The MOTU booth was on fire at San Diego Comic Con 2024 as they revealed their Fall/Spring lineup for their Mattel Creations exclusives. There were 7 figures (not counting Extendar), which account for 6 months of Mattel Creations exclusives goodness. In the display we saw 4 MOTU Origins figures (Modulok was in the Cartoon Collection display but he will be a MOTU Origins vintage figure, 2 Mastersverse figures, and 1 figure, Vultak, making his debut in the line and following in Two-Bad’s footsteps as a Mattel Creations Cartoon Collection exclusive.

Fall 2024

The Fall months include September, October and November and they are just around the corner! Already revealed on a Mattel live stream, it’s exciting to see Geldor, Demo-Man, and the New Eternia Horde Trooper on display!

MOTU Origins Geldor & Demo-Man

Geldor and Demo-Man, who were revealed back in March 2024, were on display in the MOTU booth and they both have a Fall 2024.

Geldor came out as a figure for the MOTU Classics line and on March 21, 2024 at the Mattel Creations Revealed event, it was announced that Demo-Man and Geldor were getting Masters of the Universe Origins figures to be released in Fall 2024. These figures will come with either a shared mini comic, or individual mini comics, that should expand the lore of Geldor.

New Eternia Horde Trooper

The Masterverse Horde Trooper is one beefy boy! He’s just the right girth and will make a huge presence on your shelf!

If you catch the light right, you can see an amber glow coming his eyes. Although not light piped, the eyes are contructed in a way that reflects light to make them look like they are glowing.

Spring 2025

The wait will be a little a longer as the Spring Months are March, April, and May and we’ll see Rio Blast, Vultak, and New Eternia Panthor join the line! Who will be lined up with which month? Only time will tell but let’s take a gander at the pics while we wait!

Rio Blast

After being teased for quite some time on MOTU Origins box and card art, it is great to finally see Rio Blast come to the MOTU Origins line.

They packed all of the details into this figure and did not skimp one bit! There are even extra details in the chest and thigh cavities.

Modulok

Although Modulok was in the Cartoon Collection display, he will be a Mattel Creations exclusive as he, like Rio Blast, is part of the vintage MOTU Origins line.

Cartoon Collection Vultak

Labeled incorrectly as an Origins figure in the Mattel Booth at SDCC 2024, Vultak looks like he’ll be a Mattel Creations Cartoon Collection exclusive. Since the MOTU team revealed the 40th Anniversary Sh-Ra and Hordak figures at their panel, having Vultak spoil the 40th Anniversary reveal of the Princess of Power line would not have been a great thing but given that the Cartoon Collection is also called the MOTU Origins Cartoon Collection, they were right, as Obi-Wan Kenobi says, “from a certain point view.” He was was also not part of the original Masters of the Universe Origins line and he appeared in two Princess of Power episodes. Given that the Cartoon Collection is celebrating the 40th Anniversary of She-Ra and the Princess of Power, it makes sense that Vultak will be a Cartoon Collection figure. He also has another tell tale sign with his Zootron robot as a pack-in that comes from the Zoo Story episode.

Vultak is an Evil Horde member, in charge of collecting specimens for Hordak’s Zoo. He is a vulture-like humanoid with a pointy beak-like nose, talons for feet, and wings on his back, wearing black Horde armor. He serves as Hordak’s zookeeper and has a small army of Zootron robots that carry out tasks for Vultak. Vultak has not only the ability to fly, but also has the skill to transform into a vampiric black shadow. While he can dish out punishment to his zoo subjects, he can’t take it himself, and tries to run away as a coward at any chance of trouble.

He feature red beadle eyes and pointy ears with large wings and a fur collar and cuffs. Here is a close up of the Zootron robot that features a gray paint app with orange, triangular eyes and an orange button on the top of robot.

New Eternia Panthor

Panthor was the standout of the reveals as he features a premium paint app and design. Reusing Battle Cat’s buck as the base for the figure, he features very detailed armor and a helmet fitting for Skeletor’s beast.

Panthor can also carry weapons as we can see a spear packed on the left side. On the other side, according to the Mattel designers in the booth, can carry Skeletor’s Havoc Staff. We did not get to see Panthor without his helmet but we were told that his eyes have crystals in them to reflect light.

Panthor’s saddle is super detailed and features more of a leather look in the middle with a high front/back saddle. The saddle also has stirrups as Panthor has been given the New Eternia royal treatment.
