Vypor Masters of the Universe Origins In-Package Video & Images

With the release of the Vypor Masters of the Universe Origins card art, Roy Juarez posted an Instagram story of Vypor on card that shows off the amazing figures details. As the focus has been on the card art, it is nice to see Vypor on card as it creates anticipation for the figure’s release and I know many collector’s that are clamoring to preorder this one! So far, the only preorder has been on Paulmart while Amazon and Walmart have yet to have him in stock. Since Instagram stories only last for 24 hours, we downloaded the video so we can show off the amazing figure details while he is still contained in the package.

We took some screenshots from the Instagram story and this is one of the most detailed MOTU Origins figures to date!

Say ahhhhhhhh!!!! Getting a closer look at Vypor’s massive, articulated jaw, there are a mix a teeth of varying sizes plus 4 huge fangs! There is also a very cool prehistoric texture to the figure’s head sculpt. It’s full of bumpy snake skin detail!

Here is a close up of Vypor’s white scepter / staff. It has a great design and the white plastic makes it look like it’s bone.

Here are some more up close and personal shots of Vypor’s jaw and the chains that hang from his armor. The gold chest armor is a great backdrop for the green snake symbol in the middle of his chest. You can also see the scallped detail on the loin cloth that has an amazing purple belt with a red and gold buckle.

I love the mouth wide open look and you can see the full set of chompers and fangs!

Vypor Official Card Art Reveal

Roy Juarez officially revealed the digital art that adorns Vypor’s card art that features the stunning work of Axel Gimenez and Joseph John Zacate. Special shout out to Shawn for solving the mystery surrounding the presence of some new Snake Men that are in the background on Vypor’s card art. Now that we can see a fully colored digital image, there is no doubt that the new Snake Men are a brand new character called Cham-Or. Huge shoutout to Planet Eternia for thumbing through the new Kings of the Snake Men book by Axel Gimenez and Leonardo Vega. Roy announced on his Instagram page, “A clossser look at the sssinissster artwork and packaging for the upcoming Originsss Vypor.”

Vypor looks amazing on card and he is packed with mouth wide open, showing off his articulated jaw!

The entire scene on the back of Vypor’s card it is spectacular! We see Eldor kneeling in front of Vypor with the new Snake Men Cham-Or surrounding them with Lady Slither looking on

Up close, we can see the amazing colors of Cham-Or and these figures and concepts will definitely bring some color into your Snake Men display.

Cham-Or Tease

Cham-Or is a new Snake Men character and will reuse parts from Tung Lashor, Mosquitor, Skeletor, Rattlor, Keldor, Castle Grayskull Space Suit, and Frog Monger!

Axel himself responded to our Instagram post and highlighted two very cool details about Cham-Or!

Vypor Card Art Tease

Roy Juarez and team officially revealed a carded video of the forthcoming MOTU Origins Vypor! Vypor is another one of Axel Gimenez’s concepts that never got produced from the MOTU Classics line. Officially revealed back on March 26, 2024 as part of Mattel’s MOTU March madness reveals, Vypor will look amazing as the keeper of the Viper Tower and would make a fantastic addition to the Eternia playset scene! In an Instagram post, Roy said, “Origins Vypor, the Sinister Embodiment of Viper Tower and general for Lady Slither!”

Vypor Carded Images

Vypor comes packed on the Rise of the Snake Men card and his name is “Origins Vypor, Sinister Embodiment of Viper Tower.”

The art shows Vypor front and center holding his scepter with Eldor on his knees while Lady Slither looks on in the background! We got wind that Eldor (and He-Ro) were coming to the MOTU Origins line so this is further confirmation. There are also some other Snake Men characters that resemble Frog Monger in the scene so it will be great to see if those are extra illustrations were used to fill in the scene or if they will become new characters to help build out the Rise of the Snake Men theme started last year.

Vypor is also packed with his articulated jaw wide open and he looks amazing!

May 4, 2024: Vypor Cardback Full Sketch

Roy released another update to the MOTU Origins Vypor illustration, which shows the full sketch! We can clearly see Eldor on his knees in front of Vypor. We also get a better look at the other new Snake Men in the scene, along with Lady Slither and her throne. Special thank to sir Eldor himself, masterversal_toyhunter, for giving us a heads up!!!
