Summary
This new version of Teela is the leader of the palace guard version we have all been waiting for! When the first version of Teela joined the Masterverse line, I have to be honest, I was kind of disappointed and it was a bit of a pass for me. I was really hoping for a classic looking Teela figure. Well wait no more, because here she is! This is the quintessential Teela figure, an absolute beauty! Coming right off the screen, this version of Teela looks just like the Netflix Revelation animated cartoon series! Complete with her hair up in a updo, with her tiara, and classic battle dress outfit! Teela is adorned with gold accents, and beautiful painted! She includes an all new sword and shield, reminiscent of that of the vintage figure. And this Teela even includes an alternate head with her hair down looking like a more wild version of Teela ready to do battle. Let’s dive in and take a look at this amazing new Teela figure!

Box and Art
Teela comes packaged in the typical Masterverse collector friendly window box. The side box art shows a classic image of Teela wearing her crown, ready to attack. The rear box art on Teela is simply stunning, with a beautifully illustrated image of Teela with her long hair flowing wheedling her sword and shield, standing near what looks to be a castle turret, with the beautiful reddish purple Eternian sky in the background.

Head Sculpt
This Wave 4 version of Teela captures that classic look everything knows and loves. Teela comes packed with both the classic looking head sculpt and an alternate head with free-flowing hair. Her classic head sculpt is especially well done. Her head resembles that classic Teela look, with her reddish-brown hair in a bun, and tiara with a red jewel, in the Revelation cartoon style. Her face features rosy cheeks, red lipstick and very nicely detailed eyes with beautifully painted reddish-brown eyebrows.

The alternate head features Teela with free-flowing reddish-brown hair. Teela has a more serious and somber look on her face. I really like both head sculpts and go back and forth on which to display her with. These two head sculpts are a vast improvement than the Wave 2 Teela head sculpt. I have seen some people take the extra head, and swap it on the Wave 2 Teela, and I have to say, it looks pretty good.

Tosro & Waist
Teela’s torso and waist looks to be a brand new sculpt. Her outfit is representing the classic leader of the palace guard, Filmation style we are all used to see Teela wearing. It is a white dress, with yellow and gold trim and accents. Her collar has that typical Teela upswing, with gold trim, and then the sleeveless dress has gold accents with a yellow and gold design at the waist and back, which do a nice job at hiding the ab crunch articulation line. The skirt has a nice gold armor piece on the front as well.

Arms
Her arms seem to be an all new sculpt as well. They did a good job at balancing the shape and the muscle tone of her arms to nicely represent the Revelation Cartoon version of Teela. That was one criticism many people had on the first version of Teela, was that she looks too jacked up, so this is a nice balance. Her left and right arms are symmetrical, and they both have gold colored bicep bracers and white with gold colored wrist bracers as well.

Legs & Boots
The legs on Teela are the from the standard female buck for the Masterverse figures. She has her typical white fur lined brown boots. These boots look like the classic design we are all used to Teela wearing. I am glad they kept it simple, and did not try to change or stylize them.

Weapons and Accessories
Teela comes with 5 accessories which include:
- alternate head
- left & right alternate gripping hands
- sword
- gold shield
Let’s take a closer look at each below:

Extra Hands
Teela comes packaged with 2 sets of extra alternate hands. One set of closed fisted hands, and one set of vertically hinged gripping hands.

Shield
Teela’s shield resembles that of the shield that came packaged with Stinkor, but in a gold color. It has the typical Masterverse arm strapped on the back side, and Teela comes packed with the flat hand to slide behind the shield. I find that the flat hand does not hold the shield in place too well and it tends to slip out. I think that the gripping hand, holds the shield in place much better.

Sword
Teela comes with an all-new sword design. The sword resembles the sword that Teela wheedled in the Netflix Revelation cartoon. With a long silver blade, brown & gold colored hilt, and gold simple cross guard, this beautiful sword fits this version of Teela perfectly! It truly is a classic sword, for a classic version of Teela!

MOTU Classics Comparison
Looking at the Masterverse Teela and MOTU Classics Teela side by side, you can see that the new Teela is very reminiscent of the MOTU Classics version in her traditional dress, slightly modernized to match the Revelation cartoon. Where the MOTU Classics Teela is a direct representation of the vintage figure, only larger scale, and highly articulated. Both have red hair with tiaras, arm and wrist bracers, and gold trim to their dresses. The Classic version seems to have a bit more detail to her outfit, and is mainly white, with gold and burgandy accents. The Classics Teela is also wearing a gold-colored belt as well. I do like the look of the MOTU Classics Teela, and they did do a great job on her face too. They new Masterverse Teela, however seems to have a more realistic looking face with better make up. Where the new Masterverse Teela outshines the Classic Teela is in the articulation and the pin-less joints! You cant help to notice those huge pins on the elbow and knee joints on the Classics figures, where the new Masterverse figures all have pin-less joints, which give them a huge advantage! Given how expensive the MOTU Classics Teela is, I say for the retail price of $21.99, this new Teela is well worth it, and so I give this up to the Masterverse version in terms of value for your money.

This new version of Teela was the one I was waiting for in the Masterverse line. I really love her classic outfit that pays homage to the vintage figure, while being a great representation of the Revelation cartoon. Teela’s face sculpt and make up make her look beautiful and the plus side of pin-less joints wins over the MOTU classics version for a fraction of the price. All and all I am happy with this new Teela. For that I give this one a 6.5 out of 7 and highly recommend this new Masterverse Relevlation Teela version 2 action figure.
