Dreadnoks, mount up! I have been waiting for this one for a long time. Zanya is one of those characters who holds a really special place in the Dreadnok corner of the G.I. Joe universe, and seeing her finally get the Classified Series treatment alongside her very own Chameleon Swamp Skier is the kind of release that makes collecting this line so rewarding. For those who might not know, Zanya is Zartan’s daughter, and she first appeared in the Devil’s Due G.I. Joe comics before making her way into toy form during the 25th Anniversary line. She’s cunning, fierce, and every bit the Dreadnok her father raised her to be. Getting her updated for the Classified Series with a full vehicle pack-in feels like Hasbro really understands what collectors have been asking for. So let’s take a look at the Zanya and Dreadnok Chameleon (Swamp Skier) in hand review! Right out of the box, this set is packed. Zanya comes with 10 accessories, including an alternate masked head, helmet, goggles, glasses, two alternate hands, a machete, a shotgun, a pistol, and a backpack holster. That’s a lot of display options for one figure, and swapping between her unmasked and masked looks gives you two very different vibes on the shelf. The glasses and goggles layering over the helmet is a fun touch that lets you really customize her appearance. The Chameleon itself is a fantastic update of the classic Dreadnok vehicle. The adjustable throttle handles, swiveling front skis, and rear shocks give it a sense of rugged functionality that fits the Dreadnok aesthetic perfectly. I love the hidden storage compartments under the seat and steering column. Of course the Dreadnoks would have spots to stash contraband. It’s such a fun, character-appropriate detail. Zanya looks right at home on this thing, and posing her tearing through some swampy terrain with a machete in hand is exactly the kind of scene that makes you want to build a whole Dreadnok shelf. I like how the illustrator leaned into the aggression here, with her dark eye makeup, bared teeth, and the Dreadnok skull emblem on her chest all coming through with real intensity against the splashing water backdrop.

The opposite side panel features Zanya rendered in a cold blue-toned portrait, her braided hair framing a fierce, snarling expression with Cobra insignias flanking her below. Through the clear plastic window on the left, you get a peek at the figure still in her tray, with the tan and olive tones of her gear offering a nice contrast to the deep blue artwork dominating the panel.

Here’s a closer look at Zanya still sitting in her plastic tray with all the accessories tucked in around her. She’s wearing a cropped black top with a red and white Dreadnok skull graphic on the chest, paired with olive cargo pants, black boots with silver toe caps, and layered mesh sleeves in a reddish-brown tone that break up the darker elements nicely.

Here’s a closer look at the accessory spread laid out on its own, and it’s a solid haul. The alternate masked head features a white hockey-style mask with red streaks running down from the forehead and a sculpted green braided mohawk on top, while the holster has a great textured leather-like sculpt and the pistol sports a two-tone silver and dark gray finish that sets it apart from the all-black shotgun and machete.

The Dreadnok Chameleon Swamp Skier has a lime-green angular hull with gray piping along the rear section, black triple-runner ski assemblies at each corner, and a brown ribbed seat cushion running down the center.

The Chameleon has a lift-up storage compartment flipped up, revealing a recessed cavity inside the green chassis where gear can be stashed. A black rifle rests across the edge of the open compartment while the hinged panel is raised high, clearly showing how the section of the vehicle opens to access the hidden storage area beneath. I really like seeing this feature in action because it shows the interior space built into the vehicle, turning that top panel into a functional lid that exposes the internal compartment for storing weapons or equipment.

Chameleon (Swamp Skier) Details

The Dreadnok Chameleon Swamp Skier has a great profile from this side, with the olive green body sitting atop a complex undercarriage of silver exhaust pipes, black mounting struts, and sculpted mechanical detail that gives the whole vehicle a real cobbled-together, outlaw feel. The front skis feature swiveling joints with textured black runners, while the rear skis sit on sculpted shock absorbers, and you can spot what looks like a mounted cannon barrel jutting out from beneath the chassis.

The left side profile of the Dreadnok Chameleon reveals a small red taillight detail set into the rear quarter panel, adding a surprisingly finished touch to what is otherwise a rough, utilitarian design. You can see how the silver piping wraps around from the undercarriage and curves up along the rear body panel, connecting to what looks like a muffler or exhaust port that tucks neatly behind the rear ski assembly.

Here’s a closer look at the Dreadnok Chameleon’s cockpit area from above, and I like how the steering column features a black instrument panel with pink-accented gauges and readouts that give it a scrappy, jury-rigged control setup. The throttle handles extend upward with ribbed grips, and just behind the column you can spot what appears to be a multicolor dial and a couple of small silver-framed indicator panels recessed into the olive green body, right next to the ribbed gray rear engine housing.

Here’s a closer look at the Dreadnok Chameleon’s rear area, and you can see how the olive green body panel features recessed geometric line work and raised cross-bracing detail that sells the improvised, bolted-together construction. The ribbed gray cylinder mounted along the top of the body looks like some kind of intake or auxiliary fuel tank, and the black crosshatch-textured foot peg sits just below the chassis, giving Zanya a solid mounting point between the front and rear ski assemblies.

The under-seat storage compartment on the Dreadnok Chameleon flips open to reveal a surprisingly deep cavity with clean molded walls, perfect for stashing Zanya’s pistol or machete during transit. I like how the hinge feels integrated into the seat’s sculpt rather than tacked on, keeping the vehicle’s silhouette clean when everything is closed up.

Here’s a closer look at the Dreadnok Chameleon’s front storage compartment tucked beneath the steering column, and it opens up to reveal another stash space separate from the under-seat cavity. The dashboard area behind the windshield cowl features a small multi-color instrument cluster with red, blue, and white readouts, and the compartment walls have a smooth, recessed finish that looks like it could snugly fit the pistol or a pair of Zanya’s goggles.

Zanya’s not the only Dreadnok who looks at home on the Chameleon, and here you can see Zartan taking the vehicle for a spin with his brown hooded cowl, blue chest armor, and layered dark brown and navy leg guards making him feel like a natural fit alongside the olive and black color scheme of the Swamp Skier. His skull-emblem belt buckle and spiked shoulder armor pick up on the same outlaw aesthetic baked into the Chameleon’s design, and the crossbow he’s carrying adds a nice complementary silhouette next to the vehicle’s front-mounted cannon.

Zartan looks right at home on the Dreadnok Chameleon, with his dark brown hooded cowl draping over layered blue chest armor and those heavily textured maroon pants covered in angular navy knee guards and shin plates. The black gauntlet on his forearm has some nice segmented sculpt work, and the silver skull medallion on his belt ties him to the Dreadnok identity without overplaying it.

Zanya’s cropped navy blue top peeks out from beneath Zartan’s heavy shoulder armor as he takes the handlebars, and the yellow graffiti-style Dreadnok tag on the Chameleon’s front cowl is a fun detail that ties the vehicle’s personality to the gang. You can see how the front-mounted cannon barrel extends just past the olive nose of the Swamp Skier, sitting low enough to clear the rider’s sightline while still looking appropriately menacing.

Something I appreciate here is how the large black backpack holster sits flush against Zanya’s back without throwing off her center of gravity on the Chameleon, and the brown cowl-like helmet with its sculpted ridged texture adds a layer of rugged headgear that feels distinctly Dreadnok. The yellow graffiti tag on the front cowl pops against the olive body as the vehicle’s twin front skis splay outward beneath the mounted cannon, and the silver engine block catches just enough contrast against all the surrounding black framework to keep the undercarriage visually interesting.

From the rear, you can see how the Dreadnok Chameleon’s olive green rear panel features a recessed circular fuel cap and vertical ventilation slits that add functional detail to an otherwise flat surface. The gray rear engine housing sits between the splayed rear skis, and the silver piping running along each side converges neatly into the black framework beneath the seat.
