MOTU Origins ThunderCats Thunder Raider Custom Concept Vehicle

Sometimes we come across some amazing custom work that we feel is so exceptional, we like to highlight it here on our website. This new MOTU Origins ThunderCats Thunder Raider Custom Concept Vehicle by the incredibly talented Joe Rizzo is no exception. Last time we reported on the amazing Mutated Mer-Man Custom Seahorse Stridor for the Turtles of Grayskull vehicle that Joe Rizzo created, and this new Thunder Raider just blew our minds! With all the excitement around the new MOTU x ThunderCats Crossover line, we felt that we just needed to share this with all of you, and how cool would it be if we actually got something like this for the new MOTU x ThunderCats Crossover line? Now Joe let up know that this was 95% complete, it just needs a few little finishing touches, but we will update this post when Joe sends us some completed photos. But in the meantime, without further ado, let’s check out Joe Rizzo Custom Creations‘ MOTU Origins ThunderCats Thunder Raider Custom Concept Vehicle! Joe is an incredible customizer and we look forward to more of his creative creations in the future!

You can see that the vehicle is a stunning homage to the Cat’s Lair but adapted to a Wind Raider vehicle. He created the Cat’s head and then the giant paws as well. He even included several ThunderCats symbols on the vehicle!

Joe takes us thru his creative process on he 3D printed the parts and modified a MOTU Origins Wind Raider vehicle and customized it to create this amazing Thunder Raider! Enjoy this video by Joe Rizzo

The creative process

Let’s take a glimpse at how Joe created this incredible custom Thunder Raider! Here’s a look at Joe’s creative process and how he 3D printed custom parts to transform the Wind Raider into the Thunder Raider!

Here you can see some of the parts going through some sort of finishing process, but how cool is this?!

You can see how the custom claws attach to the jet pack ends of the front of the Wind Raider.

Some additional views from the top and side. You can see how he used the round turret portion to attach the Cat’s head and he even included the collar around his neck with the ThunderCats logo! I love the ThunderCats logo on the wings as well!
