Collectors hunting for the elusive Tiger Force Outback GI Joe Classified Series figure know all too well the frustration of watching it pop in and out of stock at Target.com for what feels like an eternity. For months, this sought-after release has been a game of timing and luck, with listings appearing without warning and disappearing just as quickly. At the time of publishing, the figure is currently showing as “In Stock,” offering a fleeting chance for fans to finally add it to their collections. However, given the pattern we’ve seen, it’s likely that by the time you’re reading this, the listing may have flipped back to “Sold Out” once again, continuing the cycle that has made tracking down Tiger Force Outback almost as challenging as any Cobra mission.

Target Exclusive Outback
The Tiger Force Outback GI Joe Classified Series packaging features the figure prominently displayed in the center against a blue background, with his array of accessories neatly arranged around him, including weapons, a knife, flashlight, shovel, backpack, and rope. The lower left corner displays the bold Tiger Force emblem with its yellow and black tiger head graphic, while the GI Joe Classified Series logo spans across the bottom of the box. Beneath the logo, the character’s full name, “Stuart ‘Outback’ Selkirk,” is printed in white text. On the right side of the packaging, character artwork showcases Outback’s rugged, bearded face and blue headband, rendered in a painted style that complements the figure’s weathered, battle-ready look. The top right corner contains the age recommendation and a safety warning, maintaining the clean yet eye-catching presentation typical of the Classified Series line.

Tiger Force Outback is depicted navigating a dense jungle environment, armed with a rifle and geared up with tactical accessories as he advances through foliage, rocks, and moss-covered terrain. In the second scene, he engages in close combat under pouring rain, wielding a knife and small shovel as he confronts a Cobra Viper, who is armed and on the defensive, capturing the intensity and grit of a battlefield encounter.

Vintage Tiger Force European Outback
Personally, this is my favorite version of Outback and I used to have this one in my collection but regrettably sold it back in 2019. A momentary a lapse of reason perhaps? This 1990 version of Outback is a European exclusive that came out in 1990 along with six other Tiger Force figures. Outback came with a black Hekler & Koch rifle, a brown web belt, a green flashlight, and a brown survival backpack.
