Tri-Klops and Man-At-Arms MOTU Origins Movie In-Hand Images

Fresh in from Australia, AmigaCammy on YouTube came through with some great in-hand shots of the MOTU Origins Movie Tri-Klops and Man-At-Arms figures, and these are looking sharp. These two have been high on the radar for Origins collectors ever since the movie figure lineup was revealed, and seeing them out of packaging gives us a much better sense of what Mattel is delivering here. Tri-Klops has that unique movie armor design with his signature visor translated into a more grounded, cinematic aesthetic while still fitting right into the Origins style. Man-At-Arms looks solid as well, carrying that seasoned warrior presence with his updated movie look and a nice complement of accessories. The sculpt work on both figures does a great job bridging the gap between the new live-action designs and the classic Origins format we all know and love. Now, these are currently hitting shelves in Australia, and we’re hoping it won’t be long before they show up stateside. The MOTU Origins movie figures are retailer exclusives here in the U.S., split between Target and Walmart, so keep your eyes peeled during those store runs. For now, scroll through the images below and get a closer look at what’s coming our way.

Figure Details

Tri-Klops and Man-At-Arms face off here, and AmigaCammy does a great job framing the pair to show off how well the movie aesthetic translates into the Origins line. Tri-Klops sports olive drab tactical gear with camo-patterned pants and his signature visor, while Man-At-Arms is loaded up in copper and green segmented armor.

You get a solid rear view of both figures, and there’s a lot to take in. Tri-Klops has a studded skirt piece wrapping around the back of his waist, while Man-At-Arms features a bulky backpack unit with recessed vents sculpted into his copper chest armor.

AmigaCammy really gets in close here, and you can pick out details like the riveted texture on the belt buckle, the segmented strips running down the loin skirt, and the snakeskin-like pattern across the pants. The visor wraps tightly around the head with a small triangular emblem at the center, while the gold-ringed harness straps cross over a dark chest piece covered in narrow sculpted grooves.

Man-At-Arms gets a detailed close-up showing the layered sculpt work across his copper chest plate, with recessed panel lines, raised emblems, and segmented shoulder guards stacked with ridged plating. His blue helmet has a clean sculpt with rectangular vents along the sides, green ear covers, and a stern face with a thick mustache peeking out beneath the brim.

AmigaCammy staged a full battle scene here, with Spikor lunging forward swinging his mace, He-Man mounted on Battle Cat with sword raised, and Tri-Klops and Man-At-Arms holding their ground on the opposite side. Battle Cat’s crimson helmet and green-and-yellow striped body make a strong centerpiece, while the oversized Power Sword prop laid across the scene ties the whole MOTU display together.

You can see the clash up close here, with Spikor squared up against Battle Cat’s snarling open maw, fangs bared and helmet horns jutting forward, while He-Man rides atop swinging his sword overhead. Man-At-Arms holds position just off to the side, and a couple of additional figures further back fill out the skirmish line nicely.

Man-At-Arms stands his ground with pistol drawn while Tri-Klops takes aim with his rifle from a distance, the two positioned on opposite sides of the charging Battle Cat. The spread between them suggests a coordinated pincer formation, each covering a different lane of the fight.

Man-At-Arms braces goes for his blaster while Tri-Klops lines up a shot with his rifle from across the scene, and the tension is all about who pulls the trigger first.
