If you haven’t heard of Stan Solo Creations, well I am about to introduce you to an amazing company that is making fan made vintage inspired Kenner Style Star Wars toys! Stan Solo Creations is doing some incredible work in creating factory quality custom Star Wars toys, that look and feel just like the vintage Kenner figures we all loved as kids! They are reproducing some charcters, but also creating new ones that were never made before. I had the pleasure of picking up a few of the figures and a brand new never before made Mini Rig as well. So we will review the new Stan Solo Creations Star Wars Ubrikkian 9000 and several of the figures.

Ubrikkian 9000
The Ubrikian 9000 is a Star Wars mini rig in the style of the original Kenner ones, but this one was actually on screen in a New Hope! This vehicle was parked outside the Cantina on Mos Eisley while C3PO and R2 waited by the Landspeeder. This custom designed mini-rig by Stan Solo Creations is gorgeous and extremely well made! It has the look and feel of an original vintage Kenner vehicle!
Packaging
The packaging on this thing is absolutely stunning! Stan Solo Creations did not cut any corners on this. The box front is complete with the Star Wars a New Hope Kenner logo, and classic vintage silver pipping. There is an image of the Ubrikkian 9000 parked outside the Cantina Adventure playset on the front. On the top, there is a photo of the Ubrikkian 9000 from A New Hope, the movie. This piece fits right into any Vintage Star Wars collection.
The back side of the package features product images with Greedo standing outside the Z001 Landspeeder and also sitting inside.
Mini-Rig
In the tradition of many Kenner Star Wars mini-rigs that came before it, the Ubrikkian 9000 fits right in. Unlike the previous Kenner mini rigs of the past, that were supposed to be imagined vehicles “just off screen”, the Ubrikkian 9000 was actually seen in the movie!
You can see it parked outside the Mos Eisley Cantina as C3PO an R2D2 wait outside for their companions.

Here is another look at the Ubrikkian 9000 in the Cantina Scene.

One more look at the Ubrikkian 9000 in the Cantina Scene.

This mini rig is made of excellent high-quality plastic which looks and feels just like the vintage Kenner style. The logos are painted on very nicely and look very clean. The translucent blue windows are very well made, and you can see your passengers inside thru them. The base of the Ubrikkian 9000 even has landing gear, just as it looked in the movie! You can open a hatch on the very top or open it in the middle to expose the seats for 2 passengers inside!

One you get the pod open, you will see seats for 2 figures with a very simple 1970’s design, with ribbed seats, a small joystick controller and some stickers for display screens and controls. Stan Solo did an amazing job at capturing the look and feel a vintage Star Wars mini rig!

You can see, you can seat 2 figures inside comfortably and you have the option of displaying this open in the middle or closed or closed with the top hatch open.

Stan Solo Custom Figures
Stan Solo has been making some amazing custom Kenner style for several years now. I was lucky enough to pick up a few and will cover them in this review.
Garindan – Long Snout Spy
Garindan, or the Long Snout Spy as some people like to call him, was featured in Star Wars a new hope, spying on Luke and Obi Wan as they try to hire Han Solo to pilot them to Alderann. Garindan reports to a Storm Trooper outside the Cantina and allows them to be followed to Han Solo’s hangar, where the Millenium Falcon awaits them.

Stan Solo did an amazing job creating the long snout spy! He looks like he stepped right out of 1977! Complete with a black vinyl cape, he comes with a communicator just like that of the Cloud Car Pilot but in black plastic. His outfit is grey with a black belt, black gloves and black boots. Garidan sports his long snout, grey googles and black hood over his head. He looks very reminiscent of the Death Squad Commander but is a completely unique sculpt! They quality, look and feel of this figure is top notch and feels just like real vintage Kenner figures!

Vinyl Caped Jawas
Utini!! These little Vinyl Caped Jawas are so much fun and cost a fraction of what an original vintage one would! As you know the VC Jawas are very rare and go for a pretty penny on the aftermarket. But you can get several of these little guys for just 14 British pounds, which is approx $17 USD! Complete with their signature brown vinyl cape and little Jawa blaster, these custom Jawas are spectacular!

Death Star Gunner
The Death Star Gunner was famously part of the infamous last 17 figures of the original Power of the Force Kenner line in 1985. Well, Stan Solo has recreated this Death Star Gunner figure in a incredible likeness! He is dressed all in black and comes with his ultra cool blaster! The original vintage figure again goes for a fortune on the after market, so you can get yours for a fraction of the price, and not lose out on detail or quality, as this figure is top notch!

Blue Snaggletooth
The original Blue Snaggletooth was a figure that came packed with the 1978 Sears exclusive Cantina Adventure Playset. This Snaggletooth was tall and wore silver GoGo boots, but did not resemble the character in the movie. Later as you know, Snaggletooth was revised to look more his on screen look of a short little harry character in a red outfit. Again, Stan Solo Creations outdid themselves in recreating this rare figure! He is spot on in every detail, silver GoGo boots and all!

Toy Photography fun
