Zangief looks absolutely massive here, with deep red trunks, matching red wrestling boots, and those signature gold and red wristbands all nailing his classic arcade design. I like how the sculpted body hair on his chest and shins adds a ton of character, and those scattered scars across his skin are a nice touch that keeps his look true to the source material.

Here’s a closer look at Zangief from behind, and the sculpt work across his back is impressive, with layered skin folds and deeply carved scar lines trailing across his shoulders and upper arms. The translucent yellow and green fireball effect piece fits over his fist with small orange flame tendrils curling outward, and that green energy core at the center gives it a great sense of depth.

Zangief’s face sculpt is full of personality, with piercing blue eyes, furrowed brows, and gritted teeth framed by a thick sculpted brown beard and that signature mohawk tuft on top. The yellow studded belt separating his trunks from bare skin is a clean design element, and you can see how well the red and gold color scheme ties everything together from the wristbands down to the ankle bands and boots.

Zangief comes equipped with a solid spread of extras, including a pair of open-palmed grappling hands, the fireball effect piece, a green interchangeable hand, and an alternate head sculpt with a wider, more aggressive expression. Something I appreciate here is how the alternate portrait captures a different intensity, with his mouth opened wider into a full yell compared to the default head’s clenched teeth.

Sporting his red trunks and gold studded belt, Zangief has real heft to him, and that exaggerated proportional sculpt captures his oversized frame perfectly. The white lacing sculpted into his red boots is a subtle detail I hadn’t noticed before, adding just a little more texture to an already loaded figure.

The spread fingers on those grappling hands are doing a lot of work here, with each digit individually sculpted and slightly curled to sell the grab. You can see how the red star-shaped scars on his shoulder and thigh mirror each other, a small design detail that ties the figure’s markings together across the body.

The alternate head sculpt is swapped in here, and that wider, open-mouthed expression paired with those outstretched grappling hands creates a great moment. I noticed that the ankle bands have the same gold and red layering as the wristbands, keeping the color coordination consistent across all four points.

Zangief’s clenched fists are tucked tight here, and the sculpted brown fur tufts at his shins look even more pronounced from this low angle. I’m really digging how the scattered scar markings across his arms and legs feel varied in size and direction rather than copy-pasted, giving each limb its own weathered story.

Zangief’s fists are up tight against his face here, and the way the mohawk tuft peeks just above those massive forearms is a fun compositional detail that sells his sheer size. The silver studs on his belt have a nice raised, rounded sculpt that gives them a metallic quality against the flat gold of the band itself.

The red lacing detail on his boots comes through even better from this angle, with each individual cross-stitch sculpted into the surface rather than just lined on. It’s cool to see how the gold ankle bands sit snugly just above the boot tops, creating a clean color break between the red leather and the skin tone of his calves.

The sculpt on his forearms shows just how much tension they packed into this figure, with veins and tendons carved into the surface that you really only notice up close. One detail worth pointing out is the interior of his open mouth, where they’ve sculpted individual upper and lower teeth against a dark recess, adding real depth to that fierce expression.

Zangief’s chest hair sculpt really pops from this side view, with each tuft of dark brown fur carved in sharp, spiky clusters that have real dimension to them. The yellow studded belt catches your eye with its silver rivets running the full circumference, and his red boot shows off that quilted texture across the upper portion that I hadn’t picked up on in earlier looks.
