Who ya gonna call? Huge thanks to @ghostbustersnews for sharing our first formal look at the packaging for the upcoming The Real Ghostbusters Kenner Classics Ecto-Glow Ghosts Two-Pack and Ecto-Glow Ecto-1from Hasbro! I love how Hasbro has been keeping the Kenner Classics line alive and well, and seeing new collector-friendly packaging for these glow-in-the-dark spooks is really cool. The original Ecto-Glow figures were some of the most fun releases from the vintage Kenner line, and getting them back in updated packaging that pays homage to that era is super exciting for fans of The Real Ghostbusters. Boy are we also thrilled to see the Ecto-Glow Ecto-1 packaging with that amazing harrymooredesign art as well. The Kenner Classics line has been doing such an amazing job bringing back these beloved vehicles and figures with that vintage card art and retro styling we all fell in love with back in the day, and seeing the Ecto-Glow Ecto-1 boxed up and ready to go is super exciting. So let’s take a look at the Ecto-Glow Ghosts Two-Pack and Ecto-Glow Ecto-1 packaging!

Ecto-Glow Ghosts Two-Pack
The box features a clean white design with purple trim along the bottom edge, housing both Slimer and the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man behind a clear plastic window. Slimer’s glow-in-the-dark plastic is paired with his signature green eyes and open mouth, while Stay Puft sports his blue sailor collar and pink neckerchief, both figures cast in that pale yellowish-green glow plastic. Hopefully when we get to the see the rest of the packaging, we will see some incredible artwork by harrymooredesign!

Ecto-Glow Ecto-1
Huge thanks to @ghostbustersnews for sharing a closer look at the packaging and sticker sheet for The Real Ghostbusters Kenner Classics Ecto-Glow Ecto-1! I always loved the Ecto-Glow sub-line from the original Kenner run. There was something so fun about that glow-in-the-dark feature that made playtime feel extra spooky, and now collectors get to experience it all over again. The included sticker sheet looks really cool too, complete with no-ghost logos, a glowing slimmer ghost for the back window, and plenty of colorful slime decals to dress up the vehicle however you like. How fun is that?! The Ecto-Glow Ecto-1 is expected to ship next month via Hasbro Pulse, so the wait is almost over for Ghostbusters fans who have been eyeing this one.
The box art features a lively illustrated scene of the Ghostbusters crew riding in the Ecto-1, with Slimer clinging to the front and colorful slime splashes across the vehicle. The back of the packaging shows the vehicle from multiple angles along with photos of the included accessories. The Ecto-Glow Ecto-1 itself sits alongside its accessories, which include a small glow-in-the-dark ghost figure, a sticker sheet covered in no-ghost logos and slime decals, and a dark ghost trap accessory. I like how the vehicle keeps the classic white and green stripe deco while adding pink and orange fin details on the rear, giving it that distinctly animated look from the cartoon.

Ecto-Glow Kenner Classics SDCC 2025 Reveals
I ain’t afraid of no ghost! The next wave of Kenner Classic Ghostbusters reissues are back and this time they are the ultra rare and sought after Ecto-Glow figures! These new Ecto-Glow 4 pack reissues can only be purchased at the Hasbro booth at SDCC 2025!
The figure assortment consists of Ray Stantz with Gulper Ghost, Peter Venkman with Spider Ghost, Egon Spengler with Jail Jaw Ghost, and Winston Zeddemore with Wrapper Ghost, and all GLOW IN THE DARK! The Kenner classics figures pay homage to the vintage Kenner The Real Ghostbusters toys with respect to their packaging, figure, and packout! They were also showing off their new Ecto-Glow Slimer and Stay Puft Marshmallow Man figures!

To celebrate Ghostbusters Day 2025, the Hasbro team at NYC’s iconic Hook & Ladder 8 gave us some Haslab updates and also some new product surprise reveals which included this all new Kenner Classics Ecto Glow Ecto-1 Vehicle, packaging reveal for the Ecto Glow 4 Pack, and a new Ghostbusters Plasma Series Rooftop Showdown 4 pack set! Yes as part pf Ghostbusters Day 2025, the Kenner Team revealed an all new The Real Ghostbusters Ecto-Glow Ecto-1 Kenner Classics vehicle to go along with the The Real Ghostbusters Ecto-Glow Kenner Classics SDCC 2025 figures! Preorders for this new Ecto-Glow Ecto-1 Kenner Classics Vehicle are supposed to drop during SDCC 2025! Another reveal from @hasbropulse during this year’s Ghostbusters Day celebration in New York City: adding to the previously announced Kenner Classics The Real Ghostbusters Ecto Glow Heroes, fans can now look forward to a matching glow-in-the-dark Ecto-1!
While the four Ecto Glow Heroes—featuring neon, ghostly versions of Peter, Ray, Egon, and Winston—will be offered as an in-person exclusive at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con (with remaining stock later available on HasbroPulse.com), the newly unveiled Ecto-1 will be an online exclusive. Available through Hasbro Pulse during SDCC, the vehicle features a retro-inspired makeover that complements the funky aesthetic of the Ecto Glow lineup.

There were two more silhouettes of mystery items to be revealed in the Fall of 2025 and in 2026. The Fall 2025 set looks like Stay Puft and Slimmer, and the 2026 reveal looks like Ecto Glow Copter with Luis Tulley Ghostbuster figure.

I love the art on the 4 pack of Ecto Glow figures! Big shout out to harrymooredesign who designed the new Ecto-Glow packaging! I just love the art on the front of the 4 pack!
