Mondo teases Masters of the Universe Laser Power He-Man
By the Power of Grayskull! Huge thanks to @mondonews for dropping this incredible tease on their Instagram! Mondo has just given us a lightning bolt and explosion emoji alongside a silhouette tease of none other than Laser Power He-Man in their 1/6th scale Masters of the Universe line, and boy are we thrilled! This is a deep cut that I did not see coming at all, and judging by the comments section, nobody else did either. Laser Power He-Man was one of those later-era vintage figures that always stood out on the shelf with that wild translucent chest armor and light-up feature, and the idea of Mondo giving him the full 1/6th scale treatment is just so exciting. Mondo’s MOTU line has really evolved and grown over the years, and each new release seems to push the quality and character selection further and further. Seeing them reach into the later waves of the vintage line for a pick like this really says a lot about where the line is headed and how committed they are to giving collectors something unexpected. While nothing has been officially confirmed yet beyond this tease, I can’t be more excited to see what Mondo has cooking with this one. Will we get a new buck? Updated head sculpts? Only time will tell. So let’s take a look at Mondo’s tease of Laser Power He-Man!
The Power Sword glows with a bright yellow translucent effect, and the light-up chest harness casts a blue glow through the iconic cross emblem. I’m really digging the way the lighting showcases what looks like a seriously impressive LED feature built into Laser Power He-Man’s armor. Can’t wait to see what the full reveal looks like!
