Mekaneck MOTU Core Masters of the Universe Movie Official Images

We’ve been keeping an eye on this one and it’s finally here in full view, because Mattel has shared official images of the Masters of the Universe movie Mekaneck from the MOTU Core line, and after catching just a glimpse of him on the Skel-Knight box art during our Toy Fair 2026 coverage when innocently asked to photograph the back of the package., we now get to feast our eyes on the complete figure in all his extended glory. I love how this release takes the on-screen likeness from the upcoming Masters of the Universe movie and translates it into the MOTU Core format, giving collectors a proper look at how Mattel is interpreting these cinematic designs for the toy aisle. Mekaneck comes equipped with two neck extensions, which is exactly the kind of accessory choice that hits the sweet spot between playability and character accuracy, because what would Mekaneck even be without that signature extending neck gimmick that has defined him since his vintage 80s origins? Seeing the full figure after only having that box art tease to go on is one of those moments that reminds you why patience pays off in this hobby, going from a partial reveal tucked into the background of another figure’s packaging to a polished official showcase that lets you really study the sculpt, the proportions, and the overall design language Mattel is using for the movie line. The likeness to his on-screen appearance looks solid from what we can see so far, and I’m really into how they’ve handled the armor detailing and the overall silhouette, which feels like a fresh take on a classic character while still being unmistakably Mekaneck. Can’t wait to see how this one looks in hand and alongside the rest of the movie lineup as more figures continue to roll out.

The card art features a cosmic purple and orange split design with He-Man and Skeletor flanking the sides, while a detailed illustration of Mekaneck in his movie design fills the lower portion. His silver mechanical neck and red helmet with green visor are prominently featured in the artwork.

Mekaneck MOTU Core Movie Figure 1

Mekaneck features a blue suit with a red chest armor piece that has sculpted venting detail across the front. He comes with two silver neck extensions and a compact silver blaster, while his dark brown boots and gunmetal paint apps add some nice contrast to the bright blue and red color scheme.

Outfitted with one of his neck extensions, Mekaneck’s mechanical neck piece has a nice segmented silver sculpt that elevates the red helmet well above the shoulders. The silver kneecaps and black belt buckle are small touches that break up the blue suit nicely.

Clad in his movie suit, Mekaneck holds the silver blaster with his black-gloved hand, and the red chest armor sits snugly over the blue bodysuit with a clean fit. The green triangular visor on his red helmet catches the eye, with just a sliver of skin tone peeking out beneath it.

Mekaneck MOTU Core Movie Figure 4

The figure is posed with fists clenched and no accessories equipped, giving a clean look at the overall proportions and color blocking. I like how the dark brown boots have a subtle sculpted buckle detail near the top that adds a utilitarian feel to the design.

Mekaneck MOTU Core Movie Figure 5

From the back, the red chest armor shows a sculpted face-like design with vented slits near the shoulder blades, which is a cool detail you wouldn’t catch from the front. The segmented gunmetal wrist guards and silver belt have a utilitarian look that pairs well with the overall military-style suit.
