Cowabunga! We’ve got some super exciting news for all you TMNT fans out there, and this one is going to move fast so listen up! Super7 has just opened preorders for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ULTIMATES Wave 16, and this time it’s the Nightmare Turtles variant featuring all four brothers, Michelangelo, Leonardo, Donatello, and Raphael. Now here’s the big deal, each character is limited to just 1,000 units and they’re exclusive to Super7.com, so if you want these guys in your collection you’re going to want to act quickly. I always loved the wilder, more offbeat variants from the vintage Playmates line and seeing Super7 give that same energy the full ULTIMATES treatment with premium sculpting and paint applications is really cool. These are priced at $55 each and are expected to ship in Fall 2026, so you’ve got some time to wait but securing that preorder now is the move with numbers this low. Super7 continues to be one of our favorite partners for collectors who want that extra level of quality and care with their figures, and we always appreciate them keeping the TMNT ULTIMATES line fresh with deep cut releases like this. So let’s take a look at the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ULTIMATES Wave 16 Nightmare Turtles!

This is a teaser shot that’s all about atmosphere, with the silhouette of one of the Nightmare Turtles emerging from darkness, those glowing white eyes and jagged, triangular teeth the only features cutting through. You can see how the sculpt leans hard into a horror vibe, with the rounded head shape and rows of sharp fangs hinting at something far more monstrous than any turtle you’re used to.

Here’s a closer look at the full Nightmare Turtles lineup, and these sculpts are something else. All four brothers share a monstrous redesign with exaggerated, fanged open mouths, clawed hands, and a deeper, more saturated green skin tone that leans almost reptilian, with each turtle still distinguished by their signature colored masks and weapons, from Leonardo’s katana to Raphael’s sai, Donatello’s bo staff, and Michelangelo’s nunchucks.

Here’s a full spread of what each Nightmare Turtle comes with, and the accessory count across the set is generous. Leonardo includes two katana with translucent slashing effect pieces attached to the blades and a swap-out head, Michelangelo gets his nunchucks alongside a color-matched spinning shuriken effect piece in orange, Donatello’s bo staff pairs with that enormous brown-and-purple bladed disc, and Raphael rounds things out with his twin sai and two deep crimson shuriken effect accessories, plus every figure ships with multiple interchangeable hands.

Donatello

Donatello’s shell gets a wild upgrade here, with a massive, jagged-edged disc mounted to his back, layered with sharp purple tendrils that spiral outward like some kind of parasitic growth. I like how the olive-brown tones on his belt, knee pads, and elbow wraps contrast against that bright green skin, keeping the classic gear silhouette while everything else goes full creature feature.

Donatello’s full accessory spread is laid out here, and it’s nice to see just how much the bo staff pops with that purple-wrapped grip section breaking up the brown wood grain. The alternate head offers a wild tongue-out expression with sharper, more angular teeth than the default portrait, while four additional swap hands, ranging from open-clawed to fisted, give you plenty of posing options for a figure limited to just 1,000 pieces.

Raphael

Armed with those massive crimson shuriken effect pieces, Raphael looks absolutely menacing here, the red and silver layered fins fanning out from each sai like weaponized pinwheels. You can see how the segmented chest plastron has its own sculpted panel lines and subtle color shifts from lighter green at the center to a deeper teal at the edges, tying into the knotted belt at his waist.

Raphael comes with a hefty accessory spread, including his twin sai with red-wrapped handles, an alternate head with a more subdued snarl and trailing mask tails, and two oversized shuriken effect pieces featuring crimson saw-blade fins tipped in gold. The swap hands include a pair of open-clawed grasping options and two fisted variations, all molded in that same deep teal green as the rest of the figure.

Leonardo

Leonardo looks absolutely feral with those translucent katana effect pieces in full swing, the blue swoosh blades catching an icy, almost spectral quality against his deep green skin. One thing I noticed right away is how the brown leather strapping across his shell and torso has a layered, wrapped texture with knotted ties hanging loose at the waist, adding a scrappy, lived-in quality that really sells the nightmare concept.

Leonardo’s full accessory layout is impressive, with two katana in both standard blade and slashing effect versions, the latter featuring translucent silver swoosh pieces that taper into sharp, curved points. The alternate head swaps in a slightly different expression with the tongue lolling out and the blue mask tails streaming in a different direction, giving you solid display variety between the two portraits.

Michelangelo

Michelangelo gets his moment here with that spinning nunchuck effect piece in full rotation, and the way the orange and brown handles radiate outward with those serrated gold-tipped fins between them creates a genuinely menacing weapon silhouette. I’m really digging the sculpt on his face, where that wide-open, fanged mouth and furrowed brow work with the orange mask to keep him recognizable even under all that nightmare redesign.

Michelangelo’s full accessory layout shows off a pair of nunchucks with orange-wrapped grips and silver chain links, plus that wild spinning nunchuck effect piece where multiple brown and orange handles fan out from a central silver hub with serrated blade edges between them. Four swap hands give you a nice mix of open-clawed grabs and smaller gripping fists, all molded in that same teal green, alongside an alternate head sporting a closed-mouth snarl with the orange mask tails flowing off to one side.
