very premium and much higher quality than previous releases! Thunder Punch He-Man wins some point for style with those Thunder Punch effects!

The bright colors, and classic character specific accessories make these new Mastersverse figures a must have! Leech has the advantage with all new tooling and amazing details!

In the end, the battle of Thunder Punch He-Man vs. Leech, both figures have great accessories, incredible detail and a premium paint app quality to them. Given Leech’s extensive new tooling and detail on every bit of his body, I have to call Leech the winner of this battle!

Thunder Punch He-Man

TP He-Man features a very cool scene of him using this Thunder Punch powers to give New Eternia Skeletor a taste of the back of his hand or the font of his fist, depending on how you look at it.

The back of the box features actual images of the figures and it looks like He-Man laid waste to a Horde temple as you can see Hordak’s statue in ruins.

The sides of the box reveal a Snake Mountain scene on the left side and a beautiful illustration of Thunder Punch He-Man on the right.

Thunder Punch He-Man comes packed with 2 fists, a sword, classic Thunder Punch style shield, 2 thunder punch yellow translucent blast effects, and 2 faux gun caps.

The head sculpt might look mighty familiar as Thunder Punch He-Man is sporting the New Eternia Faker head! I was never a fan of that head sculpt on Faker, and when first revealed, I was a bit disappointed. But after getting this figure in hand, I have to say that this Thunder Punch He-Man looks just incredible and this head sculpt seems to suit him well!

He comes with a new chest harness and two thunder punch fist blast effects so he can pull a double whammy one-two punch on the evil warriors. He has new designed forearm gauntlets and a golden power sword. There is a light brown paint app on his loin cloth and boots, which goes well with the red harness and armor.

I love the homage to the vintage Thunder Punch He-Man figure as he comes packed with 2 faux gun caps, one gold one and one red one. You can open his backpack and place one back there. The second can be placed in his shield as the vintage figure did as well!

Here we can see some images from the back as well! The backpack pays homage to the cap effect that the original vintage Masters of the Universe Thunder Punch He-Man came with.

Leech Box Images

Leech is packed in the newly styled Masterverse window display box with the Princess of Power logo on the front. On the back of the box you can see actual product phots intermixed with the illustrations in the background.

On the side of the box, we can see Adora and Grizzlor as they rage into battle!

Here we can Leech in all his glory wheedling his whip and his crossbow!

Although he does not have any suction to his hands and feet, it’s still fun to pose Leech in incredible poses!

Here we can see closes of Leech’s face. The sculpted detail in his mouth with all those teeth, tongue and suction in his throat look amazing! His head has some nice shading on it too. His mouth has a nice shininess that makes it look wet inside.

His suction cup hands and feet have amazing detail of little suction like teeth kind of like the Sarlac pit in Return of the Jedi! LOL !

Here we can see both figures legs and the added shading they applied to accentuate the musculature of their legs.

Leech Official Images

Masterverse Leech looks like a mashup of his Filmation appearance and his Classics figure! He comes with a whip and Horde Crossbow.

The figure pays homage to the suction cups on the MOTU Classics figure and the appearance in the Filmation cartoon. The break dancing pose has to be the best image out of all of the reveals!

Box Art Teases

Easter eggs that tease future figures have always been the cornerstone of the MOTU Origins! We’ve covered the MOTU Origins teases quite a bit in the past but is the Masterverse line taking notes from Origins? The first time we saw a tease on the Masterverse boxes, which give ample room for illustrations, was the 1987 Masters of the Universe movie Beast Man on the box of movie Evil-Lyn. Since then, we’ve been biding our time to see if movie Beast Man would materialize. As part of the March MOTU Madness 2024 reveals, movie Beast Man was revealed as a figure! Thanks to our friends canaldosrosmineiros, they sent a side panel image of Leech’s Masterverse box, which teases Adora, Scorpia, and Catra (cat form) from the Princess of Power subline! We pose the question: are Masterverse boxes teasing future figures?

Adora Tease

On the side panel of Leech’s Masterverse box, we can see Adora alongside Grizzlor, which hopefully means we will be seeing Adora somewhere in the near future.

Adora

Adora was created as a figure in the Masters of the Universe Classics line. Her bio reads, “When Adora and her twin brother Adam were born, the Sorceress recognized they were the twins prophesied to wield the Power of Grayskull. She therefore magically cloned the Sword of He, enhancing it with the Stone of Protection so that each twin could have a key to unlock the Power. But Hordak also learned of the twins and arranged for his Eternian pupil Skeletor to abduct the infants. Man-At-Arms prevented Adam from being taken but Adora was stolen away to the planet of Etheria deep in the Dimension of Despondos. There she was raised by Hordak until the day her brother returned, handing her sword which she held aloft to become She-Ra the most powerful woman in the universe.

Scorpia

Leech’s box is turing out to be the most interesting as we can see a large illustration of him with Scopria and Catra (in cat form) on the front of the box. We also saw Adora teased on the side of the box and we are hoping both figures make it into the line.

Scorpia is a character in the animated series She-Ra: Princess of Power. She is a member of the Horde. She is part-human part-scorpion and fights to destroy the Great Rebellion. She was made into a figure for the Masters of the Universe Classics line as she was never made in the vintage She-Ra and the Princess of Power cartoon in the 1980’s.
