Original He-Man & Skeletor MOTU Origins Preorder

The Most Powerful Man in the Universe and the Evil Lord of Destruction are bringing the nostalgia in the re-release of these Masters of the Universe Origins Wave 1 He-Man and Skeletor figures with some small updates! That’s right, in celebration of He-Man and Skeletor returning to the “Big Screen”, Mattel is re-releasing the original He-Man and Skeletor MOTU Origins figures for preorder! But keep in mind the newest MOTU Origins figures have been coming on nice thicker card backs and we hope there will be some distinction on the new packaging for these guys! So if you either got into MOTU Origins late, or want a nice new fresh set of figures on better card backs, Entertainment Earth, Big Bad Toy Store and Amazon currently has these up for preorder with a release of April 2026 for $21.99. You will notice that these figures come with full power swords, so they are not just straight re-releases of wave 1, there are some small updated. These figures are supposed to be available at select retailers, so when we track down the other sources, we will let you know. In the meantime, let’s re-live the begins of MOTU Origins with these Original He-Man & Skeletor MOTU Origins preorders!

Updated images for He-Man were uploaded by BBTS, as you will see they took actual photos of the correct Reissue package which shows the vintage style head He-Man.

From the sides, you will also see that it is indeed the standard blister glued to the cardback, but you will notice that is looks to be the thicker card backs that are being currently used and not the flimsy ones from the first original waves of figures.

The Origins Good Guy and Bad Guy are back with these nostalgic re-release of the original He-Man and Skeletor MOTU Origins figures!

You can tell this is a slightly updated version of the original Wave 1 He-Man because he includes a nice silvery looking full sword with the correct handle. The Wave 1 He-Man had originally come with the vintage style half sword. He also comes with his shield and axe.

Look at that diobolical laugh! You gotta love this original version of Skeletor. Again, you can tell this is a slightly updated version of the original Wave 1 Skeletor as well because he also includes a full sword with the correct handle. The Wave 1 Skeletor also originally came with the vintage style half sword.
