Mondo MOTU200X Teela 1/12 scale Figure Limited Edition Reveal & Preorder
By the power of Grayskull! Mondo just dropped a stunning new reveal and we are so excited about this one. Huge thanks to @mondonews for sharing the first look at their MOTU200X Teela 1/12 Scale Figure Limited Edition, the next entry in their incredible He-Man and the Masters of the Universe 1/12 scale line. I always loved the 200X series designs for the way they modernized the classic MOTU characters while keeping everything that made them so iconic, and Teela looks amazing here. She comes loaded with her iconic weapons, swappable portraits and hands, and a detailed environmental base that really sets the scene. And as if that wasn’t enough, Mondo is also including the magical Trollian himself, Orko, complete with his own display stand that can connect to the base or be displayed separately. How cool is that?! It’s so exciting to see the 200X aesthetic getting this kind of premium treatment, and I love how Mondo keeps expanding this line with characters that deserve the spotlight. Pre-orders open Tuesday, June 16 at 11 AM CT over at MondoShop.com, so make sure you set those alarms because these limited editions tend to go fast. So let’s take a look at the Mondo MOTU200X Teela 1/12 Scale Figure Limited Edition!
Teela is decked out in white and gold armor with intricate leaf-shaped sculpting on her skirt panels, teal accents on her shoulder guards and belt, and a red gemstone set into the belt’s center. She carries a cobra-headed staff with a deep red wrapped grip and a teal and gold shield with a gorgeous cross-shaped clasp detail.

A close-up reveals the incredible detail in Teela’s face sculpt, from her sharp green eyes to the subtle contouring on her lips and brow. Her auburn hair is swept up through a gold cobra crown with a red jewel at its center, and the individual strands of hair have a wonderful flowing quality to them.

You can see how the gold leaf motifs carry all the way down to her knee guards, which sit over tufts of white fur trim that add a nice textural contrast against the brown leather boots beneath. The shield has a rich metallic burgundy finish with ornate swirl engravings and a gold central boss that ties it back to the armor’s overall palette.

Orko is included as a bonus companion figure, and he looks fantastic, with his oversized brown hat, bright yellow eyes peeking out from beneath the brim, and a purple scarf wrapped snugly around his face. His flowing red robe features gold trim along every edge and the sleeves open into wide, flared cuffs with black interiors, while his little blue hands are sculpted with wonderfully expressive, splayed fingers.

Here’s a closer look at Teela posed alongside He-Man, and the scale difference between the two figures works really well, with her leaner frame and ornate gold armor creating a nice visual contrast against his bulkier silver and bronze harness. I’m really digging how all those teal, gold, and white tones on her armor pop when paired next to He-Man’s more muted earth tones and fur textures.

Teela comes with a generous spread of extras, including three swap-out portraits, two pairs of alternate hands, her cobra staff, a sword with an ornate red and gold crossguard, and a round shield. The environmental base is a real treat, featuring gnarled, twisting tree branches arching over a rocky outcropping with patches of green moss and small sculpted plants tucked into the crevices.

Orko is the star here, and I love how his little blue hands have such personality, with each finger individually sculpted and spread wide in that classic mischievous gesture. Teela looms in the background, her gold and white armor just soft enough in the blur to sell the sense of scale between the two figures.

Armed with her sword and cobra staff, Teela’s grinning expression on this portrait really sells a confident, almost mischievous energy that’s completely different from the more neutral faces we’ve seen. I like how the fur trim on her boots catches your eye here, with each tuft individually sculpted and flowing naturally against the gold knee guards above.

Teela’s interaction with Orko is such a fun moment, her open hand reaching out to meet his while that confident grin sells the warmth between them. Something I appreciate here is how Orko’s blue flame effect piece hovers just above his hat, adding a translucent, ethereal pop of color against the warm gold and red tones surrounding both figures.

The shield really shines here, with those swirl engravings and the spiked central boss catching a warm red glow that deepens the metallic burgundy finish into something almost molten. Her teal and gold chest armor has a beautiful pearlescent quality to it, shifting subtly between cool blue and warm gold depending on where the light hits.
