Full List GI Joe Classified Series Pipeline Reveals
Affiliate links in post. See Disclosure Policy.
We keep a record of the name only pipeline reveals from the Joe Team. For Yo Joe June 2022, Hasbro changed the way products were revealed in what they called ‘pipeline’ reveals, which are verbal announcements of GI Joe Classified figures. The pipeline reveals are different from the digital renders in that they literally are names of figures coming to the GI Joe Classified Series line in in the coming years. Starting June 1, 2022, Hasbro started these pipeline reveals and they have continued do this in all of their FanStreams and they sometimes sneak them in to social media posts. Since we only have figures names, we’ll include concepts from the customizing community as there are many people out there who are just as talented (or more) that the figure designers! The”name only” reveals have been announced on several FranStreams, Cons, and social media and we will continually update this article with reveals so check back often!
Current Pipeline Name Only Reveals
This list covers current mainline and retro carded GI Joe Classified Series name only reveals.
July 25, 2025: SDCC Name Only Reveals Lifeline, Hit N Run, Night VIper, Big Lob, Iceberg
During the panel at SDCC 2025, the Joe Team also dropped a fresh wave of name-only reveals that’s sure to excite longtime fans and collectors. Joining the Classified Series roster in the future will be Lifeline, Night Viper, Big Lob, Iceberg, and Hit N Run. While no images or renders were shown, these character announcements offer a thrilling glimpse into what’s ahead for the line as it continues to dig deeper into the rich legacy of G.I. Joe.

Hit N Run
Hit & Run, whose real name is Brent Scott (Bryan Scott in the UK Action Force series), is the G.I. Joe team’s light infantryman with the rank of corporal E-4. Born in Sioux City, Iowa, he was first released as an action figure in 1988, later appearing in Europe in 1991 in Tiger Force colors, and again in 25th anniversary style as part of the “Assault on Cobra Island” 7-pack. In the UK version, he hails from Basildon in Essex, England. His specialties are infantry and mountaineering, and his backstory notes he was orphaned at age three by a drunk driver, raised in a county institution, and became known for escaping by climbing sheer walls and running miles at night, which he insisted was just “practice.” Upon leaving state custody, he immediately joined the Army. In Marvel’s G.I. Joe comics, he debuted in issue No. 80, helping thwart Cobra’s land grab on Cobra Island, later engaging in hostage rescue missions—one a Cobra ruse and another a real standoff with criminals—and fighting alongside Tunnel Rat, Stalker, and Scoop against Iron Grenadiers in Sierra Gordo. In Devil’s Due continuity, he returned as part of the Joe team sent to invade Cobra Island during the group’s second civil war.

Here’s a killer concept of Hit & Run by Stronox Customs that really nails the look of a vintage G.I. Joe figure reimagined in 6-inch scale. He’s fully geared up in camo fatigues with black boots, tactical harness, and rope accessories, complete with face paint that captures his classic commando vibe. One setup shows him standing tall with his rifle slung at his side, helmet and red goggles in place, and a satchel in hand, while the other shot has him kneeling with his helmet off, rope in hand, ready for a climb. The details and paintwork make him feel like a perfect Classified Series version of his classic 1988 figure.

Big Lob
Big Lob made his debut in G.I. Joe: The Movie, where he was voiced by Brad Sanders. He was introduced as part of the “Rawhides,” a team of fresh recruits that included Falcon, Chuckles, Jinx, Law & Order, and Tunnel Rat, all trained under Beach Head. Despite his presence in the film, Big Lob didn’t receive an action figure or comic book appearance until 2010, when he was finally released as a G.I. Joe Club exclusive. In the America’s Elite comic series, he was noted as a reserve member of the team and shown on a deployment map during the “World War III” storyline, where he was engaged in the fight against Cobra Commander’s global forces. His specialties are listed as Infantry/Grenadier, with Public Affairs Specialist as his secondary role.

Here we get a look at YoJoeARAH’s custom concept of Big Lob in the GI Joe Classified Series scale, paired up with his vintage figure for comparison. The larger figure is decked out in a bright red tank top with his signature number 14, green combat pants, and tan lace-up boots. He’s kitted out with a belt loaded with pouches, a holstered sidearm, grenades strapped across his chest, and a huge launcher in hand. From the back, you can see the shoulder strap securing his gear and a closer look at the sculpted details on his pants and boots. The vintage figure stands right alongside him, carrying a rifle and sporting the same recognizable uniform and number 14 chest print, showing off how this concept translates the classic look into modern Classified Series style.

Graduated to Digital Renders or Figures
Sci-Fi
Stronox Customs has toned down the neon green of the figure, which is a welcome change! His uniform has nods to the vintage figure design with the chest armor and helmet details with the black visor. I love the modernized laser rifle and the backpack with more colors and electronics that could supply the power to his laser rifle!

Intricuded in 1986, Sci-Fi stands out as the first “neon” Joe with a futuristic uniform that feels out of place among the G.I. Joe team. His one-piece jumpsuit and bright design contrast sharply with his peers. However, his redeeming feature is his laser rifle, which is bulky, rugged, and far more believable than previous G.I. Joe weapons. The rifle includes a laser sight and a sizable backpack, suggesting it can generate the power needed for a concentrated beam of light.

Night Viper
Night-Vipers are trained to operate in complete darkness, with equipment designed for stealth, including helmets with night vision, infrared detection, and sound amplifiers. Their suits reduce infrared signatures, making them nearly invisible to radar. While they have the advantage of “see first, eliminate first,” their eyes are highly sensitive to light, making them vulnerable if exposed, though finding them is a challenge. Stronox Customs creates an amazing and highly detailed GI Joe Classified Series concept. If we were to get anything close to this for a figure.

He’s translated the features from the vintage figure we know and love so well, including the night vision monocular, the updated rifle with night scope, and the backpack with small antennae. He even made sure to add his skull patch on his left arm!

Introduced in 1989, this low light specialist class eschewed the traditional blues of Cobra for a black and green uniform and included a shotgun weapon with a night scope, night-vision goggles, and a compact backpack with an antenna.

SGT. Slaughter & Mercer 2-Pack
The prototype images shows the Sarge in a beret in a uniform with the sleeves cut off. He also comes with his standard head sculpt with his classic hat. His baton and whistle are also shown as we are sure he’ll be coming with more accessories to be revealed (aka leaked) later.

Mercer
Mercer was announced coming with SGT. Slaughter as a Renegades 2-pack!

Here comes another early G.I. Joe Classified Series figure, this time featuring Mercer, one of Slaughter’s Renegades coming by the way of Shaw Liú that was posted in the GI Joe Classified Community on Facebook! Up until Toy Fair 2025, the GI Joe leaks were flowing and it seems like they’ve resumed with this latest prototype of the Mercer’s upper torso. The tale tell signs that this figure is Mercer is the holster on the left side of the torso plus the circle directly above it. Not much is known about the context of this figure so that got us thinking that they could be working on developing SGT. Slaughter’s Renegades and Mercer is the first one out of the gate OR could they be working on a future 3-pack, which would also feature Taurus and Red Dog?

Will the figure be Sunbow inspired? All signs are pointing to yes as there is a circle on his left part of his chest that could be reserved for a “no Cobra” logo, as it appeared in the GI Joe animated cartoon.

Monkeywrench
Monkeywrench comes with a pleathora of weapons, s scarf, and an extra head sculpt. They also added, from their Instagram post, “The newesssst member of the winning team: Dreadnok Monkeywrench demonstrated he’s the type of scum that rises to the top in joining Zartan’s Band of Viperssss. He comes equipped with his ssssignature trident harpoon and more for doing unprovoked mayhem.”

Monkeywrench is one of the few remaining Dreadnocks to be released. With the addition of Monkeywrench, we will complete the main group of Dreadnocks, at least in my head cannon. For this one, we are going to take a look at an incredible custom by Stronox customs. This custom version of Moneywrench looks amazing. We could imagine the Classified Series version looking similar. I hope they just mold his sunglasses to his face or make a better way for them to hold on. Also Monkeywrench has an incredible bandoleer full of grenades which looks really cool.

Also Money Wrench is wearing his signature red vest and blue jeans with red bandanas on them. From the leg photo, we saw a leg with blue jeans and a red bandana on the calf. Therefore, it’s most definitely Money Wrench!

The original vintage A Real American Hero Money Wrench was released in 1986. He had his signature sunglasses, red vest and blue jeans. This is a classic dreadnock figure and I can’t wait to add him to my Dreadnock display on my Classified shelf!

Major Bludd
This version of Major Bludd looks very similar to his Cobra Island release and even comes with the same packout, which includes his dog tags, helmet, backpack, and array of weapons. They also added, from their Instagram post, “My subordinates are always sssseeking to improve themselves to curry my favor as evidenced by the return of my favorite mercenary Major Bludd, now with pinlessss arms and legs.”

Major Bludd’s head sculpt has surfaced, thanks to Shaw Li via thefullforcepodcast on Instagram. You can clearly see Cobra Commander’s Battle Armor helmet with the large Cobra logo on his forehead. Next to him is Major Bludd, but his eye patch looks very modern and not like the original vintage figure.

Battle Armor Cobra Commander
Battle Armor Cobra Commander comes with an alternate head sculpt, his classic backpack, firearm, a pet Iguana, and extra hands. They also added, from their Instagram post, “Saving the best for last of course, you get me, Cobra Commander with Combat Armor. This ssssinister figure of yours truly includes alternate versions of my striking visage as well as my precious pet iguana Sssserpentor. Maybe you’ve heard of him?”

Along with the leaked leg pic, we also saw some images of his prototype head sculpt, along with Major Bludd. Here we can see a side profile of Battle Armor Cobra Commander’s head, and his leg in a painted prototype sample.

Snake Eyes v4
Officially revealed by thegreattonino, “Snake Eyes is always a welcome addition to my GIJ shelf. This v4 was such an awesome departure from his all black looks too. This guys got a whole lotta nostalgia for me.”

Retro Card GI Joe Trooper
Officially revealed by thegreattonino, “Very excited to bring some Joe troops to the line. Swappable head neck and hands along with helmet for the Joe fans to troop build to their hearts content. Too often Cobra gets all the troop building fun.” Comes with swappable heads and hands. A great trooper builder.

Retro Card Back BAT
Officially revealed by thegreattonino, “Love bringing back their classic looks. You’ll see some differences between this and the original mainline release. Yellow is a brighter pop and the chest shields now in clear.” Chest plate is clear and chest plate colors match the vintage ARAH figure. The yellows are much brighter as well. They include some blast effects as well.

MMS with Hawk
Officially revealed by thegreattonino, “Stoked to get that younger look for Hawk and the Vamp is going to look SICK with the MMS towing behind it. This set feels so GIJ to me.” We finally see a repaint of the HMS and this will be something to tow behind the VAMP! Hawk is a younger version of the character. It will be an Amazon exclusive.

Cold Slither
The set comes with no fewer than 29 accessories, including various musical instruments like a guitar, bass, keytar, and drum set. Even the packaging is designed to recreate the Springfield Theater.

Here are the digital renders of Zartan and Ripper, each coming with guitars and straps!

Here are the digital renders of Buzzer, who comes with a freakin’ drum set and Ripper, coming with a guitar and strap!

A.W.E. Striker with Crankcase
Teased at New York Comic Con 2024, we thought the AWE Striker would be coming to the Classified Series! Built for speed, terrain, and combat, this off-road beast will be ready to deploy with Crankcase behind the wheel.

From the GI Joe panel at NYCC Comic Con 2024, it appeared that a new vehicle is in the works and it must be a small form factor and we were thinking this could be a tease for the AWE Striker!

Slice and Dice
Slice and Dice were leaked as part of the epic month of GI Joe Classified Series leaks back in November/December 2024! Masters of deception and destruction, this ruthless duo is sharpening their blades to carry out Cobra’s next plot.

Slice and Dice Ninja Force
Get ready to strike with precision and power as the GI Joe Classified Series are going deep into the 1990’s and bringing Ninja Force figures to the line! Thanks to the thefullforcepodcast for posting images by way of Jayy Khan, Slice and Dice are karate chopping their way to the line with these leaked images. This is surprising as they were not name only revealed at the GI Joe panel at NYCC 2024. Whether you’re reliving the 1990s glory days of Ninja Force or discovering these fan-favorites for the first time, the Ninja Force figures stood out for their bold, colorful designs and “action attack” features. These action features set Ninja Force apart from other G.I. Joe figures, which usually had standard articulation. These Slice Dice GI Joe Classified Series figures will beef up the ninja’s in the line for sure!

Slice
Slice comes in his classic red outfit and it appears he comes with 2 head sculpts. Given that these are prototypes, we are assuming his ninja mask will have a silver front. Slice’s design was instantly recognizable as he wore a striking red and black outfit but it looks like we get to see his face, which gives him a sinister, almost menacing look.

Slice was released carded as part of the eleventh series (1992) as part of the Ninja Force. He came with a butterfly knife, a black heavy sword, and a black figure stand. His file card read, “Motto: “I fear no mortal man in face-to-face combat, but my sword cuts easiest from behind!” Captured Cobra documents indicate that SLICE may be a renegade Ninja from STORM SHADOW’S very own clan! It is believed that Slice created his own evil sword technique by observing the battle strategies of scorpions and adapting the movement into a backhand sword-slash that he calls the “Scorpion Slash.” He’s an expert with all edged weapons, small hand guns and explosives, and enjoys working with the Cobra Ninja cohort, named DICE! Slice can usually be found driving the Cobra Parasite when he’s not in his martial arts studio.
Dice
Dice is also part of the Ninja Force and he comes with 2 masks and an additional unmasked head sculpt.

Here we can see the two alternate head sculpts.

Here are up close shots of the two masks that come with Dice (left and middle) and the mask that comes with Slice (right).

Dice was released carded as part of the eleventh series (1992) as part of the Ninja Force. He came with a silver axe, a silver bo-staff, and a black figure stand. His file card read, “Motto: “I’m a back-breaker, a face-stomper and bone-breaker! Don’t mess with me, or I’ll mess you up!” Rumor has it that DICE was once a Cobra NIGHT CREEPER, but was kicked out for being TOO evil! Dice operates as a partner to the Cobra Ninja Swordsman SLICE, specializing in choke holds, pressure points, snares, traps, blunt instruments and eye-gouging. His weapon of choice is the Bo-Staff, which he can manipulate with blinding speed and bone crushing power. His most dreaded technique is a motion he calls the “Flying Dragon.” Dice is most troublesome when he gets behind the wheel of the Cobra Rat.”
Cobra SNAKE Battle Armor
A mechanized force of destruction, Cobra’s latest battlefield innovation in 6-inch scale and more menacing than ever.

Darklon
Darklon was a cool reveal as he came packed with a vehicle back in the 80’s so it’s cool that they are making him into a stand alone figure to beef up Destro’s Iron Grenadier faction!

Huge thanks to thefullforcepodcast for posting a preproduction image of Darklon via Jayy Khan! You can see his classic barrel gun plus a revolver, knife, and a sword and sheath!

The prototype shows some tell tale signs of this being the Darklon figure as he has the grenades wrapping around his right shin and the strap that goes across his chest. His leg armor also goes up his thigh, which is another sign.

Darklon hails from the same bloodline as the infamous Destro, sharing the legacy of a family-bound steel mask. But while the Destro clan built their empire through arms dealing, the Darklons carved their path in more ruthless pursuits—mercenary work, privateering, and even investment banking. They’re opportunists, loyal only to the highest bidder, with no allegiances or sides to call their own. Darklon takes it a step further, unlike his distant cousin. He’s got no moral compass, no code of honor. Greed fuels his every move, making him one of the most dangerous players in the game.

MASS Device Breaker
A mechanized force of destruction, Cobra’s latest battlefield innovation in 6-inch scale and more menacing than ever.

According to the thefullforcepodcast, Shaw Liú has shared more preproduction images of the MASS Device Breaker.

Here are some shots of Breaker’s comms backpack that shows a place for his headset (yet to be revealed) to port in.

Here is a shot of the top and inner views of the backpack and there is also a slot on the top of the pack.

There were also a pair of white mystery weapons shown, which are previously repainted weapons from other figures.

MASS Device Divers
The Divers were a nice surprise as they are a red and yellow repaint of Torpedo and Eels!

Crystal Ball
Bizarre, eerie, and downright unsettling—that’s Crystal Ball in a nutshell. He may not boast any genetic modifications or surgical enhancements, but his unnerving behavior and wild tales of European mysticism have rattled even the most hardened members of Cobra. With whispers of supernatural powers, Crystal Ball claims to hypnotize with barely any effort and even seems to possess the ability to read minds.

Revealed by thegreattonino: “I was blown away with all the amazing details Lenny got in on this figure. What a cool glow up from the original release. Hope you all and the King family dig this as much as we do!

Retro Cardback Flint
Flint looks classic as you can see his classic paint applications with his black shirt, and green and brown camo pants.

Here we have leaked images of the Retro Flint pre production sample thanks to Jkan7. He has his classic web gear full of bullets and comes with a green backpack, 2 pairs of additional hands and his classic looking rifle.

Retro Cardback Cover Girl
We are excited to see Cover Girl as she mirrors her comic appearance!

Here we have a leaked images of the Retro Cover Girl pre production sample. You can see she is dressed in green with a brown shirt and is sporting her hair up in a pony tail wearing a baseball cap. She comes included with an alternate head with long blonde hair and includes a pairs of additional hands, wrench, sledge hammer, gun, and rifle. Pictured below is the Super7 Sunbow inspired O-Ring Covergirl for some reference and comparison.

Retro Cardback Tele-Viper
The Tele-Viper has shortened sleeves like the vintage figure and his two alternate head sculpts feature the words ALERT and WHAT THA…?

Next is the leaked images for the Retro Tele-Viper. A repaint of the first version, this version comes in his classic ARAH blue outfit color way. He comes packed with 2 additional head portraits, his laser gun and backpack.

Retro Carded Viper
Revealed at SDCC 2024, a retro carded Viper will be joining the line!

Vipers was first released as part of the fifth series in 1986. Vipers came with a black fieldpack and a light gray RDT 7 assault rifle with grenade launcher. Their file card read:
“Vipers are the backbone of the Cobra Legions. They are highly motivated, superbly trained and formidably equipped. All Vipers are issued a combination assault rifle/grenade launcher; the rifle part of which can function as a short burst assault weapon, a sustained fire cover support weapon, or a long range sniper rifle with an advanced light-intensification night vision telescopic sight with a built-in range-finder. Multi-layer body armor and wraparound acrylic/composite helmets with built-in RTO* gear are standard issue. “If you want to get anywhere in Cobra, you have to start out as a Viper. That’s the bottom of the pyramid, and serving in the Cobra infantry is a small price to pay to gain access to the glittering prizes at the top. Cobra doesn’t reward success with parades and medals. They offer material wealth, power and an outlet for the terrible urges that drive the greedy, the envious and the cruel. If that doesn’t make a Viper a dangerous opponent, nothing does!”

Retro Carded Dr. Mindbender
Revealed at SDCC 2024, a retro carded Dr. Mindbender will be joining the line!

Dr. Mindbender was first released as part of the fifth series in 1986. Dr. Mindbender came with a black cape with painted silver Cobra logo, a gray .45 caliber pistol, a silver electric prod, a black generator, and a black hose. His file card read:
Dr. Mindbender was at one time an excellent orthodontist and a very kind and honest man. Tinkering with electric brainwave stimulation as a means of relieving dental pain, the good doctor made the tragic mistake of experimenting on himself. He underwent a complete personality change and became hateful, deceitful, and vain! Dr. Mindbender abandoned his practice and devoted all his time to perfecting his digital brain-scrambling into a hand-portable weapon system capable of reducing the most strong-willed individual into a cowering wimp. “Dr. Mindbender doesn’t think he’s deluded-he feels he used to be. Now that he has seen the light, or the dark if you will, he feels it is his personal mission to bring the miracle of thought control to each and every one of you!”

Retro Carded Rock N Roll
Revealed at SDCC 2024, a retro carded Rock N Roll will be joining the line!

Rock N Roll came out in 1982 as the first batch of 3 3/4″ GI Joes and the first figure had straight arms. The following year, Hasbro introduced the Swivel Arms to the line, which they subsequently implemented it to all the original characters in wave 1.5. The original figure had yellow hair and beard, dark green short-sleeved shirt with two gold ammo belts across chest, dark green pants with gold pockets and brown brown boots. The first of the Joes took on more of a green shirt look and hopefully they will be adding more detail than the first of the green shirts to be released, Breaker!

This custom comes to us from Grid Iron Studios as we can see what a vintage GI Joe Classified Series Rock N Roll could look like with a full weapons pack out and even a helmet with goggles that lower and raise just like the vintage figure. As we know, the Rock N Roll from 1982 did not come with a visor but this is what the Classified Series is all about where we can reimagine what the figures could look like in modern times. As for a concept for Rock N Roll for the Classified Series, we could see a layered look to the figure with a removable bandolier, holsters for his weapons and ammo, and a removable helmet. Although Rock N Roll did not come with a backpack, it would be interesting to see him come with more accessories to make the character more interesting as the vintage figure was a bit bland but iconic. For example, it would be cool to see a gun holster on the boot so maybe they can add some flair like that! We could definitely see a Classified Series Rock N Roll looking very similar to this and it would be amazing so we are looking forward to the actual reveal from Hasbro at a later point in time.

Law and Order
Revealed at SDCC 2024, Law and Order will be joining the line!

Law & Order was first released as part of the sixth series in 1987. Law came with a white helmet, a black leash, a black uzi, a black nightstick, and a brown dog, “Order.”

Here is a GI Joe Classified series concept from Charlock on Figure Realm and he describes what went into this custom, “My Classified Series Law & Order began life as a Valaverse Action Force Duster figure. The head is a recast of a Marvel Legends Peter Parker (not sure which version), from Casting Cave. I repainted the shirt to match the vintage Law figure, added a modified and repainted Roadblock (v1) vest, as well as a 3D printed helmet. The Military Police logos are waterslide decals and Order I found on eBay.

Heavy Duty
Revealed at SDCC 2024, Heavy Duty will be joining the line!

We’ve been covering Mattel Masters of the Universe trademark renewals for quite some time. Today, we focus our attention to Hasbro’s trademark renewals and we’ve discovered that they recently started the process for renewing a trademark for the GI Joe character named Heavy Duty. Hasbro filed this application back on June 13, 2023 and this could mean one of two things. First, companies will renew trademarks because they do not want to lose the naming rights to the figure. Second, it could mean that they are renewing the trademark because they have a figure in the works and this is just a formality. We like to think it’s the latter so let’s take a closer look at the Heavy Duty character and some custom concepts

Heavy Duty was released carded as part of the tenth series in 1991. Heavy Duty came with a green backpack, a green launcher base, a red missile site, a black center mount cannon, two green spring-loaded side-mount missile launchers, and two light green missiles. The two missile launchers attached to the sides of the ammo box. The gun barrels attached to the top of the ammo box, the backpack attached to the bar at the back of the ammo box, and the site fit into the backpack’s post.

His file card reads:
“A classical guitarist in his spare time, HEAVY DUTY sees little difference between playing Bach’s “Two Part Invention in D Minor” and operating his Man-Portable Heavy Weapons System. They both require right and left hand independence, exceptional hand-eye coordination and the ability to concentrate simultaneously on two or more complex operations. To him, playing Bach correctly and hitting a distant, fast-moving target are two sides of the same coin. It also represents his cultural refinement.”
“Let’s say you zap a laser-guided missile at a tank. You try to keep your laser-guided designator dot on that tank for the entire run of the missile while that tank commander is popping caps at you. If you move, the laser dot disappears from the tank and your missile wanders astray. Heavy Duty carries enough extra firepower to shut down the enemy while his missiles are running. And Heavy Duty doesn’t duck for ANYBODY!”

Heavy Duty GI Joe Classified Series Custom Concept
Hasbro has not announced a figure of Heavy Duty for their GI Joe Classified Series so we often look to the customizing community for some inspiration as to what a Heavy Duty figure could like. The image on the left has Heavy Duty in classic v1 vintage color scheme and his classic baseball hat turned backwards. The image on the right reuses the Cobra Island Roadblock figure as this version of Roadblock was often referred to as the Heavy Duty for GI Joe Classified Series given his unique look.

Footloose
During the Yo Joe June 2024 GI Joe Classified Series FanStream, it was announced that Footloose was coming to the line! Footloose was first released as part of the fourth wave in 1985.

Footloose came with a distinct green PASGT helmet with brown leaves molded on it, a tan backpack, a black M-16 rifle with a solid shoulder strap, and a black M73-A1 LAWS rocket launcher with a solid shoulder strap.

Stronox Customs created a GI Joe Classified Series scale Footloose concept and if we are getting anything close to what Stronox envisioned, I would be one happy camper!

I love how the browns pop on the figure and Stronox also nailed his thick, mustache look!

Blowtorch
Blowtorch was part of the 1984 series and cartoon and featured a very unique armor sculpt with orange-red pads on chest, arms, legs, and feet. The colors are what attracted me (Michael) to this figure when I was kid and he was my all time favorite figure in the so of course I would selfishly love to see him make the Classified Series!

This custom concept comes from the talented YoJoeARAH customs and he captured what a Classified Series Blowtorch would like like perfectly! He has given him an updated flame thrower and tank design and added some red in order to differentiate various parts to his pack out! Integrating his yellow helmet, ace mask with hose, fuel-tank backpack with hole for cord, and his olive-green M-7 flamethrower with cord, this is exactly how I had pictured a Classified Series concept for this iconic figure.

Frag Viper
As a freebie for miscounting the GI Joe Classified Series preorders on the Leap Day 2024 FanStream, Emily said that Frag Viper will also be coming to line but that would be very far into the future.
Stronox Customs did an incredible job creating what a Classified Series scale Frag Viper figure could look like!

He features his classic grenade lobber, hose, and backpack!

Leatherneck
Leatherneck was released as a single carded figure in 1986 and the the Joe Team said he’ll have a “grizzled” look.

Here we can see an incredible custom by YoJoeARAH (@yojoearah), and they give us a great idea of what a Classified scale Leatherneck might look like! He would be an incredible addition to the line!
Zandar
Zandar was released as a single carded figure in 1986 and it’s great to get Zandar in the line as he can join his brother and

Zarana needs her brother Zandar and here we can see an incredible custom by YoJoeARAH (@yojoearah), and they give us a great idea of what a Classified scale Zandar might look like! Who doesn’t need more dreadnocks?!
Raptor
Raptor known as the Cobra Falconer, was released in 1987 and is a very cool character. Raptor was a yuppie tax consultant turned Cobra Falconry is a very unique figure and comes with a winged like soft goods cape and a pet falcon.

Here is an incredible custom by YoJoeARAH (@yojoearah) • Instagram photos and videos of Raptor to see what a Classified scale version might look like.
Nemesis Enforcer
The first of the Cobra-La figures, Nemesis Enforcer is an exciting addition to this rumored list! That means that we might be getting more Corba-La characters in the Classified Series line in the future!
The first of the GI Joe the Movie figures to be named for the Classified Series line, Nemesis Enforcer was part of the Cobra-La Faction.
Acoording to Nemesis Enforcer (RAH) | Joepedia | Fandom:
In G.I. Joe: The Movie he is the elite guard that protects Golobulus. He does not speak, but rather has a grunt & growls like a monstrous animal. He is a humanoid with large wings, capable of flight and large, extendable spikes on his forearms that are strong enough to pry open even the strongest doors.
He is first seen in a flash when he bursts up from under the ground to flip a GI Joe vehicle when the team pursues Cobra forces into Cobra-La. When the Joes are captured, Cobra Commander approaches the hulking monster, only to be ordered into custody himself by the Enforcer.

Nemesis Enforcer is later sent to the Joes compound to free Serpentor, who had been captured in the battle defending the Broadcast Energy Transmitter. After leading a small task force of Cobra-La guards and the Dreadnoks into the prison chamber. When the Dreadnoks’ weapons are unable to penetrate the dome covering Serpentor’s cell, the Enforcer pushes them all aside and easily pries open the two halves of the dome with his forearm spikes. He then deflects the lasers of Serpentor’s cage with one of his wings, allowing the emperor to escape.
He is seen in the final battle fighting against Sgt. Slaughter, who has a personal score to settle with the monster. He ultimately meets his doom at the hands of Sgt. Slaughter when he gets thrown into a spike walled pit, unable to fly out as Slaughter had broken one of his wings.
Nemesis Enforcer (RAH) | Joepedia | Fandom

Here we have a 1/18 scale custom of Nemesis Enforcer by the incredible Stronox Custom Figures> Even though he is a smaller scale, this highly articulated custom gives us a great idea at what a Classified scale version of Nemesis Enforcer would look like.

Stronox chose to go in a cool direction with his custom with having green tentacles attached to his back.

Starduster
Starduster is another fan favorite that we are happy to be added to this rumored list! As you recall, Star Duster was a mail away figure from the vintage ARAH line. Frequently shown with the Jump Jet pack, this is an easy one for the Hasbro Team to do as we recently got the Steel Corp 2 pack that used the Jump Packs. I could see Starduster being another deluxe figure release.
The vintage Starduster figure was first available as a mail-in exclusive figure from G.I. Joe Action Stars Cereal back in 1987. Then in 1988 Starduster was also available as a mail-in offer from Hasbro Direct. He appeared to have several variants until he was discontinued in 1991. He is a very sought after vintage figure and will make a great addition to the Classified Series line!

Here we can see an incredible custom by YoJoeARAH (@yojoearah), and they give us a great idea of what a Classified scale Starduster might look like! He would be an incredible addition to the line!
Road Pig
Road Pig is yet another Dreadnock to continue the long line of Dreadnocks we have thus far. He has a chonky body so it will be cool to see the new buck they will use for this figure! The ranks of the Dreadnocks are really getting filled out and he will be another shirtless Cobra! Road Pig was originally released as part of the ARAH line in 1988. He came with a large hammer weapon, a wrist cross bow, a wrist guard and a backpack.

Here we can see an incredible custom by YoJoeARAH (@yojoearah), and they give us a great idea of what a Classified scale Road Pig might look like!
According to Road Pig (RAH) | Joepedia | Fandom:
Of all the Dreadnoks, Road Pig may be the most fearsome of them all. With his immense strength, violent temper and antisocial behavior, he should have been a natural member of that infamous group of bikers. Yet, he was considered as too obnoxious and smelling worse than the other Dreadnoks care to be. He should have of gotten the boot right from the get go but, like the outlaw gang that took him in before them, they found it hard to say no to him. To placate him, they had to put him in “probationary status”, making him the only member to have ever undergone this process. Right now, he’s so obnoxious that they would like to kick him out but they still have yet to figure out how.

“Once a Man” Cobra Commander
Emily from the Hasbro GI Joe Team also name dropped the ” Once a Man” Cobra Commander. This is from the 1987 GI Joe the Movie, when Cobra Commander get’s transformed into a snake. Below we can see a custom concept by @roenin8180 • Instagram photos and videos where you can see the transformation.

Dial Tone
Dial Tone has a cell phone that holsters into his pocket. His beret comes off. He has a more modern communications back pack.

Dial Tone was announced as a name only reveal on the GI Joe FanStream on Leap Day 2024!
Stronox Customs did an incredible job creating what a Classified Series scale Dial Tone figure could look like!

He comes with a magnetic backpack, his classic rifle and a removable boot knife.

Saw Viper
The Saw Viper is in his classic purple outfit and his helmet is removable. He’ll be hitting collectors hands in 2025.

The SAW was also announced as a name only reveal on the GI Joe FanStream on Leap Day 2024!
Stronox Customs also created a Classified Series scale SAW Viper that is a nod to his vintage figure!

Again, Stronox knocked this one out of the park as he comes with his classic style machine gun and backpack!

Iron Grenadiers
We are getting yet another army building for our Cobra Ranks, and hurting to our wallets, yes it’s the Iron Grenadiers! Iron Grenadiers was released in 1988, and was an absolute fan favorite!

Here is an incredible custom by Stronox (@stronox_custom_figures) • Instagram photos and videos of Iron Grenadier to see what a Classified scale version might look like.
Alpine
A new name only reveal dropped at the GI Joe Classified Series panel during New York Comic Con 2023, and that was Alpine! Alpine has always been one of the classic Joes and the Roel nailed the render for his head sculpt! We don’t see many Joes with baseball caps and I am imagining that this hat could be removable. He is also rendered with a realistic rope across his chest, very similar to the Shipwreck was made in the Classified Series. The coloring on his is a little darker than the vintage figure but it’s a great look nonetheless! Below is an incredible custom render done by a very talented individual Roel Robles! If you want to check out more of his work, take a look at our Future GI Joe Classified Series Figure Concepts article.

We also have an incredible custom by YoJoeARAH of Alpine to give us a better idea of what the actual figure will look like.
Alpine has always been one of the classic Joes and the fun factor was all of climbing gear he came with. Alpine came with a tan mountain pack, a black GR8-88 grappling launch line, a black Barretta SMG-12 submachine gun, a black climbing axe, and two black grappling hooks connected by black string.
His bio reads’ “From the middle of the flat dusty Snake River Plain where Alpine was born he could see the mountains on the horizon in almost every direction like a physical barrier between him and the world he wanted. He took up mountain climbing during college and continued as a recreational climber during his brief tenure as an accountant for a large publishing firm. The G.I. Joe team gave Alpine the most hazardous of all conditions: With COBRA shooting at him! Graduated Ranger School, Fort Benning. Qualified Expert: M-16, M-14, M-60, M1911A1. The quote on his file card reads, “Every time Alpine scales a sheer cliff face piton by piton, overcoming granite and gravity with muscle and persistance, he is symbolically climbing out of the quagmire of his past. That’s why we send him up first on vertical assaults. He doesn’t take to being knocked down too easily.”

February 29, 2024 Update: Retro Cardback Beach, Eels, Snow Serpent & Cobra Ferret Scout and Ferret
Retro Beachhead
We got a version of Beach Head in the Cobra Island Target exclusive era, and that was pretty much like the vintage figure. Continuing their retro cardback series, they have another Beachhead version in the works! Thanks to @YoJoeARAH, we get to visualize what a retro Beachhead could look like!
Retro Eel
Hot off the heals of the Classified Series general release, we are getting another army builder in the form a retro cardback Eel! We hope they stay true to how the weapons were designed!

There is a talented 3D printer designer who created custom G.I. Joe Classified series style Eel backpack/speargun that has those vintage feels so we are expecting Hasbro to do this figure justice retro style and not just repack the first release and put it on a retro cardback.
Here is a close up the speargun and backpack and they look incredible!
Retro Snow Serpent
We also recently got a Snow Serpent in the Classified Series but a retro cardback version would be awesome! The vintage figure was so great and it will be awesome to see how the figure turns out as a retro cardback figure.

The Snow Serpent is an exciting name only reveal and we are using a custom concepts to show you what he may look like. This one is exciting because he comes packed with a ton of really cool accessories like the classic tennis racket snow shoes and missile.

Cobra Ferret
The Ferret can traverse practically any terrain, it’s sorely lacking in armor. As a quad bike, it is best suited for light infantry and security detail. The Cobra Ferret is a powerful quad bike with flexible, off-road tires, one-piece welded steel wheels, a 6 forward-speed transmission, and a free-floating transverse front suspension. The bike is powered by a 16-valve liquid-cooled 115 hp 4-cycle engine. This 4-wheeler is armed with driver-controlled twin .50 caliber machine guns, a side-slung electric CMF-1 10-round grenade launcher, and 2 laser-seeking “Com-Bat” rockets.

There are many talented people that 3D print vehicles and here is a Classified Series scale custom Ferret with nonother than the Crimson Twins taking it for a joy ride.

February 1, 2024 UPDATE: Doc, Night Creeper, Torch, Jinx Digital Render Reveals
Torch
Torch has been pipeline revealed during SDCC 2023 We are always exciting to see new Dreadnoks coming to the Classified Series as they are one of the most unique characters in a faction. Roel was spot on with designing the figure with his classic vest and he even added some chains around the shoulders that makes the vest completely pop! His facial hair and head sculpt are updated as he also gave him a more modern pair of sunglasses. The weapons are resued from the vintage figure as we are guessing he would come packed with that black tubing that was made for the GI Joe Classified Series Barbecue.

According to Joepedia, If Buzzer is the smart aleck of the Dreadnoks, then Torch is the witless stooge of the team. Not quite smart (he’s illiterate!) and never really aspiring to be anything higher, Torch only does what he is told. To that effect, he is valuable not for his brains but for his penchant for sudden and unexpected violence. Perhaps, his only bright spot is his skill with the acetylene torch which he has modified into an actual functioning flamethrower weapon. Torch was a juvenile delinquent who joined the merchant marines and became a sure hand with a cutting torch. With that knowledge, he began running chop shops, gutting and remodeling stolen cars, sometimes getting too carried away with his work and transforming a hot car into a smoldering scrap pile. A former member of the Melbourne Maulers, he joined the Dreadnoks after the latter gang absorbed the former. A stupid, unrepentant thug, he is tolerated by the others for his skill in motorcycle repair.
Torch’s file card comes in 3 flavors, two of them being a light peach and a darker peach and the classic gray color the file cards were transitioned to. His file card reads, “Subject was remanded to Borstal* at age fourteen. Escaped and went to sea in the Merchant Marine where he learned the use of the cutting torch. Later rode with the Melbourne Maulers M.C.**Torch is an illiterate, unrepentant thug whose penchant for sudden and unexpected violence is matched only by the utter depth of his stupidity. Specialty and M.O.***: Works with Oxy-Acetylene torch as a general cutter mostly on remodeling stolen cars and occasional safe crackings. Scavenges the swamps for fun and profit.
*Reform school
**Motorcycle Club
***Modus Operandi

Here is another incredible custom concept from the talented @YoJoeARAH to show you what this figure might look like when it is actually produce!

Night Creeper
The original purple and maroon suit with gray and maroon camouflage pants. This suit includes a silver visor and breast plates. Night Creeper came with a black crossbow, a black kris sword, a black barbed sword, and a maroon backpack.

Here is a concept by the insanely talented @YoJoeARAH as this could very well be what we see for a Classified Series Night Creeper.
Gnawgahyde & Boar
Gnawgahyde was released in 1989 and this was right before the GI Joe line went completely off the rails in the 1990’s. It’s great to see another Dreadnok added to the line! Gnawgahyde came with a black rifle, a black bipod, a silver machete, a silver knife, a black bow, a black quiver, a tan hat, and a brown boar.

Here is a concept by, you guessed it, @yoJoeARHA and we will likely see a packout like the Croc Master, who also came with a pet.
Doc
Doc was revealed to the coming to the line via an Instagram post about the HasLab Dragonfly on July 10, 2023 so we moved him up to this section as we have not seen a digital render of the figure. YoJoeARAH also cooked up a custom Doc in 6″ scale so we can envision what he might look like.

Doc is an avowed pacifist but never backed down from a challenge. When he heard about the G.I. Joe Team, he enlisted in the Army hoping to be on the team. He was told that the Army made no such deals. That didn’t stop Doc. He went on with his training and did all he can to get on the Joe Team. It is his belief that the Joe Team is the country’s best weapon against terror and that even they need a man who’s willing to go into the field when the going gets rough and the chips are down and patch them back up.

July 10, 2023 UPDATE: Doc, Airborne, and General Hawk Announced
General Hawk
General Hawk, as his version 2 figure is called, looked drastically different than his v1 counterpart. Drawing inspiration from one of our favorite GI Joe customizers, yojoearah, we see what this figure could like and this one is in Classified Series scale.

Airborne
He is the G.I. Joe Team’s helicopter assault trooper and debuted in 1983. To envision what a Classified Series figure of Airborne would look like, yojoeARAH has already created a custom of him and he looks pretty much like his vintage figure.

His real name is Franklin E. Talltree, and his rank is that of sergeant E-5. Airborne was born in a Navajo Reservation in Arizona. His primary military specialty is an airborne infantryman, while as his secondary military specialty he is a helicopter gunship gunner.

January 27, 2023 UPDATE: Agent Helix and Joe Troop Builder 2-Pack Announced
First off, special thanks to chaztheguru for the tip off that Emily and Lenny from the Joe Team announced two more pipeline reveals for the GI Joe Classified Series line. Agent Helix and the first even Joe Troop Build 2-Pack was revealed! Although we have not details on the Joe Troop Builder 2-Pack, Lenny said that “the troops in the pack could handle land or sky so we will wait for more details on those! In the meantime, let’s a take look at Agent Helix’s history and what her Classified Series could ed up looking like! Here is the official announcement from Emily and Lenny:
Agent Helix
Agent Helix is a covert operations officer for the G.I. Joe team. She is an expert marksman with advanced martial arts training. She uses dual 10 mm automatic pistols as her preferred weapon. She’s an Olympic-class gymnast and uses her distinctive “Whirlwind attack” to deliver overpowering combinations of kicks and firepower to Cobra agents. She also has the ability to identify and solve complex physical calculations at a rate that some consider extremely spooky. To her, everything has a data set, like miles left before a car will run out of gas or ammo count in the bad guy’s guns, etc. This ability is referred to as “Total Organic Battlefield Awareness.”

Could we have predicted this Agent Helix pipeline reveal coming from a mile away? Well, maybe but you need to know where to look! Agent Helix has been hiding in plain site on the Hasbro GI Joe Meet the Characters page for quite some time now and it is high time that she was developed into a GI Joe Classified Series figure!

Her Bio reads: “Helix is a covert operations agent with advanced martial arts training, world-class gymnastics skill, and expert marksmanship. She has a unique near-psychic ability called Total Organic Battlefield Awareness (TOBA). This allows her to perceive elements of her surroundings before they are visible. Her distinctive “whirlwind attack” is an overpowering combination of kicks and firepower. Agent Helix was released in 2009 as part of Series 4 of the Rise of Cobra line. She has black hair dyed white, a yellow and grey jumpsuit, a black harness and corset, a black belt with silver pouches, grey pants, black kneepads, and black boots. With respect to her weapons, she has dual grey autopistols, a grey machete, a grey spring-loaded missile launcher, and a blue missile with grey dish.

Female Cobra Trooper 2-Pack
Previously revealed at MCM, we got a very blurry look at the Femal Cobra Trooper 2-pack. Thanks to G.I.Joe Classified on Instagram, we got an official image release of the Female Cobra Trooper 2-Pack. Here we can see the bevy of weapons and accessories they come packed with. They each have back packs, one in tan and one in black. There are multiple blast effects, just like the ones that came with the Viper 3 Pack. Each trooper comes wth 2 side arm pistols, a knife, a rifle, and a machine gun, both with removeable cartridges. Plus, they are packed with removeable helmets and a face mask.

Hasbro revealed a new female Cobra Trooper 2-Pack with a a gaggle of weapons and blast effects! Their uniform is a deep Cobra blue with red and gold accents and we are sure this is going to be a sough after army builder!

Big Ben
Previously revealed at MCM, we got a very blurry look at the digital render image for Big Ben. Thanks to G.I. ShArK on Instagram, we got an official image release of the Big Ben Here we can see the Big Ben and the tons of weapons and accessories he comes packed with. He includes a semi-automatic side arm pistol with silencer, a rifle, and a machine gun, both with removeable cartridges and a gas mask. Big Ben’s face paint camo looks amazing and the chest straps full of bullets completes his classic look!

This figure was a pipeline reveal from August 2022 and we finally get to see the Digital Render of Big Ben and he looks fantastic! He comes with a alternate head sculpt that has a gas mask and his signature weapons!

Shadow Tracker
Shadow Tracker came from the GI Joe Pursuit of Cobra line in 2011 and he is a rather odd character choice but if his Classified Series sculpt is anything like his figure, he will be the most unique one on the line! His bio reads:
SHADOW TRACKER works for COBRA as a wilderness hunter and guide. Scorning conventional firearms, he uses traditional weapons from around the world. He tracks his prey using primal instinct: He hears the dark whispers of the jungle, senses distant footfalls in the earth and tastes his victim’s fear in the wind.

Generaljoesreborn has a fantastic review of Shadow Tracker and a nice summary of the new character that was added to the line:
First of all, Shadow Tracker has a distinct advantage…I love new characters, and Shadow Tracker is a new character. He’s a Cobra tracking specialist and jungle operative, which is something we’ve seen surprisingly little of in Cobra’s thirty year history. Now, within a couple of months we not only have the first mass release “Jungle Viper” but we also have a Cobra Tracker. But he’s not just a Cobra Tracker, he’s a completely bad ass looking Cobra tracker who oozes personality in a way that only the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero universe can provide. This is something that G.I. Joe has always been able to do, for whatever reason. The way Hasbro can perfectly meld a straight-line military line with a fantastical science fiction element never ceases to amaze me, and Shadow Tracker walks that line to perfection. But, none of this means anything if the figure isn’t any good, and trust me, this figure is great above and beyond his cool history.
Shadow Tracker – General Joes Reborn

Regarding the figure:
Beyond the theory and mythology, though, you have a toy. And the fun value of that toy will impact the rest of it more than anything else…Shadow Tracker is quite simply an awesome toy. Even underneath all of that gear, Cobra’s Wilderness expert has some excellent detailing, incredibly smooth articulation and some insane paint apps. His elbow joints actually bend the full 90 degrees many figures cannot achieve, he’s got the great pivot wrists, and even though his legs are sculpted like one piece legs (without those joint disguising kneepads) his double-jointed knees work without flaw. And his head? His head sculpt is simply insane. The wild mane of dreadloks spirals from underneath a semi-translucent hockey mask which gives the character an absolutely evil, insidious look about him. The figure is obviously at least somewhat inspired by the Devils’ Due Skullbuster, I believe, but it takes that design aesthetic and totally runs with it. Upon first glance, it almost looks like his mask is removable, but take Twink Viper’s advice and don’t do it.
Shadow Tracker – General Joes Reborn
He comes with a gaggle of weapons as well:
Like every other figure in the Wave 4 assortment, the accessories are really where it’s at, and Shadow Tracker is loaded. He comes with a pretty simple vest, nicely colored and detailed just right. His compound bow was first seen with the TRU Exclusive Spirit, and he comes with the quiver and extra arrow as well. Where Shadow Tracker excels is with the bladed weapons. As a Cobra “hunter” he comes fully equipped with some of the nastiest knives I’ve ever seen in the 3 3/4″ scale, and with his pivot wrists, he can hold them very nicely. If there is a downside to all of these accessories, it’s that he cannot hold them all, though he does have a great sheath on the back of his vest and a hole in the side of his leg where one of his knives can be stored.
Shadow Tracker – General Joes Reborn

Chuckles
One look at Chuckles and you wouldn’t have given a thought he was an undercover agent. Most undercover specialists try not to stand out too much, their interaction with the enemy is often limited, most of their efforts are concentrated on the source for information, and they don’t wear loud Hawaiian shirts. With his burly figure, Chuckles already stands out from the crowd. He has a gregarious personality that makes him the life of the party, quick-witted and possesses a natural likability. He is very conscientious of his work that he’ll volunteer for dangerous missions just to keep up his cover.
He has shifted from one undercover assignment to another for so many times, no one is sure who he works for anymore. He started as an investigator at the South-eastern Insurance Group in Fort Lauderdale. He still feels a debt of allegiance there. He eventually made his way to the US Army’s Criminal Investigations Division.

We love to see concepts that might come to fruition and yojoearah is one of our favorites so this is what Chuckles could look like when he comes to the GI Joe Classified Series!

September 30, 2022 UPDATE: Hawk and Tripwire
While the GI Joe Brand panel was not scheduled to kick off until October 1, 2022 at 1:15pm ET, we got another two name only pipeline reveals during the pre-show and they are none other than Hawk and Tripwire!

Tripwire
Skoog, Tormod S. will be joining the Classified Series in the future. He came out in the vintage line 1983 so it will be great to see what his updated version will look like. We came across this custom Classified Series Tripwire on Hisstank.com, which gives a cool, updated version to his vintage counterpart.
Hawk
Abernathy, Clayton M. will be joining the GI Joe Classified Series in the way distant future but the question is which version will it be? Will it be the original green shirt version that came out in 1982 or version 2 that came out in 1986? We explore what both versions could like!
Version 1
While we could not find any Classified Series scale customs, we did come across these two versions in 3 3/4″ scale. We’ve found that the Classified Series molds are sometimes very similar so here is these figures could look like.
Version 2
General Hawk, as his version 2 figure is called, looked drastically different than his v1 counterpart. Drawing inspiration from one of our favorite GI Joe customizers, yojoearah, we see what this figure could like and this one is in Classified Series scale.

Snow Serpent
The Snow Serpant is an exciting name only reveal and we are using a custom concepts to show you what he may look like. This one is exciting because he comes packed with a ton of really cool accessories like snow shoes, googles and a ton of rifles.

Buzzer
Buzzer is a long awaited character reveal as well. Now we get to build out the Dreadnocks! Again, we are using a custom concepts to show you what he may look like.

Classified Series 2023 Announcements
During a media round table reported by the Full Force Podcast and HISStank.com, Hasbro announced the names of 2 more GI Joe Classified Figures that are slated for a 2023 release! They are Big Ben and the Cobra Range Viper. These are rather deep cuts for the GI Joe Classified line and exciting news for die-hard fans of the franchise!
Big Ben
Big Ben originally came out in the GI Joe A Real American Hero in 1991 as part of Wave 10. Big Ben being one of the later characters in the line is a more obscure choice from Hasbro as they have not completed their core line up yet. But given all the neat accessories Big Ben came with and his amazing camo deco. Will he include his face paint and furry hat? It will be really fun to see what he looks like in the Classified Series scale and detail.

This custom concept from JoeCustoms.com gives us an idea of what a Classified Series version may look like in 6″ scale. He is highly detailed with a bevy of accessories including a huge supply of ammo strapped to his chest, a huge backpack , ammo bag, and rifle. He has his signature face camo and furry hat.

Source: JoeCustoms.com

Range Viper
The Cobra Range Viper was also originally released by Hasbro in 1981 as part of Wave 10. This is another great army builder figure in the line. He has a very unique design in that he is wearing a face mask that looks to be some sort of breathing apparatus with a huge oxygen supplying backpack. He has mostly a blue and black color scheme, with gold bullets strapped to his chest and a bright yellow belt. This is going to be another fun one to see in the Classified 6″ scale.

7/27/2021 UPDATE: Low Light and Tele-Vipers Name Only Reveals
Tele-Viper & Flight Pod
Continuing with the NAME ONLY REVEALS, Lenny and Emily introduced that the Cobra Flight Pod (aka Trubble Bubble) will be coming to GI Joe Classified Series along with Televiper as a figure pack in! We have not seen what this will look like so we provided some concepts and references to the vintage vehicle to refresh your memory!

The Televiper is an amazing figure to have packed in with the Trubble Bubble and below is a concept of what this figure could look like in the GI Joe Classified Series! It will be intersting to see if they reuse some form of breaker’s helmet, like this custom did, and finally make a removable helmet for the Televiper.
Low Light
Low Light was a surprise as he has not been hinted at and, come to think of it, he should not be that much of surprise given the recent announcement of Slaughter’s Marauder’s Barbecue! They did not have a digital render of him but we expect him to look very much like the custom below!

Here is a custom concept of what Low Light could look like coming from the ever so talented Stronox customs! This custom pays homage to the ARAH version of Low Light, which we expect the Classified Series version to do!
According to Joepedia, “Low-Light is one of the sneakiest members of the Joe Team. He can move through foliage and in the dead of night virtually undetected. He can maintain his position and be still for hours. It doesn’t matter what advantage the enemy has, when the sun goes down and you can’t even see two inches from you, that is when you know that the darkness is where Low-Light truly reigns. Low-Light’s superb sniper skill enables him to pick off his targets in even the lowest of illumination affordable. He prefers to maintain his own night-vision equipment. He actually made his own innovations in image-intensification, mostly self-taught, and even holds two patents from his efforts.” He featured yellow hair, a black cap, red goggles, a dark grey jacket with red pad on right shoulder, black gloves, and dark grey pants with black belt. As for his weapons pack out, he featured a large, thick pouch backpack, a black Uzi with trigger guard, and black 7.62mm Moel 85 sniper’s rifle with large scope and tiny bipod.

Coming to the GI Joe Classified Series line in 2023 is Rock N Roll and Shipwreck! Emily and Lenny mentioned that these figures will have vintage inspired roots! These figures are in the design and development phase so hopefully we can see digital renders this month, at the least! For now, let’s take a trip down memory and take a look at the vintage figures and some custom concepts to see what we might expect in 2023!Hasbro decided to go with a v1 version of Rock N Roll, which is going to make many collectors happy as he is one of the original Joes! He features his classic ‘whole 9 yards’ amo belts across his chest plus his classic long machine gun!

For some history, Rock N Roll came out in 1982 as the first batch of 3 3/4″ GI Joes and the first figure had straight arms.

Shipwreck
Shipwreck is featured in his classic dungaree sailor uniform and he looks amazing! The digital renders of his face look spectacular and we can’t wait to see what a painted, plastic version looks like!

There have have been several versions of Shipwreck but the most iconic and well known version is version from the Sunbow cartoon series and vintage toy line. He featured brown hair and beard, a white sailor’s hat, a short-sleeved blue shirt with red chevrons on right arm, blue bell-bottom pants with black gloves, a holster, a hook on his waist to hold accessories. He also came with old-fashioned silver revolver with short strap, silver hook with string, and a green and yellow parrot named Polly.

As Lenny and Emily mentioned, Shipwreck will be going back to his roots and taking on his traditional sailor uniform with dungarees (aka jeans for you youngins out there!). In the custom concept show below, it would be great to see actual rope of twine used to connect his silver hooks, like is shown in the vintage card art. The backpack pirch is a cool concept and can give Polly as resting place. The vintage Polly could sit on his wrist so it will be cool to see what they do with him.

June 8, 2022: Copperhead and Torpedo
Copperhead
Copperhead is another one of those most wanted figures and the digital render provides and updated, more modern look that compliments his vintage style. The cool thing is that Copperhead was a pack in with the Water Moccasin so it’s going to be cool to see how his packaging turns out.

Emily and Lenny revealed that we have Copperhead and Torpedo to the Classified Series in the Spring of 2023 during the June 8, 2022 during their traditional YouTube Live Stream. Copperhead was introduced to the GI Joe line via the Cobra Water Moccasin, which was essentially a PT boat that was most likly created as an answer to both the W.H.A.L.E. and the S.H.A.R.C..

They are currently in the sculpting phase and below you can see concept images of what they might look like. Below we have a great custom By Stronox of Copperhead, in his classic V1 teal green color scheme. It is great to see some of the vintage elements make it into this custom, such as the large solver logo in the middle of his chest, his classic helmet, and the holsters that are strapped to his left chest and right leg.

Torpedo
Torpedo was also revealed as a digital render and looks spectacular in his Navy Seal suit! His gear looks modern with a lot of great angles to it and given that the original figure was black and gray, it will be intersting to see how they vary the color to incorporate those tones. It also looks like he will have a removable mask so we can finally see his face!

Torpedo was part of the 1983 series of GI Joe A Real American Hero toys and his appearance consisted of a black diving mask that exposed his eyes, a black and grey diving suit with grey belt and gloves. He came packed with a grey scuba backpack with orange tanks, a black harpoon gun and two grey flippers that fit in the pegs of his feet.

We also have below you concept images of what Torpedo may look like in his gray and black ARAH style outfit posted by badsociologist. In this custom, we see nods to nostalgia represented in this GI Joe Classified Series concept but with a very different paint app applied and with a closed mask where you can barely see his eyes. His scuba gear looks more realistic and he appears more like a special forces Navy SEAL than anything else.

June 15, 2022: Snow Job and Tunnel Rat
As they have been doing this month, they verbally announced that Tunnel Rat and Snow Job are joining the GI Joe Classified Series in 2023 and this was announced during the June 15, 2022 Instagram Live Stream.
Snow Job
The first digital render reveal of the day is Snow Job! Announced as a pipeline reveal on June 15, 2022, we finally get to see what Snow Job looks like and he comes with an amazing packout with a full ski load out, two head sculpts, and some cool 80’s shades!
Here is what Hasbro dropped on their Instragram page: “We’re not one to let #GIJoeDay get cold, but in this case it’s just our first G.I. Joe Classified Series render reveal! Introducing #SnowJob, tricked out in his arctic combat uniform and stocked up with character-inspired accessories to beat Cobra into submission as he skis down the slopes to victory! Available for pre-order later this year, so stay tuned!”
He was introduced to the line in 1983 and he has red hair and a red beard, large black goggles, a white hooded snowsuit with gloves, boots, brown backpack straps and belt and black pockets on legs. His weapons and accessories included a white backpack with handle, holes for skis, and clips for ski poles, a black XMLR-3A laser rifle, two white skis, and two black ski poles.
Drawing upon inspiration from the customizing community for concepts to see what these figures could look like, this custom comes from yojoearah, and extremely talented customized who is on Instagram! The original Snow Job figure was pretty much all white and yojoearah did an amazing job with the black washing and adding fine detail to make the paint app more exciting, giving the entire look of the figure a fresh look that has a lot of depth to it. He pays attention to smaller details, like including a reflection coming off of his goggles, some white at the bottom and top of the ski poles, and he even mounted a Walkie Talkie on his left shoulder strap, which we could definitely see the Classified Series doing something similar.

Tunnel Rat
The character’s facial appearance is based on G.I. Joe comic book writer Larry Hama and was introduced fairly late in the line in 1987. Tunnel Rat has black hair, a bandanna, neckerchief, and paint on his face and arms. He is wearing a green short-sleeved shirt with ammo belt, black gloves and pants, a dark grey belt, and a brown holster. The pack out on Tunnel Rat was quite impressive as he had a very large, olive-green backpack with holes on top for two removable flashlights, a large black machine gun with long grip and huge scope, and an olive-green TNT pack.

This custom concept comes to us, again, from yojoearah and he did a superb job capturing the vintage look and feel of Tunnel Rat! He really went all in with the black washing and he even added some browns to the paint app to break up the heavy olive green and black tone to the figure. With oversized accessories like the revolver in his front left holster and the long rifle with the red scope, he left no stone unturned on this one! He even integrated a sleeping back into his backpack, which is present on the vintage figure but yojoearah made it stand out by applying a tan paint app to it.

June 22, 2022: Scrap Iron and Grunt
Scrap Iron
A favorite of Michael’s growing up, Scrap Iron was introduced into the line in 1984 and I think we would consider this a deluxe figure by today’s standards. He appeared with a black helmet and visor, a blue shirt with open collar, blue pants, a dark red vest, a belt, holster, and boots. He has black gloves and kneepads and a red Cobra insignia on right shoulder! Scrap Iron’s pack out makes him unique as he came with a six-piece black missile launcher with 2 supports, a pivot, a box top and bottom, and activation switch with cord. To top it off, two red finned missiles fit snugly in the missile launcher and of course, they had to be red given how outlandish Cobra Commander is! If that wasn’t enough, he also came with a black RAR pistol.

Grunt
Going back to the original green shirts from 1982, they also said that Grunt would be joining the line in 2023. Introduced to the line in 1982, Grunt was one of the more basic looking figures as he has brown hair, a dark green shirt with brown straps and light green pockets on shoulders. Continuing with the drab color scheme, he also came with dark green pants with brown boots. He came with a dark green helmet, a small, dark green pouch backpack, and a black M-16 assault rifle.

Grunt was also announced and we could see this figure look very much like Breaker as he was an original green shirt! This custom concept you see below comes from mureview.net and here is what they had to say about why they created him:
“Made a little more Classified style with colors that really pop, and a perfect head for the job if I say so myself. Thank you as always to my awesome wife, for letting me buy parts, and then for painting them to make them look like my favorite Joes from my child hood, like magic!”
mureview.net: Custom GI Joe Classified Series Grunt
As we know, it takes a lot of blood, sweat and tears to make these customs so here are the ingrediants and recipe that was used to create this figure!
Ingredients
- Marvel Legends S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Body
- Fortnite Rifle (I think…)
- Head from a Marvel Legends Punisher
- Cap / Peggy 2-Pack Cap helmet
- 2 Duke shoulder straps
- Green Acrylic Paint
- Brown Acrylic Paint
Recipe
- Head swap to the punisher head
- Paint the base body green
- Paint the trimmings brown / helmet brown
- cut and glue on the shoulder straps
Special notes
- Quick, easy, to awesome effect. Grunt! The Green Shirt that every Joe army must have, and a fun custom that wasn’t a ton of work! I LOVE how this turned out!!

June 30, 2022: Dreadnok Ripper and Updated Firefly
According to Toy News International via the Full Force Podcast, Emily and Lenny from the GI Joe Hasbro team revealed at a round table event today, June 30, 2022, that two more pipeline characters are coming to GI Joe Classified in 2023. We are going to get the Dreadnock Ripper and an updated version of Firefly in 2023!
Dreadnok Ripper
Ripper is one of the coolest of the Dreadnocks and we can’t be more excited about him joining the Classified series! He will join the ranks of Zartan and Zarana! Hopefully we get more Dreadnocks, but this is a great start! Ripper is the coolest of the Dreadnocks, sporting a mohock and and attitude!
According to Ripper’s file card:
Code Name : Ripper : File Name: Harry Nod : Place of Birth: Cape grim, Tasmania
There are devils in Tasmania and RIpper is probably the meanest of them all. Was expelled from nursery school for extorting candy from his schoolmates and spent most of his adult life in various correctional institutions. He is a professional criminal motivated by greed and a malignant dislike for niceties of civilization.
Specialty and M.O: Edged weapons and cutting tools. Is known throughout the swamps for using his blade like a cross between a fireman’s axe and a can opener to unlock gates and crack safes.

Vintage Firefly
We already have Firefly for the GI Joe Classified Series, but sonething about him just never sat right with all the collectors. He really wasnt the classic Firefly we were all waiting for. Some how he was too stylized with that huge chest armor and just never looked right. Well, now is Hasbro’s second chance to do Firefly right! And let’s hope we get a more classic looking version with little green wakie talkie phone and all!
