The package and art for the recently announced Skeletor Screeech 2-Pack had its big reveal today thanks for Roy Juarez!

You can also see Zoar coming in from the upper left to thwart Skeletor and Screeech’s plans as you know they are up to no good! The cross sell is also great to see with Point Dread and the Talon Fighter and Wave 14!

Art and Ilustrations

Pictured below is the full front box art for the Skeletor and Screeech 2-Pack and Skeletor looks a little troubled! With Snake Mountain looming in the background, he has strayed pretty far away from home. In this desolate scene, Skeletor is gazing down at a river of lava below. A penny for Skeletor’s thoughts!

Up close, we can see the amazing details of Snake Mountain, Screeech, and Skeletor. The color scheme of Skeletor harkens back to the vintage box art and Screeech’s beady yes are fantastic!

On the back of the box art we can see a close up of Skeletor releasing Screeech into the wild to head off Zoar, who is off in the distance barreling down on the evil duo.

Skeletor and Screech 2-Pack Reveal

Our previous leak that a Skeletor & Screech 2 pack was coming to the MOTU Origins line in 2023 is now confirmed and set to be released in July 2023! Screeech was the robotic bird that Skeletor sent out to spy on the Heroic Warriors. Screech too came from existing tooling from the 1972 eagle from the Big Jim Line. Released in 1983, the large bird’s color scheme was molded after the colors of the Filmation cartoon, blue and purple. Screech too had a button on his back that activated the flight mode and made the wings flap up and down. We already have Teela with Zoar, so it is just natural that we would get Skeletor and Screech! Teela was a repaint variant, and it is exciting to see Skeletor’s new color refresh! In the pack out, it does not show 2 heads, so it also looks like skeletor comes with maybe an articulated jaw?

Vintage Gift Set

Skeletor and Screeech were released as a 2-Pack gift set in the 1980’s so it is apropos that they would get the same treatment in Origins. Although we are not excited to get yet another Skeletor figure, the news of Screeech is fantastic! Screeech has been teased on several box and card arts plus, given how Zoar turned out, this bird will look exactly like the vintage figure!

Skeletor & Screeech 2-Pack Leak

We first heard about this leak from a UK toy site but they since have removed the listings so all we have is the product page for these ones, which were leaked back in December 2022.
