MOTU Reveals and Teases Mondo Toy Talk Episode 37 Holiday Recap
I love it when the end of the year still manages to drop genuine surprises, and Mondo absolutely delivered during Toy Talk Episode 37 with their End of the Year Holiday Recap, which was packed with Masters of the Universe goodness worth slowing down and really taking in, especially since all of this came straight from their livestream and not rumor territory. Sitting there watching the recap, it felt like a direct continuation of the momentum they kicked off at NYCC 2025, with a followup to the Teela and Orko reveal that gave us a stunning digital render that really helps contextualize where this release is headed and how it fits into Mondo’s broader MOTU plans. On top of that, Mondo teased not one but two figures coming to the MOTU 200x line in 2026, which immediately sent my brain spinning about what characters could be next and how deep they plan to go into that era and we think the Snake Men are coming. They also showed off a one sixth scale Tri-Klops prototype that looks stunning and then, just when you think the segment is winding down, they casually drop the reveal of a fully flocked Panthor, which honestly stopped me in my tracks as I thought this was not going to see the light of day. It was one of those moments where you could feel the chat light up and the excitement ripple out in real time, and it made this recap feel less like a simple year end wrap up and more like a statement that Mondo is far from done making noise in the MOTU space.
Teela and Orko Digital Render Reveal
This is a digital render showing Teela and Orko as fully realized 200x designs rather than physical figures. Teela’s sculpted look leans into clean armor lines, smooth surface transitions, and sharply defined facial features, with the ponytail flowing in a controlled arc and the sword modeled tightly against her back, all of it reading very deliberate and polished. Orko appears mid hover with crisp robe folds, exaggerated hands reaching forward, and bright eye shapes under the brim of his hat, giving me that sense of motion and character expression that really sells how these would translate into 1:12 scale when produced.

This closer view zeroes in on the armor construction, with layered gold leaf shaped panels cascading from the waist and cleanly segmented to suggest natural movement when posed. I’m really drawn to the sculpted bracers and belt, both packed with raised filigree and jewel details that sit proud from the surface, while the thigh armor narrows into sharp points that frame the legs. The knee guards carry rounded gold rims with white padded centers, flowing straight into the fur trimmed boots and giving the lower half a strong visual balance.

Teela and Orko NYCC 2025 Reveal
Teela’s design follows her distinctive 200x cartoon appearance, featuring her updated armor and signature high ponytail. She was shown alongside Orko, marking his inclusion as part of her release. The team highlighted how Teela’s look in the animated series felt like a fresh interpretation for the character, and they expressed enthusiasm about capturing that unique visual style in figure form. Shown in the concept art reveal, Teela features her 200x armor design with gold and turquoise accents, ornate chest and waist armor, and a detailed skirt with feathered trim on her boots. Her long, swept-back hair and confident stance highlight the warrior look of the figure. Included beside her are her signature staff, shield with intricate engravings, and a sword bearing the 200x aesthetic. To the right, Orko is shown in his red and gold outfit with his blue hands and ears peeking out from under his hat, leaning into the 200x styling. Below him is a display base featuring twisted, gnarled roots and grass.

Tri-Klops One Sixth Scale
Tri-Klops is shown from the front with the candy metallic green chest armor catching the light, layered with sculpted rivets and panel lines that flow into the shoulder plates, and I love how the bronze bracers and belt add contrast against the green while the gem at the waist pops cleanly. The helmet’s single eye sits deep in the sculpt with a sharp visor edge, and the fabric skirt hangs naturally over the upper thighs with textured folds that feel scaled right. From the side, the build really shows off the muscular arm sculpt and how the shoulder armor floats just enough to allow movement, while the segmented leg armor wraps tightly around the calves and boots without breaking the silhouette. I’m also noticing how the paint transitions stay tight along the armor edges, especially where the green meets the flesh tone, giving the whole figure a solid, premium finish.

The Doom Seeker is being held up close and the gold wing fins flare out from the sides with sharp sculpted edges, while the underside shows a mechanical nozzle and tubing that give it a functional, weaponized look. In hand it feels like it’s meant to swoop forward, with the eyes facing straight ahead and the sculpt flowing cleanly from nose to tail without any wasted detail.

As we zero in on the rotating visor that lets you swap out different eye colors with a simple turn of the helmet, you can see the eye shifting from red to blue as the visor rotates, and it locks in cleanly so the eye sits centered and sharp each time. I really like how this feature feels like you are playing with the vintage figure giving him that classic Tri-Klops functionality while still working smoothly at this larger scale.

The figure is held with the visor set to the red angry eye, and I’m really digging the translucent red blast effect that plugs straight into the helmet, projecting forward like a focused energy shot. The piece is long and layered with ridges, giving it a sense of motion as if the beam is firing mid action, and the clear red plastic lets light pass through cleanly from end to end. I like how it lines up directly with the eye, making the effect feel purposeful and integrated rather than just an add on.

Flocked Panthor
Mondo has pulled of a fully flocked Panthor and he looks amazing! Panthor is shown in 1/6 scale with a fully flocked purple body that gives the sculpt a dense, soft texture across the head, torso, and limbs, and I can almost feel how much that surface treatment changes the look compared to smooth plastic.

200x Figure Teases
The teased silhouettes show two very different builds, with the figure on the left having a broad, armored frame, thick forearms, heavy boots, and horn like shapes rising from the head, which is why my mind immediately goes to a 200x styled King Hiss based purely on that bulky profile helmet design. The figure on the right is taller and more slender with a long, tattered cloak draping down to the ankles, clawed hands hanging low at the sides. Both shapes feel very deliberate and distinct, and I can’t help but study the outlines trying to spot any small cues that might give the game away.
