We have all the Deep Discount Pre-Order Links for you as well! So let’s get started! Also, Jay from Geek Dad Life is in Germany and also confirmed (visually) some of the figures on this list and added some extra details so let’s dive in to this update! February 1, 2023 UPDATE: MOTU Origins Figures Confirmed Plus a Snake Mountain Update
Due to high security, Jay was not able to take any photos so we only have a text update to share for now but the news is exciting so here are the updates:
Snake Teela, 200x King Randor, and 200x Man-At-Arms
- Great news that Jay visually conformed that Snake Teela, 200x King Randor, and rumored 200x Man-At-Arms were seen on display at the event
Eternian Palace Snake Trooper Guard
- This figure either could have been the Horde Snake Trooper (and it very well could be coming out) but it was confirmed that we are getting the Eternian Palace Guard with the a Snake head!
Talon Fighter and Point Dread
- Not too much to say about Point Dread and the Talon Fighter but they were on display and visually confirmed
Snake Mountain
- We are pleased to report (via Jay) that Snake Mountain does not have the fugly colors we saw in it’s earlier prototype version and is closer in color to the vintage Snake Mountain. The snake is also corrected and he said it looks amazing!!!
King Randor 200x
Let’s start with one of my favorite characters second to the Sorceress and that is indeed Randy himself, yes another King Randor! We don’t know what a King Randor MOTU Origins figure could like but if the animated 200x version of him is any clue we are in for a real treat! It would be amazing to see this style of figure translated into an Origins design, even with a mechanical leg!
Thanks to yo_tengo_el_poder, we know that King Randor 200X is coming to the line officially as they posted a leaked MOTU Origins card art showing a 200x illustration of King Randor tangled with 200x Skeletor! It’s a new year and new rumors are starting to swirl around about the next coming waves of MOTU Origins. As you know, Wave 12 was recently announced, which included Hypno from the Rulers of the Sun line, Tung Lashor, Snake Armor Skeletor, and Mini Comic Roboto. Also, MOTU Origins Wave 12 in hand images are surfacing in Malaysia! This new image provides more evidence that a 200x King Randor is next in line for Wave 13.

This is how King Randor was animated in the MOTU 200x cartoon!

King Randor’s story was explored in the MOTU 200x cartoon in 2002, where:
In the 2002 Mike Young Productions remake, it is made apparent that in his youth, Randor was known as Captain Randor, a brave and steadfast warrior before being crowned King of Eternia by the Elders, although in the 1983 series, he is portrayed as having taken over the throne after his father, King Miro, disappeared. He even aids the Masters in a couple of episodes in their battles against Skeletor and his Evil Warriors and even the Snake Men. Apparently, after King Grayskull’s death, the Council of Elders was formed to rule Eternia. But after Keldor’s transformation into Skeletor they made Randor king as they became one with Castle Grayskull.
He is also tied more closely to the origin of Skeletor, having battled Skeletor when he was still Keldor during a war the Eternians call The Great Unrest. That war ended when Keldor and his forces attacked the Hall of Wisdom, home of the Elders, and Keldor and Randor engaged in a deadly duel that ended with Keldor hurling acid at Randor, only to have Randor deflect the acid with his shield, splashing the acid back at Keldor and burning his face, which led to his transformation into Skeletor. It is revealed by a writer that in this continuity Keldor and Randor are half-brothers, but it is never revealed if either knew that.
Prior to Captain Randor’s fight with Keldor, he was told by the Council of Elders they wish to make him King to succeed them as ruler of Eternia. Randor protests, saying he is a soldier, not a politician, but then turns his attention to the forthcoming fight. After beating back Keldor and his underlings, Randor calls for the Council, but is told by the Sorceress they are gone and have left him the means to create a powerful hero. Randor is unsure of this, likely thinking he will be responsible for training a great soldier, and is left asking “How will I know this hero?”
Many years after the fight with Keldor, Eternia has enjoyed many years of peace and prosperity, and Randor has taken up the mantle of King, now married to a woman named Marlena and fathered a son named Adam, the foretold hero Randor was responsible for. Although Randor is not aware his son is He-Man, it is likely explained that the inward courage, fortitude and bravery of Captain Randor passed to his son in latent ways, thus enabling Adam to have the means to become He-Man.
After the Council of Evil incident, King Randor established an Eternian Council consisting of himself; Chief Carnivus of the Qadians; Lord Dactys of the Speleans; the King Chooblah of the Kulataks; Queen Andreeno of the Andreenids; King Taurius of the Mintaurans; Hawke, representing the Avions, and some other unnamed council members.
https://he-man.fandom.com/wiki/King_Randor
In the NECA mini stature, King Randor is portrayed as a younger, more vibrant warrior and it would be amazing to see an armor design like the versions in the NECA statues. I doubt we would see a soft goods cape but if they are making more of a fury cape design, like we saw in the King Grayskull figure that in the Eternia Playset display at SDCC 2022, that is definitely doable!

Snake Trooper
The result of a fusion between Snake Men Soldiers and the technology of the Horde Troopers, the Snake Trooper would be another figure that Mattel could easily create as they mostly use the Horde Trooper buck with a new head.

The Snake Troopers were introduced in a three pack that was inspired by the unreleased 1988 vintage concept wave. The price per set that year was $165.00, and surprisingly, it is still available at the Big Bad Toy Store. Here are the promo pics and also the final product from 2019:

This is the exact same mold that was used for the red and black Horde Troopers from the Power Con 2020 Evil Horde 4-Pack and I think the silver Horde Trooper looks like the commander in the bunch for me but in order to not go into army building debt, the silver troopers will need to be the ones that make up the bulk of the army.

Snake Teela
The Snake Teela was an exclsuive and one of the best reviews of the figure we have seen on by ActionFigureBarbecue, where he states:
Teela looks amazing. I really like the 200x Teela figure as she was a fantastic, modern update to Teela. I really wish MOTUC had included a 200x styled Teela at some point. This figure takes the standard Teela, gives her armor a darker paintjob (with more details), and gives her green, scaly snake skin. Yeah, the snaky detail is simply painted on but it sure does look good. She’s very bold and colorful, almost possessing the “cel-shaded” look you see in some video games.
Action Figure Barbecue
As far as an origins figure, they would mostly reuse the Teela buck but it would be amazing to see a green skinned, textured version but they need to be careful that the figure does not resemble the Goddess. It would be cool to see crazy hair and fangs on the head sculpt but that might be wishful thinking!

In the second season episode of the MYP cartoon series “Second Skin” King Hsss uses the Serpent’s Ring to turn a number of folks, including Man-At-Arms, Mekaneck, and Teela into Snakemen.

Unknown MOTU Origins Deluxe Figures
In addition to named figures, Deep Discount also has several placeholder listings that go by the name of Masters of the Universe Origins Figure [insert number], which is very intriguing. Although we have not idea what these figures could be, here are the images and we are provided the other named rumored figures from previous leaks as speculation as to filling in the gaps for the unknown figures. There are 2 Deluxe figures and there are 3 single carded figures! There have been several figures hinted at or leaked for Deluxe figures, so let’s look at those below.
- MOTU Origins Deluxe Figure 3: MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE ORIGINS DELUXE FIGURE 3 Collectibles on DeepDiscount
- MOTU Origins Deluxe Figure 4 :MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE ORIGINS DELUXE FIGURE 4 Collectibles on DeepDiscount
Possible Deluxe Releases Based on Leaked and Rumored Figures
We have had several Deluxe figures teased or rumored lately, which included Dragon Blaster Skeletor and Snake Face. As, as we covered in our MOTU-origins-camo-khan-card-art-teases article, we got major teases for Laser Power He-Man and Laser Light Skeletor. They are also going to be featured on the upcoming Eternia Box Art as well, as soon at the Mattel 40th Anniversary Presser event. Let’s take a look at each possible candidate for the 2 Deluxe Figure slots!
Deluxe Figure Possibility #1: Laser Power He-Man
Featured on the Camo Khan card back art, you can see a very clear image of Laser Power He-Man! This is very exciting to think that we might be getting a Laser Power He-Man since he is one of the rarest vintage figures of the line! Back in 1988, the Masters of the Universe line’s popularity was waning and Laser Power He-Man was one of two final figures for Mattel. Similar to Laser Light Skeletor, Laser Power He-Man had a light up feature through his Power sword when held in his right hand
According to the Battle Ram Blog:
Laser Power He-Man was released Italy and Spain a year after the end of the Masters of the Universe toyline in the US. He was a figure most North American fans were not aware of until they discovered it online years later. That was certainly true for me. Because the figure was produced in limited numbers overseas, it’s one of the most expensive vintage He-Man toys to acquire today. (Update: I’m also informed that there was some distribution of Laser Power He-Man in Switzerland. Thanks to Olmo for the information.)

As with Laser Light Skeletor, the figure’s light up feature is activated by raising his right arm. A wire is snaked from the sword, under the armor on the right arm (which seems to exist only to hide the wire) and into the backpack. The light in the sword is powered by an AA battery that fits in the backpack.
The Italy release (shown below) has the newly sculpted head, which some have speculated is supposed to resemble Dolph Lundgren, who played He-Man in the 1987 Masters of the Universe Movie. Alternatively, it could resemble some actor who might have starred in the (never produced) interactive He-Man TV show. That’s purely speculative – they might not have had any actors in mind for the series. Looking at this and the early prototype closely, however, I think the most likely interpretation is that it’s just supposed to look like the original He-Man’s face sculpt, but with a more neutral expression and updated hair. Like Laser-Light Skeletor, all of Laser Power He-Man’s tooled parts are unique to the figure

Laser Power He-Man was one of the two remaining deluxe release figures of the vintage Masters of the Universe line in 1988. He had a light up power sword feature powered by his backpack. The light up feature was activated by putting the Power Sword in his hand. By the time this figure was released, the line’s popularity had died out in the United States, so it was released in Italy and Spain. Today, Laser Light He-Man and Laser Light Skeletor are of the highest valued figures of the entire MOTU vintage line and fetch triple digits!

Laser Power He-Man can with two variants of his head. The first was the original vintage head design, but was later changed to resemble Dolph Lundren who was then starring in the Masters of the Universe Motion Picture.

Deluxe Figure Possibility #2: Laser Light Skeletor
Laser Light Skeletor is featured very prominently on the back of Camo Khan’s card back art! He can be seen multiple times illustrated throughout the comic. He is seen shooting out his laser beam, sitting on his throne and commanding his evil henchmen Camo Khan to attack! One of the rarest of the original vintage action figures, Laser Light Skeletor is a sought after a very expensive vintage figure to acquire. If Mattel were to release him in the Origins line, I think fans would be totally over the moon with excitement!

Laser Light Skeletor was one of the two remaining deluxe release figures of the vintage Masters of the Universe line in 1988. He had light up eyes and a light up hand. The light up feature was activated by lifting his right arm, and his havoc staff was semitranslucent, so it was supposed to lit up while he held it in his right hand. By the time this figure was released, the line’s popularity had died out in the United States, so it was released in Europe. Today, Laser Light He-Man and Laser Light Skeletor are of the highest valued figures of the entire MOTU vintage line and fetch triple digits!

Deluxe Figure Possibility #1 alternate: Dragon Blaster Skeletor
Dragon Blaster Skeletor makes sense to be a deluxe figure for the next Wave 12, as only the single release figures have been revealed, but only time will tell. The vintage Dragon Blaster Skeletor action figure was released back in 1985 as a part of wave 4. Leader of the Evil Warriors, SKelly included his dreadful dragon with the paralyzing spray perched on his shoulder!

Dragon Blaster Skeletor was also released for the MOTU Classics Line in 2012, and was an incredibly cool and popular figure in the line! You can see how a highly articulated version of this character would look.
According to Dragon Blaster Skeletor Wiki | Fandom
As the ruler of Eternia® following Randor’s banishment, Skeletor® created a new magical armor infused with an Eternian Dragon, giving him the power to paralyze his enemies at first glance. His rule was cut short, however, when Skeletor’s former master Hordak® returned from Despondos™ with the help of Evil-Lyn®. Hordak® not only overthrew Skeletor®, but drove the Snake Men™ into hibernation. Forced into a war on multiple fronts, Skeletor® continued to lead his Evil Warriors into battle, often having to fight side-by-side with his former enemies – the now renegade Masters of the Universe®. Perched on his master’s armor, the Evil Dragon “pet” of Skeletor® stops his enemies cold with his paralyzing jet spray of venom

Deluxe Figure Possibility #2 alternate: Snake Face
We already covered the teases for Snake Face in More Snake Men coming to Origins in 2023! – (toyhabits.com) and MOTU Origins Wave 11 Rise of the Snake Men Card Art Teases (toyhabits.com) Unveiled during the CANAL DOS ROSMINEIROS live stream last year, they revealed the first of the Snake Men coming to Origins in 2023 and they were totally right! They had also revealed the additional Snake Men – King Hiss, Snake Face and Sssqueeze were also coming to Origins later in 2023! Please note, that this new wave of Snake Men have not yet been confirmed by Mattel nor any official images released, but our friends at @canaldosrosmineiros were right about the first wave of Snake Men, She-Ra and Beast Man Masterverse teases, so there is a really good chance we get these Snake Men figures!
Snake Face was also a very unique character and all new sculpt for the vintage line. Released in 1987, this most gruesome of the Snake Men Warriors featured an eye & mouth popping snakes feature which would turn his enemies to stone! Activated by the action lever on his back, the snakes would pop out of his mouth, eyes and shoulders! Due to this action feature, Snake Face did not have the waist twist feature, nor neck articulation. His arms even had snakes wrapping around them. His body was a completely new sculpt with intricate details on his chest and arms. He also sported the Snake Men logo on his chest. Snake Face came packaged with the usual snake staff in green, and a snake themed shield as well.
According to the Wiki Grayskull:
Snake Face first appears in the minicomic “Revenge of the Snake Men!“, where King Hiss summons him and Sssqueeze from the dimension where the Snake Men are trapped. Snake Face’s powers are the main focus of the comic, since he uses them against Prince Adam, Extendar and The Sorceress, who disguises herself as Queen Marlena. He-Man uses his Power Sword to revert the effect and, not long after that, in a battle in Viper Tower, He-Man turns all the Snake Men into stone, by reflecting Snake Face’s power of petrifaction back at them. Snake Face also appears in the minicomic “Energy Zoids“, where he transforms Rotar into stone to capture him and later makes him fight against the new Evil Warrior, Twistoid.

Single Carded Unknown MOTU Origins Figures
There were listings for 4 single carded unknown Masters of the Universe Origins figures on the Deep Discount website, and we have them listed below. We had several rumored figures coming to Origins so let’s take a look below what the possiblities may be for these 4 slots!
- MOTU Origins Figure 13: MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE ORIGINS FIGURE 13 Collectibles on DeepDiscount
- MOTU Origins Figure 14: MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE ORIGINS FIGURE 14 Collectibles on DeepDiscount
- MOTU Origins Figure 15: MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE ORIGINS FIGURE 15 Collectibles on DeepDiscount

Possible Single Carded Releases Based on Leaked and Rumored Figures
Since we already have rumors of Spikor, Sssqueeze, Eternian Guard Infiltator and Serpent Claw Man-At-Arms coming to the Masters of the Universe Origins line, we can imagine what those 4 figures could take the slots for the 4 single carded figures. Let’s take a look at the leaked and rumored figures that could possibly take the 4 slots.
Possible Single Carded Figure #1: Spikor
Spikor is one of the most anticipated MOTU Origins figures! One of the last holdouts of Skeletor’s henchmen, Spikor’s head and torso are completely covered in razor-sharp spikes. It was not clear whether the spikes are a natural part of his body or some kind of special armor, until the bio for his 2012 figure confirmed it is an armor magically fused to his body. In place of his left hand is a trident, which can extend and, in some media, fires a laser beam. Spikor was introduced into the Masters of the Universe toy line in 1985. His action figure’s feature is his spring-action waist, which propelled his trident to shoot out of its socket when his torso sprang back.

Spikor appeared, alongside Two-Bad, in a fantastic fight scene on the card art of Terror Claws Skeletor.

Stronox Customs just recently created a custom MOTU Origins Spikor and this looks like a kit bash of the Classics buck and a MOTU Origins buck. His work is amazing and you can see what an Origins concept would look like for this figure!
The details that Stronox puts in his customs is second to none and it’s very cool to see a mash up of a Classics and an Origins buck. The varying purple paint apps of light and dark purple mixed with black give the figure a very interesting, fluid look!
Possible Single Carded Figure #2: Sssqueeze
Sssqueeze has got to be the most unusual of the Snake Men, with his large snake like wrapping arms! Released by Mattel in 1987, Sssqueeze with bright lime green skin color and large wrapping arms was a blast for kids to play with! His arms were made of a flexbile rubber with a wire wrapping around inside that allowed you to pose him in fun squeezing positions. Watch out He-Man or your gonna get the SSSQUEEZE!! Just like the other Snake Men, this figure too was a totally new sculpt. Squeeze did include the spring-loaded waste and was wearing purple chest armor with the green Snake Men logo. He came with an extra-long purple snake pet. This is one character I currently don’t own in my personal collection, but now after researching him, I am going to have to pick one up!

As we covered in our More Snake Men coming to Origins in 2023 article, our friends at CANAL DOS ROSMINEIROS revealed that additional Snake Men were coming to Origins in 2023 which included King Hiss, Snake Face and Sssqueeze. Well we already say Kiss Hiss revealed at this year’s SDCC. And now we get teases of Sssqueeze on the Camo Khan Package.

According to the Wiki Grayskull:
Sssqueeze is a character in the Masters of the Universe franchise, He is a member of the Snake Men, who has the power to elongate his arms.
Sssqueeze first appears in the minicomic “Revenge of the Snake Men!“, where King Hiss summons him and Snake Face from the dimension where the Snake Men are trapped. He gets little character development, with Snake Face‘s powers being the main focus of the comic. Sssqueeze also appears in the minicomic “Energy Zoids“, where Rotar takes his long arm and uses him as a living mace. Sssqueeze also appears in the Marvel Comics series, first in issue #8, where he is depicted as a member of the Evil Horde, and later he makes a cameo in issue #12 as a member of the recently arrested Snake Men.

Possible Single Carded Figure #3: Eternian Guard Infiltrator
We believe that the Eternian Guard Infiltator will be similar to the Masters of the Universe Classics version that uses the snake head! This would be very easy for Mattel to make as they have already designed the Eternian Palace Guard in the Origins line.

To make an Eternian Guard Infiltrator figure, you will notice right off the bat is the Palace Guard reuses a bunch of parts from Man-At-Arms. For example, Man-at-Arms (MAA) gave us the green buck plus armor pieces on the left arm and left leg and with the Eternian Palace guard, we get new pieces for the right arm and right leg that are mirrored from the left. The belt has a nice red accent in the middle, which helps differentiate from the original MAA release.

The armor pieces on the left and right arms are separated to facilitate the bending of the elbows and the articulation. One issue with the armor on the arms is that it is very loose and easy to knock off, which was the same issue that Man at Arms suffered from. The forearm prices are more susceptible to falling down when posing so be careful. The bird emblem is raised and sculpted and reminiscent of the MOTU Classics Palace Guards set. It’s a brand new armor piece and it’s great to have this armor in the vintage Origins style. The head has a face-shield covering the face to make the figure a non description look so you can army build. It will be interesting to see if they include this aspect if they do a standard release of the Eternian Guard Infiltrator figure.

Possible Single Carded Figure #4: Serpent Claw Man-At-Arms
The 200x line was known for some pretty cool sculpts and concepts and Serpent Claw Man-At-Arms would be a great addition to the Snake Men line. We would love to see his oversized armor and his claw attachment as a weapon! This figure would be another easy one to make and would require some extra armor and his accessory.

The unique detailing on the armor would be another cool feature! With his mace that doubles as a grappling claw, this figure is bordering on a deluxe for Origins (but don’t tell Mattel!!!)
