She-Ra Swift Wind MOTU Origins 40th Anniversary Potential Preorder
Fans eager to add the MOTU Origins 40th Anniversary She-Ra and Swift Wind 2-pack to their collections now have a date to circle on the calendar. First revealed at San Diego Comic Con 2025 during Mattel’s design panel, the Princess of Power and her majestic steed were confirmed for a September 2025 release. Things have gotten a wee bit confusing as The Mattel Creations launch calendar has been updated for the month of the September and they added a Masters of the Universe Drop for not only September 24, 2025 but there is now a new drop that has been added for September 26, 2025. We are hoping that one of the dates is a mistake and while release dates can shift, this is the most current information available. Typically, MOTU figure drops happen on Wednesdays with Members Only access happening 24 hours before. If there are two MOTU drop dates for September, it opens the door for Sting-Or or Dragstor or maybe even Eldor (who we believe is the outstanding Powers of Grayskull figure for this year).

Box Art Reveal
Roy Juarez has officially unveiled the packaging for the newly revealed Cartoon Collection She-Ra and Swift Wind Mattel Creations exclusive, set to drop in September 2025. This upcoming release celebrates the iconic duo with stunning box art featuring the incredible talent and artistry of simoneckert.art. With this reveal, fans get their first look at how She-Ra and her majestic steed will be presented in this highly anticipated offering from the Masters of the Universe Cartoon Collection. You can see a beautiful 360 view of the packaging below!
She-Ra & Swift Wind
The front of the She-Ra & Swift Wind Cartoon Collection box features rich gold ornamental detailing with sweeping, wing-like designs surrounding a large magenta jewel at the center. Inside the jewel is the white 40th anniversary She-Ra emblem. Below it, the text reads “She-Ra & Swift Wind” in gold, with the Princess of Power logo at the bottom.
The back of the box continues the ornate theme with a gold and bronze color scheme and a central green jewel. The same 40th anniversary emblem is featured prominently. Below it is the following text: “For the Honor of Grayskull!
Celebrate the 40th Anniversary
of She-Ra: Princess of Power with
Masters of the Universe Origins
Cartoon Collection She-Ra and
Swift Wind, featuring the iconic
hero of Etheria and her noble
steed as retro-style figures.”

These images show the actual She-Ra and Swift Wind Cartoon Collection packaging from alternate angles. The front view highlights the sculpted illusion of flowing golden designs surrounding the magenta jewel centerpiece, while the angled shot of the back showcases the intricate detailing and embossed elements surrounding the 40th anniversary emblem and descriptive text. Both views confirm the ornate, premium presentation of the physical box.

The inner packaging features She-Ra and Swift Wind displayed in a dynamic pose inside a clear window box. Swift Wind is fully visible with vibrant blue, pink, and yellow wings, orange hooves, and a gold horn, while She-Ra is posed riding her steed with her sword raised. Behind the figures, the illustrated backdrop shows She-Ra in battle, flying through an explosive sky on Swift Wind, with dramatic lighting and enemy ships adding action to the scene.

She-Ra and Swift Wind SDCC 2025 Reveal
One of the most magical moments from Mattel’s MOTU panel was the official reveal of She-Ra and Swift Wind joining the Origins Cartoon Collection. This duo marks a highly anticipated expansion into the Princess of Power side of the MOTU universe, now reimagined with the animated styling of the Filmation inspired line. With this release, fans can look forward to a faithful translation of She-Ra’s animated appearance, complete with vibrant colors, cartoon-accurate design, and a heroic new energy for the Origins lineup.
