A few days ago, Mattel released a teaser image of upcoming Masterverse and Origins figures that they will be revealing this coming week. Great news for fans to let us know that the line is still continuing! If you have not seen our Masters of the Universe teased figure card art roundup, I highly suggest taking a look at this as there could be a heck of a lot more figures coming our way! With the silhouette image Mattel teased us with, fans were left to decipher which characters might be coming our way. We did speculate on which characters we thought were in the image. There was one character however that there was debate on all over social media, and in looking at it closer, we here at Toy Habits now have an update to our theory!

Masters of the Universe Masterverse and Origins Teaser Reveals

During Power-Con 2021, Mattel released an image of all the sub-lines that would be included in the Masterverse line of figures. In studying that further, one of those sublines caught our eye and now seems to make more sense on the one teased silhouette image we couldn’t totally nail down. Below are all the sub-lines that are includes in the Masterverse Line of figures and their logos.

The new sublines include:

  • Masters of the Universe Revelation
  • New Eternia
  • Princess of Power
  • He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (Netflix CGI)

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe Sub Line

The He-Man and the Masters of the Universe sub line is the most obscure out of the Masterverse lines. Mattel did not go into detail but the logo is the same as the one used in the Netflix CGI He-Man and the Masters of the Universe series so one could assume this is a subline for making characters that appear in that style as Masterverse figures. This logo could also be used as a new moniker for the brand and might also be used to signify Masterverse style figures for the rest of the line that does not appear in the Revelation series or the New Eternia sub brand.

Masterverse Beast Man

Originally, we thought the silhouette image below could be either a 200x or New Eternia Masterverse style Beast Man. But in studying him closer and seeing as Mattel has He-Man and the Masters of the Universe Netflix CGI as part of their Masterverse subline, the silhouette image seems to make more sense now. The forearm, shin armor and shape of the upper body and head from the outline are clear indicators that match up with the the CGI style Beast Man, as shown in the images below.

Beast Man is depicted in a powerful stance, with his muscular frame hunched forward and his jagged, spiked armor adding to his imposing presence. His demonic-looking face features glowing red eyes and sharp teeth beneath a horned, orange-and-gold helmet-like crest. One arm is clad in massive spiked armor, while the other wields a fiery, glowing whip in mid-swing, giving a sense of motion and aggression. The combination of dark armor, glowing energy, and beastly features makes him look feral and dangerous.

  1. Huh. This makes sense given the sub-lines they announced at the start that included the CGI show. I also didn’t think of this version as an immediate option because the He-Man silhouette of what looks like a 200X Origins version. Either way, excited to get a bunch of different versions in the new Masterverse bucks.
