Cartoon Collection Preorders confirmed by Small Tiny Toy Store brining new MOTU Origins Cartoon Collection and Fan Favorites to the line
During SDCC 2024, there were some new figure names leaked that lined up with the MOTU Origins Cartoon Collection and Fan Favorite reissues. At the time, we were unsure of where the figures would line up to but we had some educated guesses. We’ve discovered new listings for the Cartoon Collection and Fan Favorite reissues mentioned in this article, which include Cartoon Collection versions of Catra, Tri-Klops, Frosta, Leech and Fan Favorites Buzz Off and Faker. A small but mighty online retailer, Small Tiny Toy Store (German) has been putting up preorders for these figures, confirming their inclusion in the line!

Invisible Skeletor
Although the listing for Skeletor does not say Cartoon Collection specifically, this figure was not part of the original Masters of the Universe vintage line so we still feel that a Cartoon Collection release makes the most sense.
Fan Favorite Reissues
As expected, Faker and Buzz will be released as Fan Favorite reissues.
July 27, 2024: Future Waves of Masters of the Universe Origins Figures Leaked
With the newest Masters of the Universe figures getting shown off in Mattel’s SDCC 2024 booth, new figures are also flowing from other sources! Thanks to yo_tengo_el_poder (and Mr. Home Arcade and masterversal_toyhunter for the heads up), we get a sneak peek at more upcoming figures for the MOTU Origins and Cartoon Collection lines! According to MOTU Origins leaks, Tri-Klops, Frosta, Invisible Skeletor, & Leech are Cartoon Collection & Faker & Buzz-Off will be reissues. According to his Instagram post,
The SDCC feature of the MOTU Origins Cartoon Collection line isn’t all that’s coming, as it’s leaked through dealers 6 more figures we haven’t seen yet:
– Invisible Skeletor
– Faker
– Tri-Klops
– Leech
– Frosta
– Buzz Off
Cartoon Collection Figures
We believe the Cartoon Collection figures on this list will be Tri-Klops, Frosta, Invisible Skeletor, and Leech.
Tri-Klops
We had reported back in February 2024 that Tri-Klops was coming to the Cartoon Collection so it is great to see him on this list!
Tri-Klops, Skeletor’s Evil Warrior that sees everything is coming to the MOTU Origins Cartoon Collection! Tri-Klops was one of Skeletor’s bumbling idiot henchmen that appeared in 10 episodes of the Filmation cartoon. According to an anonymous source, Tri-Klops will be coming to the Cartoon Collection in 2024 and we will likely also see him revealed during MOTU March Madness 2024. While a source as revealed that he is coming to the line, we are speculating as to what episode they will be paying homage to and what Filmation accessory he will come packed with. Also, given that the Cartoon Collection is pairing a Heroic Warrior with an Evil Warrior in each wave, only time will tell which figure Tri-Klops will be paired with. So let’s take a look at Tri-Klops coming to the MOTU Origins Cartoon Collection, what he might look like and what his potential episode specific accessory might be!
Here we can see how they based Tri-Klops on He-Man’s body, just like the action figure!
Frosta
With Catra just revealed for the Cartoon Collection, Frosta makes perfect sense as Mattel is starting to produce figures for the She-Ra and the Princess of Power line!
The great work of Eternal Customs givues us a glimpse of what Frosta could look like for the MOTU Origins Cartoon Collection!
Invisible Skeletor
We are not sure what Invisible Skeletor would like but our best guess would be that he’d be a clear reuse of the first release of Skeletor for the Cartoon Collection!
Leech
Leech would be an amazing addition to the Cartoon Collection as his Filmation form as already teased on MOTU Origins card art!
Here is what a Cartoon Collection concept could look like for Leech!
A cartoon style Leech was teased on Rokkon’s card art and it is great to see him on the list! We already have Leech in the MOTU Origins line, but what we don’t have yet is a Cartoon Collection Leech! This card back teases the Filmation version of Leech! Here we can see what is clearly illustrated a Filmation Style Leech and Hordak!
The Origins Leech original release came with two heads. The alternate head sculpt captures the look of the 1980’s Filmation carton perfectly and the details are stunning! To the left, we can see what Leech looked like in the Filmation cartoon series, and on the left is Leech with his new head sculpt, which does a brilliant job of bringing us that Filmation look in a vintage Origins style. This same head sculpt, but in a different scale that was used for the MOTU Classics Leech.
Here we can clearly the Filmation Leech and his orange colored shoulder pauldrons, and lighter colored skin tone. Also you will notice the green and black torso design, plus his orange belt. The Leech on the Rokkon illustration is clearly drawn to represent this version! So it is amazing that we are getting a Cartoon Collection tease on this card back art!
