The latest wave of GI Joe figures are starting to show up in collector’s hands, and we now have our first in hand images of the GI Joe Classified Series Falcon figure! Thanks to lucky collector Rene Castro, for posting the first In Hand Images of Falcon! We are not sure where Rene aquired his Falcon, but if you recall collectors have been receiving figures like Cover Girl from this wave for about a month or two now. What do you all think about how Falcon came out? Let’s put a pin the face sculpt for now and take a look at the rest of the figure. The figure looks great, his webbing, and body sculpt look great. I love his neck scarf and green beret. He has a look of cool pockets and a great camo pattern on his shirt and pants. His accessories look top notch, which we will look at closer down below. But let’s not ignore the elephant in the room, that face sculpt is a bit odd, which is getting mixed reviews. In my opinion, I think that Hasbro missed the mark a bit with this face sculpt, which is such a shame because they have done some amazing work as of late. The face sculpts on Tiger Force Outback, Spirit and Serpentor for example, were stellar! But now we get this, which as you can see there is something very unproportionate about his mouth and look on his face.
Here we get to take a look at the windowless plastic free packaging as well. The art work looks nice, and at least the inside of the package has an GI Joe logo insert as well. Falcon’s accessories look pretty cool. His rifle has some nice painted details, with the grip and the ammunition. His backpack also has some great detail sculpted into it. You can see two cantennas and a large antenna sticking out of the top. It also has a rope hanging off of it which also has some painted detao;. He also comes with a nice knife with a painted blade.
Falcon is dressed in his classic green camo commando design. He comes with a removable beret and removable scarf, and very close to the original ARAH design. He also includes his heavy blaster, coms backpack, and overstepped web gear. If you look closely at the product images, the face sculpt does look better. Im not saying that it was great, but it is better than the one in the in hand photos.
