Transformers Studio Series 2027 Wave 1 Official Images Revealed
Massive thanks to linkinparkirony over at TFW2005 for sharing the official images of Transformers Studio Series 2027 Wave 1, and to my good friend Chris for the heads-up! We saw most of these figures during Hasbro’s Transformers panel at NYCC 2026, so it is great to finally get a better look at the figures, alternate modes, and packaging. I am super pumped about this wave because I love all of the Transformers movies, and Ironhide and the updates to Ratchet are among my favorites. We covered the original reveals in our Transformers NYCC 2026 panel recap. Thanks again to linkinparkirony at TFW2005 for posting the new photography.
Transformers (2007)
Ironhide
Ironhide represents the original 2007 Transformers movie in this assortment. His dark design is quite different from the brighter Autobots elsewhere in the wave, and the official photography gives us a look at both his robot and truck modes.
He’s is shown in robot mode beneath his GMC truck alternate mode. The robot has bulky dark armor, blue highlights, and equipment mounted around his shoulders and arms.

Autobot Jazz
Jazz is another character from the original 2007 movie, and it is great to see him alongside the other live-action Autobots in this wave. The new photos give us a much clearer look at his robot design and silver sports car mode. Jazz has silver body panels, blue-tinted windows across his chest, and wheel components on his legs.

Jazz transforms into a silver sports car with dark wheels, a blue-tinted windshield, and sculpted vents along the hood and sides.

The back of Jazz’s package shows his silver robot and sports car modes with a conversion graphic and character scene text.

The front of the Jazz package shows the silver robot figure against a blue insert, with character artwork and his sports car mode printed on the side.

Autobot Ratchet
Ratchet is one of the figures I am most excited about in this wave. I love the Transformers movies, and the updates to Ratchet are a particular highlight for me. The new images show his familiar rescue vehicle design alongside a robot mode that is worth a closer look. Ratchet’s window-box packaging shows the yellow-green Autobot figure, with his movie-inspired rescue vehicle and robot artwork on the side panel.

Ratchet appears in robot mode with bright yellow-green armor, gray mechanical components, and a circular saw accessory mounted on one arm.

Ratchet transforms into a yellow-green rescue SUV with black grille protection, roof-mounted lights, dark windows, and rescue markings along the doors.

The back of Ratchet’s packaging shows his robot and rescue SUV modes together with the conversion diagram and scene information.

The Transformers: The Movie (1986)
Swoop
The Dinobots are getting some representation in this wave with Swoop, based on his appearance in the original 1986 animated movie. This release brings another familiar character from the classic film into the Studio Series lineup, complete with his recognizable red swords. Swoop has a blue torso, red head crest, silver limbs, and gold accents, with folded wings visible behind his shoulders. He holds two red swords.

Another view of Swoop highlights his silver wing panels, gold-tipped shoulder details, and the red swords held separately in each hand.

Autobot Wheelie
Wheelie is also joining the assortment, giving collectors another character from the 1986 movie to add to their displays. The figure includes his signature slingshot, a nice callback to his introduction in the film when he encounters Grimlock and the other Dinobots on Quintessa.
Wheelie appears in robot mode with orange limbs, a peach-colored chest, a gray face, and blue eyes. His slingshot is raised in one hand.

Wheelie’s futuristic orange vehicle mode has a rounded blue canopy, gray wheels, and a pointed front end.

The back of Wheelie’s packaging shows his robot and vehicle modes and a 23-step conversion graphic. The scene description references his encounter with Grimlock.

The front of Wheelie’s box displays the orange and peach robot figure alongside artwork of Wheelie and his futuristic vehicle mode.

Allicon
The Allicon is another fun addition from the 1986 movie, particularly for collectors looking to recreate the scenes on Quintessa. These creatures were among the guards encountered by Kup and Hot Rod, and their inclusion helps fill out the supporting cast beyond the Autobots and Decepticons.
Allicon appears in robot mode with green limbs, purple joints, spiked gray shoulder armor, and a long spear. A curved green blade is raised in the other hand, which is his tail!

In creature mode, the Allicon has a long green tail, spiked gray forearms, and a mechanical reptilian head with a purple crest and open, tooth-lined jaws.

The back of the Allicon packaging shows both modes, the spear accessory, and the 14-step conversion graphic. The scene description references Allicons intercepting Kup and Hot Rod on Quintessa.

The front packaging displays the green and purple Allicon through the window, alongside illustrations of its robot and creature modes.

Transformers: The Last Knight (2017)
Megatron
Megatron might have the coolest surprise in the entire assortment. While the figure recreates his appearance from Transformers: The Last Knight, Hasbro has included a couple of details that make this release particularly interesting. First, there is the hose that connects his cannon to his body, just like in the movie. It is a small detail, but one that I appreciate seeing carried over to the figure. The bigger surprise is that Megatron’s weapons and accessories combine to form a dragon companion inspired by unused concept art from the film. Originally, Megatron was supposed to transform into a dragon in Transformers 5, but that idea was eventually abandoned in favor of his Cybertronian jet mode. It is pretty cool that Hasbro found a way to incorporate that unused concept into the figure rather than leaving it behind entirely.
Megatron’s Cybertronian jet mode has swept wings, a long pointed nose, twin rear engines, and layered dark metallic panels with bronze accents.

Megatron’s robot mode features dark silver armor with bronze trim and red mechanical details. His cannon and large shield are mounted on opposite arms.

A second robot-mode view shows Megatron holding his broad-bladed axe while the shield and cannon. The sculpt includes layered chest armor and angular armored legs.

The back of Megatron’s packaging shows the robot and jet modes, his axe and shield, and the dragon-like configuration formed from his equipment. The conversion graphic lists 24 steps.

The front of Megatron’s box displays the figure through the window with canno alongside it, plus artwork of Megatron and his jet mode.

Transformers One (2024)
Shockwave
Rounding out the assortment is Shockwave from Transformers One. This version is based on his appearance in the 2024 animated movie, giving collectors another member of the Cybertronian High Guard to add to their Studio Series collection.
Shockwave transforms into a Cybertronian vehicle, and the figure captures the character’s distinctive design from the film, including his single eye and arm-mounted cannon.
The front of Shockwave’s box displays his purple and silver robot mode, with a single yellow eye and magenta chest panel. Artwork of the character and his Cybertronian vehicle mode runs along the side.

Shockwave’s purple Cybertronian vehicle mode has a broad, low body, gray mechanical details, a magenta front panel, and a large circular rear component.

Shockwave’s robot mode features a single yellow eye, a wide magenta chest panel, silver thighs, and a cannon built into one forearm.

The back of Shockwave’s packaging shows his robot and Cybertronian vehicle modes and lists a 28-step conversion.
