Yo Joe June 2022 GI Joe Reveals and Preorders are in full swing and this week one of Hasbro’s month long live streams kicked off with a bang with preorders and reveals
Back in April during a Hasbro Fan first Tuesday Live Stream, they revealed new figures that were mostly repaints but we did see the reveal of Sgt. Slaughter, which made up for it. Last week, Hasbro had a fun and playful Instagram Live pre-kickoff where they announced that Shipwreck and Rock N Roll will be joining the Classified Series in 2023 so let’s see what they have in store for us today!
Preorders
Duke and Cobra Commander O-Ring Line
Originally revealed at during a Hasbro live stream in February, we only got rendered images of Duke and Cobra Commander O-Ring 2 Pack. Well today we got to see the actual figures and their accessory pack out and I have to say I was absolutely floored! These O-ring figures look spectacular and are a total tribute to the 1980’s Sunbow cartoon both with their inspired colors and their included accessories!
Duke is in his Classic Sunbow cartoon design in a tan shirt and green pants but in the ARAH vintage style O-Ring Figure. He includes the Jetpack he uses to fly away from Cobra Commander in the opening sequence of the cartoon, flag, bazooka, helmet, rifles, vintage green original GI Joe rifle and green backpack.
Cobra Commander is also in his classic Sunbow cartoon colors dressed in blue and gold also in the ARAH vintage style O-Ring Figure design. He comes with his gold cobra staff, the remote control he used on the cartoons to try to blow up the Statue of Liberty, a black rifle, multiple blasters and various other accessories.
The box art for the packaging is an amazing tribute to the opening scene of the Sunbow cartoon when Cobra is battling Duke in his jetpack! Just like the previous other O-RIng 2 Packs, this one also comes with a box with weapons cache below.

Snake Eyes and Timber Version 2
This set is a repaint/retool of the first Snake Eyes and Timber version and was inspired by Renegades/Resolute style. The figure has green pants and gray armor detailing and it’s nice to see Snake Eyes in a color other than Black. The visor is silver and figure is a mashup of previous versions of Snake Eyes. The cool thing is that you can do a head swap with the Snake Eyes and Timber version one to get the vintage Snake Eyes v2 look that was released in 1985. As for Timber, they wanted to go with a classic white/gray color to pay homage to the vintage figure. Snake Eyes and Timber come in Plastic free packaging with beautiful artwork of snow scene of Snake Eyes and Timber as you can see in the image below.

AWE Striker & Stalker Transformers Mash Up:
This new GI Joe Transformer Collaboration project just knocked my socks off!!! We are getting a freakin’ A.W.E Striker with 1983 Vintage O-Ring Stalker Transformer Collaboration Set! The Transformer is none other than Bumblebee, as we predicted in our previous article! The A.W.E Striker is a perfect tribute to the vintage version with Bumblee hidden inside! You can seat 2 figures riding in A.W.E Striker and comes complete with side boards and foot pegs to add additional Joes riding on the sides! It has the classic big green blaster on top as well/ The blaster comes off at the top of the A.W.E Striker. Antenna moves, Stalker can ride inside and stand on back and fire the large blaster and also includes the classic front headlights. You can also have Stalker ride in back of Bumblebee when he is in his transformed form!

SGT Slaughter
During April’s live stream event we got a treat where we heard from the real Sgt. Slaughter, who proclaimed that he was being recalled to active duty and officially coming to the Classified Series. With an ARAH design, black tank top, green camo pants, and jacked arms, the digital render is outstanding! The face sculpt has that classic Sarge scowl we all know and love! He comes with a removable hat, removable sunglasses and removable whistle. To sweeten the deal, he will also come with a “special gift inside the box.”
Well today we got to see a diorama shots of Sgt Slaughter, which looked amazing! We also got to see his special accessory that Lenny teased us with last time; A teeny Tiny Sgt Slaughter for him to hold! This is so you can recreate the 1980’s commercials we used to see as kids, like he is selling a Joe figure. He also showed us a mock-up of the Mini Sarge comes on a mini-Sarge card back with retro artwork! Sarge comes with multiple sets of hands, his baton, rifle, drill Sargent whistle and removable hat and removable sunglasses. His face sculpt harkens back to his younger self and cartoon look. Sarge is dressed in his classic black tank top, green camo pants, and white belt. Lenny mentioned that the wall thickness on hat was made as thin as possible to fit properly.
We also got to see the new packaging artwork for Sarge which is a Collage of Sarge over the years. It shows classic scenes of Sarge, animated, comic box art etc.., This new artwork will be known as Classified Series Artists Collection.
Where to buy: Sargent Slaughter will be released in time for San Diego Comic Com. Hasbro will be attending SDCC. First time Classified will be at a comic con event. More information to come.

Copperhead
On today’s Live Stream event, Emily and Lenny revealed that we have Copperhead and Torpedo to the Classified Series in the Spring of 2023! They are currently in the sculpting phase. Below you can see concept images of what they might look like. Below we have a great custom By Stronox of Copperhead, in his classic V1 teal green color scheme.

Torpedo

Falcon
We got an exciting new render reveal today with Falcon! Falcon is dressed in his classic green camo commando design. He comes with a removeable beret and removeable scarf, and very close to the original ARAH design.
Barbecue Slaughter’s Marauders
Here we have a repaint of Barbecue. But this time, Barbecue is in his Slaughters Marauders color scheme. He can be considered a trooper builder. He is dressed in his classic blue, greens and brown Marauders but in a more Classified style greens.
Crimson BAT
Again another repaint, this version of the BAT is in the Crimson Guard colored scheme. Tomat and Xamot “ordered” these for Cobra and numbered them. Cobra symbol on their chest plate. Will match Crimson red on Crimson guard and Crimson Twins.
Outback
Here we have yet another repaint, but one I can’t be more excited to be getting already!! It’s Outback in his vintage colors with the “Survival” white T Shirt and green camo pants, and red hair. So excited for this one!
Cover Girl
And the last render reveal we got today was Cover Girl! She has reddish brown short hair, close to original vintage design. She is wearing a brown jacket, tan shirts and pants, brown boots. She has all new sculpting in torso and arms. She will include glamor style make-up on her face.
What’s coming up next:
Emily mentioned that there are 2 more pre-orders coming next week and another vintage unboxing next Wednesday.
At the very end of the live stream we saw an image of a GI Joe Haslab Tease which says “Coming Soon”. Could this be what is going to be revealed at the end of the month?
