The G.I. Joe Classified Series continues to deliver classic characters with the upcoming release of Retro Cardback Rock ‘N Roll. Thanks to new in-hand images by @shark_eyes_pix, collectors now have a closer look at how this figure reimagines the iconic original in 6″ scale! Rock ‘N Roll was one of the original 13 characters released in 1982 and has remained a fan favorite over the decades for his heavy weaponry and no-nonsense appearance. As always, this new Classified Series version draws from his vintage roots while refining the design with contemporary sculpting and updated paint apps. This figure was shown off at the New York Comic Con 2025 Hasbro press breakfast and went up for preorder and it’s great to see him in-hand so let’s check out the in-hand images of this awesome Rock N Roll GI Joe Classified Series retro cardback figure!
The figure features a more muted green and gray color scheme compared to the brighter tones of his earlier Classified release, with a fuller blond beard and brown eyebrows. The sculpt includes short sleeves that emphasize his muscular build sans tattoos, with finely detailed textures across the torso, pants, and gear. His accessories include a long ammo belt that can be draped across his chest and fed into his large machine gun, as shown below. In the posed shot shot below, Rock ‘N Roll is seen lying prone with his weapon braced against a barricade, showing off the articulation range and posability of the figure!
