Everybody’s got a price! Huge thanks to @majorwfpod for posting these images and giving us the heads up on the latest drop from Mattel’s amazing WWE LJN Superstars retro line. Wave 4 has been revealed and it is a really cool lineup featuring Mr. Perfect with the Intercontinental Championship, CM Punk, and The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase! If you grew up with those chunky, rubber LJN Wrestling Superstars figures in the 80s, you know how special this line is, and Mattel continues to do the originals proud with each new wave. I love how Mr. Perfect comes packed with the IC title, that is such a nice touch and so fitting for one of the greatest Intercontinental Champions of all time. And pairing CM Punk alongside The Million Dollar Man in the same wave? How cool is that?! These apparently went up on WWE Shop and sold out in minutes, which tells you everything you need to know about how the collector community feels about this line. If you missed out, hopefully we’ll see a restock or a wider retail release down the road, but only time will tell. So let’s take a look at WWE LJN Superstars Retro Wave 4!

Mr. Perfect
The card art is a total love letter to the original LJN packaging, with that bright blue backer and a fun, cartoon-style wrestling ring scene full of illustrated wrestlers brawling in the background. Mr. Perfect is secured in a clear blister with his championship belt and towel, and I like how the overall presentation nails that late-’80s toy aisle nostalgia right down to the bottom banner teasing a poster inside.

Mr. Perfect comes dressed in his signature orange singlet with matching trunks, white wristbands, and white boots, all faithfully translated into that chunky retro LJN style. He includes a championship belt and a white towel accessory, which is a great nod to one of his most iconic in-ring habits. The card art is fantastic, featuring a hand-illustrated Mr. Perfect standing in the ring with arms crossed, a packed arena crowd behind him, and bold “Tonight at the Coliseum” text across the bottom. You can see how the whole presentation leans into that late-’80s aesthetic with the energetic crowd signs and vivid color palette.

Mr. Perfect is outfitted with a glossy red singlet that covers his torso and trunks, paired with white lace-up boots and black knee pads that nail the classic ring gear. He comes equipped with a championship belt featuring gold plates on a black strap, plus a white towel accessory, and I like how the blonde feathered hair and confident expression capture that signature Curt Hennig swagger.

Ted DiBiase
The card art is a total nostalgia trip, with that bright blue backer covered in chaotic cartoon wrestlers packed around a ringside crowd. I like how the illustrated style perfectly recreates the feel of those classic LJN cards from the ’80s, right down to the bold red lettering and the rowdy, exaggerated crowd scenes filling every inch of available space.

Ted DiBiase is looking sharp in his black suit with a purple vest, purple bow tie, and white dress shirt, complete with dollar sign details on the lapels. The wad of green cash clutched in his fist is a perfect accessory choice for the Million Dollar Man. The card art captures DiBiase ringside in his full suit, fistful of bills tucked into his jacket, with a rowdy coliseum crowd filling every inch of the background. I like how the illustration nails that smug, money-flaunting energy with the purple stripe running down his pant leg and the confident posture.

Ted DiBiase is dressed in a glossy black tuxedo with a purple vest and matching bow tie, and those white dollar sign emblems on the vest are such a perfect touch for the Million Dollar Man. A wad of green cash is sculpted right into his fist, and the brown hair and beard have a great chunky retro feel that fits the LJN aesthetic perfectly.

CM Punk
CM Punk’s white t-shirt features a Chicago-flag inspired design with red six-pointed stars and bold black graphics, and those same star details carry down to the white trunks and kick pads. The black knee pads and boots break up the white nicely, and I’m really digging the tattoo work on both arms, which adds a lot of character to that simplified LJN sculpt style.

CM Punk’s white long-sleeve shirt features a Chicago flag-inspired design with red stars and a black stripe across the chest, and the tattooed arms peeking out from under the sleeves are a nice touch on this retro sculpt. His black trunks sit above white kick pads decorated with red stars and blue stripes, paired with black knee pads and white boots. The card art places Punk in the ring with taped fists and that same Chicago shirt, surrounded by a lively crowd waving signs, with “Tonight the Main Event” splashed across the bottom. I’m really digging the way the illustration captures his attitude, from the clenched fist to the subtle smirk, all wrapped in that classic late-’80s LJN presentation.

Here’s a closer look at CM Punk’s face sculpt, and the goatee and slicked-back dark hair have that wonderfully simplified retro charm you’d expect from the LJN style. The shirt sleeves are pushed up just enough to show off the tattoo sleeves underneath, with warm brown and teal ink tones that contrast nicely against the white fabric.
